Only place to play if you are in the San Diego Area. As an East coast transplant, I was about to throw away my racquet with no place to play. I played with some old fogey profs at the UCSDRIMAC. It was totally weird because they varnished the floors which made it tough to play and especially slide correctly. But the real reason for not continuing was I did not have any friends to play with me on a consistent basis. Am glad I found this place! I try to come to a challenge night twice a month. I don’t pay for a membership but I think $ 20 is great for the court rental and the ability to play anyone around for a night. The members who are around on challenge nights are really friendly. The clientele is mostly male so if any other ladies are out there PLEASECOMEANDPLAYWITHME! I love the vibe which is totally encouraging and collegial. Even though I am clearly not everyone’s favorite hitting partner with my weird loopy serve and just in general lazy feet, I have never had a challenge night where there was not someone willing to play with me. Maybe I’ll actually start working out to get better. Seriously, the people are so nice that I might actually see the inside of a gym. So if you are just interested in learning squash, interested in getting back into it, or are an expert, San Diego Squash is the best place to play in San Diego.

I’ve been playing squash all over the country from a young age. There are better places in the United States that are bigger or more comprehensive or this or that… but the people here make it what it is. The people here are awesome. its always a fun time. there’s a little bar area where you can drink and watch a game as well.

I have been a member for ten years. The new owners really take into consideration member feedback to improve the club. All levels of players here, great courts, and guests are welcome to try out the club.

Ok, let me get this out of the way, it’s expensive, even by squash standards. That being said, I love this place. One of the best things about this place is that there are actually people here playing all the time. People are passionate about the game here. It is getting harder and harder to find anywhere to play squash these days(or anyone to play with). There are four courts, they are clean and in great shape. Also there is beer! Holy Crap! Beer! It’s not free though so don’t get too excited. Could this place be better? Yes. But is it as good as any alternatives nearby or better? Yes. Try it out, you’ll probably be pleased.
