When I’ve been in the past, the cashiers have always been polite.
Today, however, was a different story. There was a male cashier who rang me up. He was on a heated personal phone call the entire time, cursing at whoever was on the other line. He didn’t look at me once. Didn’t say a word to me. Didn’t tell me my total, just took my card and swiped it. I know I shouldn’t expect stellar customer service from a dollar store, but I would at least like my existence to be acknowledged.
Edit: My friend just went here a few hours after I left. She said the cashier was still on a personal phone call, but this time, it was on speakerphone so everyone in the store could hear.

Was excited to find out a dollar store opened nearby but when going there today I realized that though they have many items the prices are not cheap.. Most items cost more than a dollar. My experience at checkout was not great either. Their cash register was broken and charged me twice for the same item. The girl at the counter got defensive and said it was not her fault but it was not necessary to talk back to me when I pointed out the problem. She fixed it but that attitude was unprofessional. Not that my expectations were higher but still respect goes a long way. Anyway I will not be going back and I give this place less than a year before it closes.

Wow this place has everything! Well, not really, but for a discount store, they have so much to offer; more so than what I’ve found at the Dollar Tree. Happened to find this place while eating in the same plaza. Came in with my hubby, son, sis, bro and his family and we all came out with so much stuff. Granted, not everything is $ 1. But most items range from $ 1 – 3.99.
Cool finds:
-$ 1.99 trash bins (they have a nice decorative floral print)
–1.99 for 3 decorative Christmas felt wine bags
-$ 1.99 6 pack toddler socks
-$ 1.99 6 pack of race cars (for my son)
-$ 2.99 — $ 3.99 for an assortment of As Seen on TV items (hubby has a white elephant ASOT theme coming up for work)
-$ 1.99 gloves (needed something for my Disneyland trip tomorrow)
-$ 3.99 Boys Avenger t-​shirt
Great place for stocking stuffers, cleaning products, misc things for the home, knick knacks, etc. we were all impressed with all stuff we found at a cheap price! The lady was so nice at the register she have my brother’s kids free key chains!

Oh look! Another business has opened up in that funny little corner area of this strip mall where the soccer store and furniture store used to be. I walked in and looked around after I went to Subway next door. This is not a bad Dollar Plus store and I am sure that the nearby apartment residents must appreciate the convenience factor here.
But I did knock off 2 Unilocal STARS because the new owner Unilocaled his own store & of course, gave it 5 Unilocal stars. Another Unilocaler, who created a brand new Unilocal account, also Unilocaled it 5 Unilocal Stars. Not only is this a big no-​no but this is fraud. Dollar Plus does not need to resort to stunts like this when perfectly good Unilocalers such as myself are nearby.
3 Unilocal STARS for convenience and good prices on things we all need like laundry soap and gift wrap. 2 Unilocal STARS deducted for 2 initial fake Unilocal that should be flagged and removed.
