The best burger I’ve ever had! If you are new definitely try their original first. Their 50⁄50 burgers are to die for! It’s hard to put down after you start eating. I would definitely come back again and again. there will probably be a wait but if you download the nowait app you will be seated 5 – 10 minutes after checking in. The waiter was amazing and was very knowledgeable about the beer selection. Also their bacon fried macaroni and cheese balls are amazing as well! This is a MUSTTRY

My friend talked this place up as one of the best burgers around. It did not disappoint! Nice juicy burgers and lots of bacon! Bacon everywhere! Even in the shakes! Lots of beers on tap as well The loaded fries were amazing but probably clogged my arteries. Thank you for shortening my life with all the bacon. Bacon in the patties too!

We had a really bad experience with Slaters 50⁄50 and are glad we came in tonight. The service of Corinne was awesome! What a great server and very attentive! I had the 50⁄50 with beer cheese, onions, peppers in a lettuce wrap ! So rule of thumb, maybe ask for Corinne(plus one) !

Probably the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had all thanks to our server Joe. Made us feel at home, very helpful even on a busy day he was on it. For starters the food there is always awesome, the greatest creations constantly made to perfection by the chefs. The atmosphere is great not too loud free Wi-Fi and family friendly. The beer selection is by far better than any other place boasting more than 100 beers on tap. I won’t fault Joe for recommending a Karl Strauss beer it wasn’t half bad or the chicken salad that came out barely warm him and manager Christine took care of us for that. Love the place and going back and Joe doing a great job you should be moving up soon to set the standard in representing a brand or franchise.

Heard so many awesome things about this place, it’s pretty good but there’s a few things that didn’t go as planned. My burger I ordered was delicious but undercooked… I asked for medium and it was very medium rare(more emphasis on the rare). The bread was good but kept falling apart within a few bites. Fries were decent, the Mac cheese bites were delicious but really 5 little balls for the price was really unreasonable. I don’t know how that was an appetizer it wouldn’t even feed a little child. Was excited for the watermelon lemonade but it wasn’t anything special. Service was excellent but portions were a bit of rip off. It did take a bit of time for everything to get to us and we waited a long time to be seated. Would’ve gave more stars if my burger wasn’t pinkish red.

I would have given 5 stars but our food took a very long time to come out. We notice others getting their food a bit faster than we got ours. Mel was are server and was amazing. She was very nice and knowledgeable of what Slater’s had to offer. Even put my phone I’m the office so I could charge it. I would eat here again. Bison bacon burger and porka-cola was amazing. Thanks. You new friends from Phoenix Arizona

Instead of our usual restaurant in Liberty Station, we wanted to try Slaters 50⁄50. In all fairness, I’ve been a couple times a few years ago, but it’s been awhile. We walk up and the hostess didn’t seem too happy to be there but it didn’t look like she wasn’t feeling well so I will give her a pass. I love that they take your phone number and will text you when a table is ready. From the times I’ve been, they tell you a long time and they normally text me 5 – 10 minutes later(party of 2). We were seated and our server, Adrienne, was great! She was very cheerful, always having a smile on. We ordered and it took a long time for our food to come out. I guess that is the downside to getting seated so fast. I tried the California Burrito Burger. I love California burritos and burgers so maybe the two would be good. People say I’m a picky eater and the burger was definitely different, but not bad either. It was a little spicy so that was a nice touch. I would go back, but probably not as often as my usual places because I’m not that adventurous when it comes to eating. I would also like to mention our server that took over for Adrienne was also amazing. She was very attentive and friendly as well. I think her name is Amanda. Two awesome servers that made us forget about our welcome.

The hubs and I stopped in today for lunch. Got lucky getting there when we did, because there was a heck of a crowd outside waiting to get in when we left! The interior wasn’t what I was expecting, though I’m not really sure what I was expecting. It was pretty divey… I think I was expecting more hipster maybe? After reading on Unilocal how long the wait for food can be here, and our servers telling us it does take time for orders, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly all our food came out. We started with the brussels sprouts, which were really good. If you’re into sprouts, try ‘em. Each of us opted for a special 50⁄50 burger. I got the Original, without avocado mash. The hubs went with the Sriracha burger. While he enjoyed his, I was a bit underwhelmed with mine. Nothing to do with how it was cooked. I just don’t think the 50⁄50 patty is for me. Next time, I think I’ll go with a straight burger — or maybe the bison. The fries were really good and they’ve got a nice, long beer list. Service was upbeat and very personable. Anna and Amanda were both great. Thanks, ladies!

Very causal and relaxed restaurant! Servings are huge! I got their Hawaiian burger that comes with the beef patty, pineapple, and spam! I don’t know if I was in love with it, I think this is way too heavy… I only ate half a serving and I don’t think I was able to finish all of it. The restaurant has a fountain right outside. Lines get really long, so if you have a big group, I would highly recommend you to make a reservation ahead of time! They do accommodations, I came for a birthday celebration and they were completely okay with me bringing cupcakes. Very friendly staff!

I read, as I am sure many of you have on hear, about how epically terrible the wait times and service is at this location. I came here to test this and to see whether these claims were well-founded, or if the reviewers were just a bunch of whiny and impatient millennials who didn’t quite get their way. Here are the results… Service=2: I actually came on a Wednesday early afternoon(~1 or 2pm) to take out crowding from the factor. Though not completely empty, it seemed like the restaurant was a little less than half capacity when I had arrived. By the time I had left, it was nearly ¾ full. This increase didn’t seem to be due to a sudden influx of diners, but that ones from earlier weren’t being served and processed at nearly the same rate as people coming in. The moment I was seated I secretly set a lap timer on my phone to see how long everything would take. Once seated, to get my order taken was 10 minutes and 42 seconds. To put some perspective, a random Wednesday at Denny’s would take about 5 minutes, but the rush hour at a restaurant such as 50⁄50 could take 25 to 40 minutes at times if at capacity. So, no biggy. Once my order was placed however, I sat. And sat. And sat. A couple next to me came in for their lunch hour, and had to ask the waitress to change their order to-go with the bill upfront so they wouldn’t get at trouble from returning to work too late. That was at 40:52 into my time, about 35 minutes into the couple’s. The waitress went to go check with the cooks, and found that instead of pushing the orders as they were finished, the cooks decided to hold all the orders at one time until a whole section of the restaurant was done! Uh-oh. The couple then asked me how long I was waiting at my 42:01 minute mark, and I showed them my phone. Within seconds of this, the waitress brought my food, but also brought the food of diners who had been there minutes after or minutes before me in no particular order I understand the need to cook the bacon in these patties at a higher time and standard to keep them safe, but it’s BECAUSE of this reason that the cooks should be finding ways to be more efficient, not less. Ambiance=3: Considering this location is in Liberty City, there is a lot of local San Diego pride schwag on the wall(think Bolt jerseys and Padre gear), as well as vintage ads. Makes the place seem comfy. food = 5: The food IS worth it. The patties live up to their name, and the bacon ketchup should be an option in every restaurant. Overall: 3.3

Chad and Mika are party animals! These 2 bartenders on the patio made our 90-minute wait for a table so much fun that we actually turned down our table when it was ready! They supplied us with beer samples, and helped us select our fav cold beers. We ordered a burger, a side and an appetizer, and enjoyed sitting at the bar on the patio. The kitchen accidentally duplicated our appetizer, so we shared it with other customers at the bar, which made us instantly popular, LOL! As you can see, I was still able to eat gluten on my most recent visit to Slaters. I’m curious to visit again and see what they have that’s gluten free. Slaters is really a fun, friendly, tasty and lively spot!

Came here last Sunday for brunch! It was actually reaaaally crowded. Parking wasn’t bad but our wait was like 30 – 40 minutes quoted at the door. Luckily we only had to wait exactly 31 minutes so I’m preeeetty happy about that. Our waitress was very nice! She was super tentative and always asking if we needed anything(cause we have a toddler who kept losing all her crayons lol). Our food took quite some time but that’s okay cause it was busy and they had tvs inside so we weren’t bored or anything. Food wise of course we had to make our own burgers!!! Mine had avocado cause I loveeee ‘em. My husband added like Fritos and eggs and some other random things. We also tried their shanimal fries which were soooooooooooooo bomb!!! I really liked everything. Can’t wait to go back there! P. S.THEYOFFERMILITARYDISCOUNT!

The hubs and I were in the hood, checking out the new Liberty Public Market. We had a great time but wanted to get away from the crowds for dinner. We went to Slater’s 50⁄50 for a good olé burger and a beer. I decided to order the 50⁄50 since that’s their jam. I did like it. It did have the bacon flavor, for sure. The bun was awesome, and the toppings just fine. We shared two sides, the frickles and the onion rings. That’s where I didn’t fall in lub. They were ok. Just ok. Honestly they almost felt like something out of the freezer section that was thrown in a fryer. Maybe it was unlucky for Slater’s that I had AMAZING fried dill pickles at a cute little beach joint in North Carolina the week before. But you can tell the different between what feels ‘homemade’ and fresh, and what feels overbreaded and underwhelming. So all in all, burger was good. Service was good. But sides, they are important and they were not good, and they were not hot when served, barely warm. That KILLS me when it happens. So I’ll give em an a-ok. Maybe another try would be a 4 star review… maybe…

I definitely have gotten my bacon on at Slater’s 50⁄50 on multiple occasions. To save you time and effort, I will make this short and sweet! 1. This place gets really really friggin’ busy! Plan accordingly. 2. Get the bacon. You would be silly to not have it on something or anything served here! 3. Create your own burger is amazing! You can make whatever concoction your little heart desires. I’m not a big fan of their buns though. Very dense. 4. Don’t sleep on their salads! Yeah, I’m that guy that got a salad at Slater’s 50⁄50. I had their Sriracha Soba Chicken Salad today and wowowowowow, it was awesome! It was not that spicy, and it had a great sweet kick to the dressing. So sweet and spicy, there you go! Chicken was good, maybe not the best chicken I’ve had on a salad, but they give a generous portion! The soba and the crispy wonton made it! Try it and let me know! 5. Frickles! Yes! 6. If you want dessert, skip the meal and go straight for it! Have fun, go at an odd time, and get bacon. In that order!

Friday Night(7pm) and the family was packed and ready. My wife called ahead and put our name down. We were called 10 minutes after we arrived(30 min total wait). However, when we called we should have mentioned that we required a sling for the car seat. The table was too high, and the high seats could not accommodate a sling so we waited an extra 10 minutes after being called the first time(40 min total) until another table was available. One more tip, there is no room for a stroller between the tables, so leave it in the car or you can leave it by the front desk/tent. We were seated and Jenny came right over and made us feel at home. We ordered the Siracha($ 13) and Hawaiian($ 12.50) with onion rings($ 6). Mac&Cheese for the kiddo($ 7), the Bacon Mary cocktail($ 10) ~bloody mary~, and finished out with the Bacon Brownie($ 9). Fast forward 40 minutes and we received our food. * My Siracha burger was very good. My first bite had quite a punch, spicy but I could still taste the meat. It MUST have been REALLYSLOW cooked because it was not dry, good texture. Really thick and delicious bacon hanging out the sides. Held together by the signature knife with a noticeably glossy bun. I mean really glossy. ;) *My wife enjoyed her burger however I did not taste it. Her Bacon Mary cocktail was picante. I told her to send it back, but she’s no quitter. She powered that puppy down. We both agreed the onion rings were good. My daughter did not touch her Mac&Cheese, it had a taste that she is not accustomed to. Although it was good, it did not pass her test. Darn it. * As for dessert, Jenny said we should order the Bacon Brownie and her advice was spot on. A scrumptious chocolate brownie with bacon sprinkled over and baked in it served with three scoops of vanilla ice cream. A great end to our dinner. We sat inside which has an upbeat atmosphere with plenty of tv’s. Noise level is mid to high. I noticed that the seating outside is a bit more toned down and better for laid back conversations. Just keep in mind planes fly over constantly. Although the kitchen was a bit slow, the front-end service was nothing short of spectacular. Jenny was great with my daughter and checked in with us regularly. This is a really good burger joint to experience when time allows.

Wow, amazing food! Their burgers are incredible, really unique and there’s one for everyone. If you like beer you’ll adore their massive beer list binder or one of their liquor milkshakes(so great). The portions are HUGE, you get what you pay for. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, nice to have a server without an attitude for a change. When it’s really busy it may take a while for your order to come out but it’s worth it :) We’ll definitely be back!

Update ¾/16: Dropped by for a burger since the bride and I were too lazy to cook. We were served by Kohl, and I had to give him a shout out for SUPERB service. He surreptitiously(There’s a $ 2 word for you, you’re welcome) kept an eye on us and made sure that everything was perfect. He was that rare server that treated people with care and respect. The meal was excellent and the service was better! Seriously, the best server I’ve ever had!

Amazing! Awesome atmosphere, great service, DELICIOUS food. I loved the set up of the restaurant. There’s tvs everywhere which makes it a really cool laid back place to go with friends or on a date. I wish I remembered our waiters name. He was so polite and always made sure my boyfriend and I were doing ok. The food… First off, the fact that their burgers are 50% beef 50% pork is too good to be true. The flavor is great. Everything on their menu look good, but it was nice you could build your own burger too. And the fried come with BACONKETCHUP!!! Too damn delicious. And to top it off, my boyfriend and I finished the meal with a poptart milkshake… A+++++++

Alright… soooooooo here’s the deal: they have 50⁄50 burgers which are 50% beef 50% bacon. It’s an interesting concept. They also have an insanely long tap list. It’s a cute location with patio and indoor seating. It was late and slow so we sat inside. Inside there are lots of TVs and wall decorations, which was entertaining. You can order sizes of burgers(which I love because I have trouble finishing a 1⁄3 pounded, which is pretty standard at restaurants) so I ordered mine in the quarter pounder with onion rings for a side and a drink. It was kind of pricey, but they did have special deals and such. I just didn’t feel like bothering. I got the bbb bacon burger, which has an egg on top. I feel like the egg made it perfect. There was slightly too much bacon in the patty for my taste, but still delicious. The thick cut bacon on top rocked my world. My onion rings were amazing and I am VERY particular about onion rings, so that’s saying something. Service was nothing special. Meh.

The food is great! Check times are terrible… We got our appetizer immediately and then waited almost 40 minutes for our burgers. We were there on a Sunday night. We’d be back but probably will skip the appetizer and split a burger next time. So much food! Also… we might not show up super hungry if we have to wait that long again. What we ate was delicious! :)

I have been in SD for over three years, and I used to be a recurring customer. I came here for the hype, and a couple years ago it was on point. The service and quality has gone down. I used to have complete faith that the burger I ordered would come out perfect, but now I have had to send a burger back on several visits because they gave me the wrong size patty or didn’t put a topping I was charged for on the burger. Long story short, it isn’t what it used to be. They did away with some great menu items, and the service is lacking. If it is your first time, you might like it but you will never know how much better it used to be.

I don’t understand the hype about this place. I’ve gone there twice in the las 6 weeks(the 2nd time in hopes that my experience would be better) and it was still the same. Long wait for a table(1 hour), long wait for the food(45 minutes), and just an ok taste for the food. I do commend the wait staff for their friendliness and attentiveness. I had the peanut butter and jealousy burger, which was initially good for the 1st two bites but quickly became dry and sticky because of the peanut butter. As you can expect from peanut butter, it stuck to the roof of my mouth. To me, the peanut butter doesn’t go too well with the burger. Maybe that’s why you don’t see this type of burger anywhere else. One bright spot was the schmanimal fries which was pretty yummy I don’t see myself visiting this place anytime soon.

We came here about 2 weeks ago and I would’ve rated Slater’s 50⁄50 five stars then. It was so great! The food was amazing and the service couldn’t have been better. The only negative part was waiting in line.(It took 2 hours to get a table.) Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. My husband and I came back tonight, excited to satisfy our Slater’s craving. I had downloaded the NoWait app prior to our visit, so we got on the waiting list via the app. We waited about 15 – 20 minutes for a table after arriving. When we were seated, our server got our drink/appetizer order after about 10 minutes and then clocked out and introduced us to our new server. Neither were very attentive. Our appetizer came out after about 25 minutes. We got the Vampire Dip. I highly recommend it. It’s amazing. I ordered the Original 50⁄50 burger and my husband ordered the Hawaiian. We waited a good 40 minutes for our burgers and mine came out without an egg, which is the main reason I order that specific burger. It had been sitting in the window for a while because the plate was hot but the burger was lukewarm. I was super disappointed because I’d been craving it the last few weeks. I asked for an egg for my burger and that came out fast. Our servers barely checked on us and the food was mediocre tonight. Definitely not 5 stars like last time. Hopefully next time it’ll be better.

So I’m a big burger fan and I know a good burger when I taste one. I heard so much about how good this place is so you know I had to try it out. What really got me excited was how they add bacon into the burger meat. The first time I ate here I really wasn’t that impressed with the taste of the burger. The way you can create your own burger was great and different so that was cool. I’m used to eating a grass fed burger but I think the bacon is what threw me off. So I came again to give them another try but I think the second time was worst than the first. So I came with a date and her burger patty was about half the size of mine and it was falling apart. I really didn’t know what to think but I wasn’t impressed. I did try their Guinness milkshake and that was pretty tasty. I keep on wanting to give them another chance but at some point I’m just going to give up.

3.5 stars. This is a place where you go get a heart attack. They have plenty of burgers, beer, and fries for you to choose from, and it seems to be sort of a local legend. They have inside seating, but a nice patio space outside as well. If it’s not too hot, I’d prefer the outside as it is quite dark indoors. We started with some maple bacon wings. The wings were good — with a sweet sauce and a crispy skin, it was definitely well worth it. Problem is, I ate too many wings to properly finish my burger. In the future, it would definitely make sense for me to get one OR the other. Probably the wings, I like them better than the burgers. Onto the burger. I got one of their creations, while my friend created one to her taste. To be honest, I didn’t remember which one mine was — but it had greens and French onion straws. The patty was rather forgettable, but the bun was good. The overall experience was greasy, oily, and fatty. If you crave meat, definitely pick this place. If you are more of a light meat eater like me, just remember your limits before ordering.

I had a great experience with Slater’s at a Unilocal event few months back, so for my 22nd birthday I wanted to come here and try it out with a few close friends! We came on a Wednesday around 7:20PM and oh jolly… it was packed! We waited for an hour and a half before we were finally seated and we were ready to order. We got: –2 breakfast burrito burgers(1⁄3 lb) //Probably one of the most appetizing ones. If you’re into breakfast, this is your thing! It definitely has a good variety of things – egg, bacon, guac… can’t resist! –1 Hawaiian burger(1⁄3 lb) //I’m not a fan of spam, but this made spam look yummy! My friend said it was really good! Comes with egg, spam and pineapple. –1 old timey(1⁄3 lb) //I LOVE thick cut bacon. And it had exactly what I wanted! Very classic burger if you wanted to also try other items.($ 9.99) –1 customized 1⁄3 burger //paid $ 1 extra for the guacamole on this one! I would definitely go with a premade burger unless you had dietary restrictions… because it just seems like too much work to creatively think of your own.(But I love how you can«name» your burger!) –2 orders of sweet potato fries //My platter was a bit overfried, but the pumpkin sauce was AMAZING! I would eat this all day if I could. Spread it on my bagel. Put it in my hamburger. I salivate thinking about it!($ 5.99) –1 order of regular fries //Yummy! Pretty big wedges, hot and crispy. The sauce was good! Though I was more into my pumpkin sauce. Great price too!($ 4.99) –1 Loaded baked potato Mac n cheese //Too be honest, I was hoping for something more cheesy. But this definitely tastes like its name – literally mac n cheese that tasted like loaded baked potatoes. Good portion size to share with two people as an appetizer. –1 Nutella milkshake //Yummy! And big portion… only $ 5! –1 *free* maple bacon brownie //since its free, it didn’t come a la mode and it wasn’t a huge piece.(And where was my promised birthday candle…) I’m not a huge brownie fan, but wow… this blew me away! I love how warm, crunchy and sweet it was. I would definitely get this as a dessert if you still have room! Pros: –Great pricing! For the quantity, it was good pricing! If you solely come for a burger, its worth it. But be wary, things do add up. –Great presentation! Lighting was bad, but the beautiful brioche bun and the overflowing patty even made my mom hungry(and I had only sent her pictures)! –Yummy in my belly! Nothing too overwhelming and it was delicious on the tastebuds. I felt satisfied. Cons: –Cold burgers. I’m assuming they had to cook all the patties, weigh them out and had to wait for orders in order to prep it all with the sauce and what not. –Terrible service. Forgetful service and really slow. Server forgot to put in our orders, and so she rushed to go get it. A few minutes later, someone came again with our order. What happened? –Unorganized system. Why are they so udnerstaffed?! It’s absolutely ridiculous. There were so many empty tables but no one was being seated. Everyone had to complain… AND, what is up with the big barrier in front? If it’s your first time, you would be waiting there for a while until someone kind enough would have told you to actually go inside to be placed on the waiting list. Tips/Observations: –They have great lunch deals! Not sure how long the promotion would be, but it is around $ 13-$ 16 for a burger, fries and drink?! –If you want to try 2 different fries(there is also onion rings or fried pickles), it would be $ 9.99 for any combination! Our server definitely did not help us save money. she just made everything it’s own separate order. –I highly recommend just using one credit card. They can split it, but they mess up the total for me… just use Venmo after! Overall, not sure if I would come to this particular location anymore. I would give the one in San Marcos a try first to compare…

I really wanted to love Slater’s. I wanted to give ya’lls the 5 stars. This Slater’s location was tucked in a cute little area of Point Loma. We decided to come here for lunch since we both love a good burger. We were greeted right away at the front and were given the option to sit anywhere; so we opted for the bar. Mallory was sweet and helpful and gave us a lot of suggestions since this was our first time at Slater’s. The beau got a $ 4 beer since their happy hour is from open to 6:00 — 6:30PM M-F(correct me if I’m wrong) and I decided on the Graceland milkshake(cause my ass gave up beer for Lent lol). We also ordered an appetizer, the Bacon Mac n’ Cheese Fried Balls as Mallory suggested. The Graceland milkshake was pretty delectable. I love me some chocolate, bananas, and peanut butter ;) while the appetizer was more or less a 3⁄5. If compared to the Cheesecake Factory Mac n’ Cheese Balls, Slater’s didn’t really do it justice. On the to the burgers! I ordered the talked about PB and Jellousy Burger while the beau ordered the Breakfast Burrito Burger. We also ordered a basket of Slater Fries. First things first, the presentation of our burgers were awesome. My beau’s burger was nice and juicy, but to his disapointment, the breakfast burrito got messy. He enjoyed the flavor, but throughout his meal, he kept reaching for napkins. As for me, peanut butter girl, I will say, the first few bites were pretty good, I love the whole sweet and salty idea aka the bacon with jammmmmmm– YAS. As I continued eating, I began to notice how dry the burger was. As for someone who loves burgers, I guess I’d choose a juicy burger over a dry one any day. Loved the idea of the burger, but damn I wish there were a bit more juice. Oh and the fries, nothing special, but plain ol’ fries with some good bacon ketchup though! Haha. I’ll come back because I believe in second chances!

I was really excited to try this place out but for the first time ever I actually walked out on a restaurant. We placed our order and after about 55 minutes of waiting with our little son and no food and no updates we left. The manager was nice enough to refund us the 7 dollars for the club sodas. I’m not heartless or high maintenance and I understand places can get backed up but this was beyond the limits of reasonable. At the 1 hour mark they still hadn’t started our order so it would have been likely 80 – 90 minutes to get our order. They gave us 2 free tickets for meals I might use but I figure we will go at lunchtime and should get our food by dinner.

Slaters is a bit of a local legend in San Diego when it comes to purveyors of comfort food, and in the niche of ‘build-your-own’ food culture it hardly disappoints. Though it’s more common nowadays, the Build-Your-Own Burger section of the menu is one of the bigger lures for foodies to try this place out. While I’m more partial to the excellent and mind-numbingly joyous Chicken and Waffles(with extra syrup), I’ve borne witness to enough friends who have stacked their plates high with incredulous amounts of cheese, meat, and vegetables, repeated ad infinitum. The rest of the menu is filling to the say the least. I have a soft spot for their big milk shakes, especially the Maple Bacon variety. Any place that offers bacon in a beverage earns extra points in my book. The extensive selection leaves anyone salivating and a few peculiar offerings, like their special take on fried pickles, really help Slaters to stand out. There’s even a few healthier selections with Turkey patties or Veggie patties for the more conscious. If anything, I recommend the lunch special, which comes with your choice of burger plus fries. The atmosphere is less apt for date night and more for a rowdy night out with the guys; I’ve watched my fair share of basketball games here but if you’ve got a special someone, somewhere else might fit better for date night. It is roomy though, so groups are welcome and parking is stupidly easy. The customer service is more than attentive; the attention to detail in the menu extends to the staff.

I had always heard great things about this place but never really had the chance to go. Until a friend suggested to try something we had never tried together. So, we thought of this place and I am glad we did because this place is awesome! The time we went it was packed but we only waited about 15 minutes(not bad) Our waiter was very nice, always on top of everything despite it was busy hour. I was excited to tried their specialty bacon burgers and I loved them! My friend says they are her favorite burgers. Personally, I am between 50⁄50 and Hodad’s. Both so good! After our lunch it was perfect timing to watch the sunset go down at sunset cliffs. Really recommend!

There is a reason this place often has long waits at prime times, it is DELISH! This place is an indulgence for me because I know when I go I’m going to HAVE to get an app, a burger, and of course a shake. That isn’t even including the delish desserts they offer. I’ve had a little bit of everything here, and my only advice is not to go crazy trying new things. You know what you like, if you get something completely off the wall it probably isn’t going to be that good. For example, I like bacon as much as the next person, but I often do a «regular» all beef burger instead of the signature 50⁄50. If you’re going to try something new, maybe do one thing at a time. Crazy toppings on the burger this time, 50⁄50 next time. The biggest complaint I hear is that the 50⁄50 patty is overstated. I like to remind people, you don’t have to get it! Get a regular burger with awesome toppings. Cons to this place include the usual suspects of a great restaurant; long waits, calories galore, and outrageously huge portions. If i were to change anything about the restaurant I would allow for smaller portions of the favorites. Not being able to get less than a ½ lb burger is crazy. Allow people to try sliders of your top three selling burgers. I think it would make you that much more popular. Visit this place, you won’t be disappointed!

I had long ago bookmarked this place, after hearing about their specialty, 50⁄50 beef/bacon ground up into a burger. When I read that during the month of January they were offering a special, of buy one burger in January, then get a free burger in February, I knew I couldn’t(shouldn’t) wait any longer. I’m glad I didn’t!!! I’m rushing to get this review posted to share the news of their January special. This is your typical upscale pub(gastropub), offering any kind of burger you want, as you can tailor and design your own burger. They also offer turkey and veggie burgers, and other items, salads, etc. And, you get to select what size you want(¼ lb, 1⁄3 lb, ½, lb, etc.). I ordered ¼ lb 50/50, $ 8.95. It was delicious, of course. Next time I’d order 1⁄3 lb. My friend ordered the 1⁄3 lb Turkey Cobb burger, $ 12.45. We shared a side order of fries, $ 4.95. The buns are toasted(likely grilled instead as they had a butter/oil look on the inside). It’s served with a knife so you can cut and easily handle it. There are a variety of sauces, ketchups, etc. that are available. The fries were delicious. They are seasoned, and comes with a bacon-blend ketchup… fantastic. There are 111 beers on tap!!! I chose an American Porter, SanTan Sex Panther brewed w chocolate, $ 6.50/pint…a great complement to my burger and fries. We sat outside, under the flight path, which is part of the charm. Unfortunately, they also store their propane gas containers on the patio, which were being replaced during lunch, and between all the noise, it can be distracting. Diana provided friendly and helpful service. I’ll be back(even if I didn’t have the free burger voucher!!!)

Fire hazard + cold food = Slater’s 50⁄50 The concept of this place sounds great, but the actual delivery completely contrary. From our order to our food taking 45 mins to come out cold and wrongly prepared. Honestly you’re better off going to «IN n OUT»

Come wearing stretchy pants and with an empty stomach because portions are HUGE! Every time I come on in I nearly always design my own burger – and why not? With toppings like Sriracha Slaw, Kettle Chips, Fried Eggs, Baconnaise, and SPAM(HELLYES I SAIDSPAM!), the options are endless! They’re well known for their 50⁄50 patty(½ beef and ½ bacon) but I really think I enjoy the straight up beef the best. Super juicy and flavorful — and you can totally taste the beef even if you’re nuts like me and add gazillion toppings. French Fries and Onions rings are also a must — so deliciously clutch! As for drinks, you’ll LOVE all the beers/ales on tap. A ton of local great ones so there’s tons for you to choose from. And if you actually have room after all that, go big and get the Mint Chocolate Guinness shake. Guinness, Andes mint, chocolate — have mercy! Then promptly crawl into bed and hibernate for the next week. And the cherry on top? They are incredibly dog friendly. Your fur-children can join you on the patio and they even bring out bacon for them. My Bella is always in heaven here… 4 paws and stars!
