Paul my nail technician does an amazing job with my nails all the time. He does great designs and art work as well. The store is in a great location with lots of parking.

I have been coming here since 2007 and have always received excellent service. I usually always come in for a fill and a pedicure. My nails last and last and are always done exactly the way I want them to be. The only complaint is that it is a little bit more pricey compared to other places. I enjoy the atmosphere and the massage chairs. You have to tip only in cash, but they accept cards for the overall payment. I never make an appointment; I only do walk ins and have been seated in a timely manner every time.

This is the worst place I have ever been to, hands down, no question. The second star is because they have friendly service but the quality is just so bad! I came in for a french manicure and a pedicure. The french was bubbly, blurry, and with no pink. The top coat didn’t last even one day, started peeling at the edges. The pedicure came out bumpy and uneven. I barely felt the foot massage while the arm massage left me bruises. They’re so nice here, but it’s still the absolute worst.

Great nail salon. The environment is chill and it’s professional. I got my acrylics done by Phoebe and she does a great job. She makes sure all your nails are evenly proportioned.

I was very disappointed in my manicure. The lady did not do a good job painting my nails. she missed parts of my nail and messed up the paint without fixing it. other than that the hand massage was relaxing.

This is the most horrible nail shop in all of Mira Mesa. First off I always tell them what I want and they tell me to do something else as if they cannot satisfy my needs I walk in just waning my toes done and gel polish on my nails and I leave with acrylic overlay with gel polish. They did not use the right gel set after my nails were done so the polish has been coming off all week. 3 nails have broken in a 1 week span and I went to get two fixed the girl who did my nails acted like she didn’t know me and didn’t remember what color I used so I had to tell her and the new lady that fixed my two brown nails messed up a third nail and only did a half coat of polish so they look a different color. These are the worst people I will never go back as many times as I’ve said that I promise I will never go back.

I’ve been here a few times and the ladies are always very nice. I’ve had my eyebrows waxed I think it’s like $ 8.00 which is pretty decent. I’ve gotten a gel mani a few times as well and it always comes out great! Shout Out to Vivian who did it for me last time, she was super fast and my nails came out great! My only gripe is the price for the gel mani. I see other places advertise it for 20 – 25, here it will cost 35.00.

Amy gave me a great pedi! I did choose the $ 40 option but miscommunication got me the #14 and not the $ 40 mani padi. So it was $ 48, (bring your cash cause they only do cash tips!) in the end it was ok cause it was the best pedi of my life by AMY. The mani looks great and they both took their time on my treatments. Including warm lotion soak, and Scrub, AND message to the elbow/​knee! But the stand out is Amy. And. I’m Very pregnant so she gave me a «little gift for the baby» and through in cute flower design on my toes. Nice touch.

I had been to this salon a few times before because it is walking distance from my job. Before I had only seen Holly every time and she always did a great job! I guess she’s no longer there so I just saw a woman who had an open chair, first mistake! I asked for almond shaped nails and she said okay. She shaped them round and I had to ask her to change them. She finally got them to a decent shape I could live with and then we moved on to polish. This is THE WORST gel polish job I’ve ever had. It’s all over my cuticle, it’s spotty in sections and it’s just bad. I came during my lunch break, and I didn’t have time to really look at my nails until now and I’m very disappointed! Now I have to pay more to get my polish redone! I’m only giving 2 stars bc the actually nails themselves are fine.

Cute, clean salon. Only down a star because they don’t have much of a selection of polish colors. However, I do appreciate that the ladies didn’t try to upsell me at all. They asked what I wanted (simple spa pedi w/​polish) and that’s what I got! They have a little menu of options to chose from. I pointed and that was it. Super relaxed, and none of that «want to add a flower» stuff.

Holly is gone… Which also meant I shouldn’t have gone back to this store. She was probably the only good thing about this place.
The place has very disrespectful and rude employees. Asked me if I paid yet and I said no. Then they asked rudely then who’s going to pay. They haven’t even started painting my nails and asked me to pay or they wouldn’t paint my nails. After that they did a terrible job. The French manicure I got was crooked and they even gave me a cut from trying to finish «quickly». It was obvious that they were rushing, but there wasn’t even a flood of customers. Awful experience and it felt like they were bad mouthing other customers in their own native language. Very discriminatory shop. Will definitely avoid to go there at all costs in the future. Will go to a different shop nearby.
Was disappointed the only thing good about the shop was the chairs, but everything else was disappointing. Serenity is a wrong name for the shop; it did not give me a serene feeling. I just walked out feeling awful because after I finished they asked me to pay again. The lady that told me to pay first said I paid and asked if I wanted change so I can tip her. As I left, I noticed that they didn’t ask the other customer to pay first then paint. The other customer paid after they were finished painting her nails.
The pricing seemed off too. She mumbled $ 35, then said had to add 4 more dollars for French and said pay $ 8, then she said never mind pay $ 4. Are they just making up numbers?
Overall,
I wouldn’t go here. Just do your nails at home or find another location with better service. Anywhere is better than here.

Very nice upscale nail salon in Mira Mesa. Lots of nail technicians but it does get pretty busy! So book an appointment ahead.
Angie is very nice and good at what she does! She’s the pretty blonde one. She also keeps up a conversation with you so it isn’t so boring getting your nails done at all.
I got my nails done by Tina. After always getting acrylics I decided to give it a break and get shellac! My French tip nails were so nice and perfect. Total with tip was $ 40. Unfortunately probably since I work a lot with my hands they only lasted me less than a week but I’ll probably come back to do acrylics when the time is right.

After reading mixed reviews, I just sucked it up and went inside, since I ended up here on accident… And I’m glad I did!
I needed a mani and pedi done. Which was a two man job. I had a man assist me with my fingers, and a woman do my toes. I was iffy on the guy doing my nails. I’ve had men work on my hands, and they were horrible. But, this guy did an amazing job! He really took the time to make my nails look perfect! The lady did my toes really well. Her massage was on point too. For 10 mins, it felt like heaven.
A basic pedicure was $ 22, which wasn’t bad. And my acrylics with gel was $ 35. This will definitely be my new nail place.

I’m such a sensitive person about my nails and i’m usually very picky! But i finally found the right person in serenity nails! **HOLLY** is the best!!! She exactly knows, what she is doing and she is very clean and such a nice and lovely lady! All you should do is to relax and enjoy your spa day with her! Highly recommended!

I had my nails done at one of their other locations, the lady who did my set was very nice but she was new. it’s sad but even after fixing them my nails didn’t look good. needless to say one of them broke very low & Vivian went ahead and fixed what was done incorrectly and made my nail nicer than the rest at no charge! I’ll definitely be going to her again

By far my favorite place for nails. All the nail techs are amazing and super nice. I was really spoiled finding this place.
Whenever I come into SD I always stop by. It is truly hard to find this level of service anywhere.

This place has amazing customer service. I’ve been coming to this nail salon every 2 – 3 weeks for the past year and will continue to do so. All the nail technicians work hard to make you happy and comfortable. Today Holly did a phenomenal job on my nails and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve never left this place disappointed and I get nothing but compliments on my nails.

Although the pedicure itself was not bad, the name should be «factory nails» as there was nothing serene about it. Workers shouting across the room at each other, the girls doing mine and my daughters pedis talking to each other the entire time in very loud voices to be heard above all the other noise. Was not relaxing at all — just wanted it to be over.
Also paid for the better pedi which was a complete waste of money as it was no different than the basic.
Definitely would not recommend.
