So the Unilocal Spring Break Party was here on Thursday and I was starving, REALLY happy the event was at the Quartyard, as I had been wanting to try S&M. Was told that the Cubano was the most popular sandwich by far-Cubano($ 9.50)Roasted pork, swiss, house pickles, Dijon mustard, pressed semolina roll. As soon as I bit into it, I was like«where is the effing ham?» Here’s my breakdown: Ambiance/Cleanliness-It’s a permanent trailer in a public space… the grill and counters were spotless…4 stars Service…staff was as polite as you could ask for…5 stars Food…had a Cubano… the roasted pork was«pretty» good, but it isn’t a Cubano without HAM… try again folks…2 stars

Ahhhhhhhhh-mazing. Got to eat out of the S&M Food Canister at the Quartyard during the Unilocal Kick-off Party for Spring Break in SD. I had a very hot sriracha –laden bratwurst and onions on a roll and it was delicious… Sara and Amanda were working that afternoon, and they were hilarious, friendly, and completely helpful in going over the menu. Two thumbs up to both of them… PEOPLEEATINGTASTYANIMALS… my new favorite cause to support! LOVEIT!

The location was a part of the Unilocal Spring Break Welcome Party at Quartyard. It was tucked away behind the Party Games Stage. The staff was super friendly and my chicken sausage was very tasty, at was a little spicy with a cucumber slaw. The menu had a variety of sausages and other foods to satisfy your appetite. Overall the food was good, great customer service.

Stopped here during the San Diego Unilocal UYE. I ordered the pulled pork tacos, with chips & a beer. The tacos were absolutely fantastic. I rarely eat tacos as I typically don’t like them but I greatly enjoyed these, and even craved a second round. They had such a nice kick! The service was top notch. They ask your name at the start(so they know who’s name to call when the order is ready) but they handle it in a way that makes it feel as if they’re trying to get to know you as they follow it up with several ice breaker questions. I really enjoyed what I had here and look forward to trying something else. Such as their bacon flight…

Ok so Quartyard is amazing. They have food trucks most of the time, but if you always want to have a guaranteed great meal– just go straight here. The guys working there are super friendly and they have beer on tap! It’s usually a different selection then what’s at the bar– plus a much shorter wait time.

It was so hard to make a decision as to what to order because it all looked so good! I ended up with Some Like It Hot sausage and it was an excellent choice. Every bite was full of flavor… The bread was soft and yet a little crunchy on the outside, the sausage itself was incredible and the other toppings complimented it all perfectly. Sitting outside in the sun, eating this heavenly sausage while sipping cider was the perfect way to spend a Monday afternoon. The customer service and speed of serving up the food were also excellent.

Love the location, Quartyard. It’s outdoors and dogs are welcome, they have a little dogpark/run on the side. We brought our minpin with us and had some good time. I got the Some Like it Hot: Bison Chipotle Sausage. Pepper Jack Cheese. Sriracha Mayo. YUMMY to my TUMMY. and my wife got the Srircha Bacon Grilled Cheese. Mine was better. It was like a backyard BBQ with strangers(not a bad thing). Bring a bunch of friends and you’ll have an awesome time. These are 1 of the options of food/beer in the Quartyard. MUSTTRY.

Eric and Nolan are the two cutest sausage-slingers in East Village. My group of 6 ordered shots of whiskey at the Quartyard bar and were devastated when they said they didn’t have pickle juice for pickle backs. One of our pals went over to S&M and returned with the most delicious handcrafted pickle juice. THEN Eric returned a short time later with a sausage and pickle platter. On a Scale of 1 to Tom: total Tom.

The hotdogs/sausages are extremely small. It is a little pricey so we were expecting to at least have the quality/size we would typically get at a park or a stadium. Set-up is pretty cool but nothing amazing.

This Sausage and Meat at Quartyard has a limited menu. But who can complain when it’s at Quartyard? Good beer, good food, good atmosphere — it’s a recipe for a good time! I ordered the Coney Island — which is a Hebrew National All Beef Frank, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Diced Onion, and Coney Style Pork Chili. Menu — ENJOY!

I’ve wanted to try this place & was happy to see they had a location in Quartyard! My husband & I both got their Pomegranate Mules, which was perfect for a hot day. Not too sweet, hint of ginger beer, & refreshing. For food we got the Chipotle Bison Dog & Nachos. The Bison Dog was soo juicy. The nachos was loaded with flavor! Both tasted amazing. The main complaint I had was the meat on the nachos was barely there & they could’ve used better chips. I’d like to come back & try other items. Overall, its a nice addition to Quartyard! Heads up! They offer free hot dogs for your dog with purchase!

3.5STARS I’ve heard many good things about this place, so we decided to give it a try during one of the music events at the Quartyard. + Bison Chipotle Sausage Hot Dog $ 8 (Includes chips or potato salad) The sausage itself did have a lot of flavor but it was nothing amazing. Tasted like any other spicy flavored sausage to me. And it was nice that it wasn’t just sitting in a plain hot dog bun, more a more fancier french bread type of bun, but I didn’t like how the bun was too big for the hot dog. The hot dog literally filled up only half of the bun itself, and then topped off with cheese, grilled onions and siracha aioli. Didn’t really taste like bison, tasted like regular pork sausage. Overall it was okay. I decided to go with potato chips for my side, you get to choose either BBQ or Jalapeño. At least it was a good brand of chips. But I was hoping that they were house made chips. + Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich $ 12 (Includes chips or potato salad) The Philly cheese steak sandwich was also served on the french bread. This sandwich was actually really good. But yet again, not amazing and it also had just cheese, grilled onions, and siracha aioli. We had the potato salad for a side, and it was a small serving. It tasted ok. Nothing special either. + Mai Tai Cocktail $ 9.25 It had a slightly strong taste to it, but flavor was like bitter pineapple. + Raspberry Mule $ 9.25 This was my favorite item out of everything. It was nice and sweet and strong at the same time. I love mules! Overall, I would like to check out their other main location one day because they have more choices on their menu.

Food is okay at best. I was excited about Quartyard having a permanent food trailer for everyday consistency. Menu looks and sounds great and I’m pretty sure they make their own sausages. I’ve had about 5 items from the menu and everything just about looks and tastes the same. I’ve even tried one of their«sandwiches» which is still basically a sausage. The Bahn Mi was probably the most unique of all the sausages, but the chicken just didn’t go well with the other flavored. Maybe a pork or lemongrass flavored meat would have worked better. I wish they used better bread that was more toasted. Looks like they just use generic grocery store bread. On the bright side, staff working at the trailer are almost always super friendly and fun to talk to. Great try, but not quite there for this great of a venue space.

I have always wanted to try this restaurant & was thrilled to see that they had a location at the Quartyard! Alligator, Antelope, Andouille Sausage — Unfortunately, so-so. It was not as flavorful as I expected it to be & the meat was dry. Soda — Very flat & watered down(they will swap it out with another flavor, but it will still be flat).

This place is located in the Quartyard at East Village off of Market St. Pretty cool set up with beers and variety of dogs including lamb and alligator. They also offer sandwiches and salads chips and sodas for the non alcoholics. Pretty cool set up to come chill, have a beer and a dog, and you can also bring your dog if you have one. The side of red potato salad was delicious, wish it was a little larger for 2 bucks but i was satisfied. I had the coney island sausage dog with a nice helping of chili. The sausage had a good bite as well. Even though i had to wait for my friends order to be made and my food was on the verge of getting cold it was still delicious. The only thing i didn’t like was that the chefs seemed confused by the barrage of people ordering their food and not getting it in a timely manner. There were people before me that got their food after i got mine. They seemed to be confused or not prepared.

I love this new location! So S&M is the only permanent food truck inside quartyard. They have a wide variety of different meats for their sausages including alligator and kangaroo for those with curious pallets. The service is great and the food is decent. I have tried the pulled pork sandwich and the bahn mi. The sandwiches and sausages don’t come with anything but you can purchase a bag of chips. The pulled pork was ok but I really enjoyed the sauce that was on the sandwich. There are a few salad options for the non meat eaters. Portion wise I was pretty full after eating. You can also grab a draft beer from these guys as well as some speciality cocktails.

It is sure nice to learn that S&M opened up this eatery here at the Quartyard, because yes, it’s just another incentive to come down to the«Yard» for some libations, great eats, and music, It was morning still, but I had to have a draft beer, so I went for the St. Archer White Ale coupled with an S&M Bratwurst sandwich which comes with their house cured bacon as well. For kicks, I also added an artistic squirt of some Sirracha Aioli. The Brat was very moist and flavorful and the bacon was great and added a great crunch to the sandwich. However, I did believe the brat itself was undersized for the bun they served it on, and I would liked to have seen more of that terrific bacon. Speaking of the bun, it was a hell of a quality bun. It was very moist and tasty, and I especially enjoyed the dusting of cornmeal on its exterior. Both the high grain mustard and Sirracha Aioli were great on the bratty. The mustard was aggressive ad pungent and the sirracha was creamy and came with a slight bite. The beer was refreshing, but I would of preferred it served colder. They make mostly sandwiches and salads at this location, so don’t expect the full menu such as at the main location on Park Blvd. Good service.

Neat location! Serving up sausages in a shipping container. Located in the new Quartyard in East Village. They offer up a variety of sausages from lamb, beef, alligator, bison and others. These are tasty sausages. The also offer some local brews on tap. Including one that is Corondo Quartyard. I stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon. And what a nice treat on a beautiful afternoon. After getting my order, I was able to sit down at the picnics tables in the open court yard and enjoy my food and drink. Heads up, this place is located near the doggie friendly zone. There is an area that pet owners can let their dogs out to play. The downer on my order, was the for some reason my sausage seemed to take a few extra minutes to prepare as opposed to my friends. She was nice enough to wait for my food to be served, while hers got cold. And when I tried to order the alligator dog, they had run out of this one.
