Went here for lunch yesterday and was NOT impressed at all. There were only 2 other people ahead of me and it took me at least 20 minutes to get my food. I ordered the California burger combo(fries and a drink, but I replaced the soda with a shake) and it cost over $ 13. I’m only giving it 2 stars simply because they were friendly and they shake was palatable. I was really craving a burger before I got here so I dove in immediately, YUCK! The burger had no flavor, the cheese tasted like it had been wrapped in plastic for days and the fries tasted as if they hadn’t changed the oil in the fryer for weeks. The best of the worst was the shake. Nothing special, but it was the only thing on my tray that I finished. I threw out over half my burger and fries. Totally bummed and disappointed. If you have a burger craving and you are stuck at UTC mall I recommend going to Red Robins or Eureka. At least the food should taste like it hadn’t been microwaved or walked over.

It’s just kinda meh :| Got chicken strips with fries and a soda. Three tiny strips, that we’re closer to nuggets, but tasted ok and fries were pretty good. Based on the food taste alone I’d give ‘em 3.5 stars. The service was pretty bad. They’re not yelling at you or anything, but don’t seem to give a(bleep) either. Add to that it was a $ 9+ lunch, which is expensive for what you get and less than stellar service. Don’t think they’ll be around much longer, especially with a Philly Steak place opening up next door.

I ordered the Bulgogi Burger and it wasn’t that great… I thought the sauce was too sweet. My husand had the Angus Burger, which tasted like an overpriced burger we could have made at home(not worth it). We also ordered a side salad that looked like cut veggies that they thrown on a platter. Didn’t look appetizing, but we ate it anyways. For beer we ordered a Sapporo and Shocktop. Nothing fancy lol but we were surprised to see it at a food court fast food joint. My biggest complaint was that it took forrreeevvvvveerrrr for our order to come out. For two hungry people, we started to run out of patience. We didn’t have a good first experience here so we’re probably not returning…

Well, let’s face it, nothing says slim pickens like the UTC food court. But the ambiance is spectacular, with the ice rink and stuff. I was in the mood for something quick and easy on the day I walked in here. I saw the sign, Simon’s Burger, and thought, just what the world needs, another burger joint. But then I noticed they had bulgogi as an option, and I’ve never had that. I did, and I probably won’t do it again, bulgogi with noodles, rice, or even in a wrap? Yes… in a burger bun? Not so much, although it will probably be good with the lettuce option. Did they have salmon? I don’t remember, but I might try that next time. The shake was pricey… but really, really, tasty. Worth trying out, but for bulgogi? You gotta go to Bulgogi House. An OK choice if you’re in the mood for this kind of stuff.

So I was at the mall with the fam the other day finishing off our back to school shopping. It was dinner time so we headed over to the food court. It’s a nice option because we can satisfy most cravings of five different palettes. While I typically I go for phở in this mall, I was craving a burger today. After ordering for the kids, I came across Simon Burger and decided to order here. I was choosing between the bulgogi burger or the chili cheese. I ended up going with the sloppy American version. Each burger is prepared to order on an open flame grill. Not exactly sure of the size, but the patties themselves seem a bit small. I wasn’t watching the whole time, but it didn’t look like they put any seasoning on the patties while cooking. Hopefully there would be some flavor to the burger patty itself. Each burger comes with regular fries. I decided to upgrade to the chili cheese fries and make my attempt at cardiac arrest complete. When they called my number, I was awaiting pure nomness. I had already picked up and delivered the kids’ orders and they were grubb’n down. As I approached the counter, I was a bit disappointed upon seeing the size of the burger and the amount of chili topping it off. Looking at the picture on the menu, I was expecting some oozing goodness of chili and cheese, however it all looked too clean to be a true chili n cheese delight. This particular order came on a brioche bun with house sauce. Upon my first bite, I could taste a lot of bun. I was hoping to get some sense of the chili or the patty. But unfortunately the bun won out. It was a pretty decent bun as buns go. Warm and toasted on the outside with a bit of a firmness from being toasted. Not mushy. As for the flavor, I couldn’t get much else. The cheese slice wasn’t bad. Good amount of ooze and flavor there. The next couple of bites I got a little more of the chili. The chili itself was pretty beefy. Not a lot of anything else that I could tell. No beans, looked like some tomatoes, onions and garlic. Mostly ground beef. I think I would have enjoyed it more had there been more seasoning. Maybe as simple as salt and pepper. The chili cheese fries were ok as well. Maybe a better choice for the upgraded fries would have been the garlic parmesan. You could definitely see the beef in the chili. Kudos to them for not skimping there. But again, not much flavor overall. So for me, this burger sits right in the middle of burger options. Not great, not terrible. I suppose for the price, it’s pretty alrighty for being mall food. I’ve definitely seen more expensive, but it’s not going to kill your wallet. I may end up returning only after trying the other places I have yet to sample in the food court. Keep on Unilocal’n!

This place features the build your own burger. What is cool about here is that the meat patties are all the same price and they have tons of choices. In terms of toppings there are less choices. The burger was super tasty and at a good price. The fries were awesome. Perfectly cooked. Both sweet potato and regular.

It was a decent experience with Simon’s Burger at this mall. I agree with other commentors that the prices are kind of high. On the other hand, it is a relatively upscale mall. I had the veggie burger. It took a long time to prepare it, which was annoying because I was the last one to get my food. Most of the others got food from the Thai place in the food court. The pattie seemed to be one of those morningstar frozen patties. So nothing too exciting there. Overall and including the toppings, the burger was fine. The fries were really good. Super crispy. I think there should’ve been some more salt on them, though. But they were fried perfectly. So overall not sure I’d go back to Simon’s. I guess there’s not terribly wrong with it, but there are tons of options in the food court and so many things to try. It was a good chipotle-fied burger concept and the execution was OK.

3.5 stars Goop option at the food court if you’re a vegetarian. You can build your own burger and add all the available toppings you want, even extra tomatoes for no extra charge! It’s only extra if you add cheese. My bf ordered the veggie burger on sesame bun with everything on it(house dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and jalapeños). He asked for extra tomatoes and it was still less than $ 6. I got a veggie on brioche bun with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. We also got a side of onion rings and fries. The burgers looked gourmet and according to my bf, piping hot! Because he had warned me, I munched on the fries and onion rings first. Didn’t touch the burger for a while actually. The fries were good, but greasy. The onion rings were even greasier and not much to write home about. I liked their BBQ sauce and ranch dressing. The burger was pretty good! Not the best veggie burger i’ve had, but it was tasty. Service was friendly.
