If this is the right company– I booked SD Movers to help me with my move to a new apartment less than 5 miles from where I was living for Saturday, 5÷31÷14 at 9:00am. At 9:00am one of the guys came to my door to tell me they had a flat tire and wouldn’t be able to move me until 1:00. I was supposed to be out by noon, so I was stressed out but a flat tire was out of my control. Then, at 12:56pm, I got a text from them saying it was going to be closer to 4:00pm. I said that was unacceptable and that if their truck was still unusable they should rent a different truck and move me asap. I had to be at my new apartment by 2:00pm to have my internet set up, and a friend had to wait at my old apartment to let the movers in and make sure they got all of my furniture and boxes. They didn’t arrive until 3:15pm. It took them over four hours to load up the truck and get to my new apartment. It was only one bedroom set, a sofa, and a china cabinet, and a couple boxes. Not a huge job. They arrived at my new apartment at 7:30, after not answering the phone for an hour. While unloading all of my belongings they damaged a wall, almost left without putting my bed together, ruined my china cabinet, and denied doing all of those things… I watched them. My grandparents watched them. When I complained about the amount of time they took, the manager responded, «you didn’t have to use us.» What?! I was promised that their insurance would come that week to repair everything. It has been almost a month. Their website is down, I can’t get a hold of the manager, and nothing has been fixed.
