Really great exhibit especially since the koala has always been my favorite animal. It has been well upgraded and I’m glad to see the koalas doing their thing sleeping in trees comfortably. My only qualm is the fumes from the bus tours that waft into the entrance. If people weren’t so lazy and just walked the zoo or rented scooters instead, there would be less fumes. Or if the zoo offered hybrid vehicle tours or electric car tours, or more bike powered tours that would be awesome.

Koalafornia is an updated Koala experience. The real highlight of this place are the Tasmanian Devils, though they’ve always been asleep when I’ve been here. So I guess that’s not much a highlight. The actual Koala exhibit is pretty good because there are multiple opportunities to see Koalas up close. Again they’re also always asleep. Is there a theme here? — A nice climbing tree for the kids… — Large Didgeridoos.

The night time zoo is so much better than day time zoo! I’d say the perfect time to go is around 5:30−6p since it’s still bright out for another few hours but it’s no longer blazing hot so the animals are actually out and about doing animal things :)
