Smart Meters

Anything that helps the environment is a-​okay with me. Smart Meters are the wave of the future and will help prevent brown-​outs and black-​outs Too bad they will do away with all those SDG&E meter-​readers that walk all over and make all the neighborhood dogs bark like crazy!
I did a wonderful and thorough review of Smart Meters already but the Unilocal nitwits in San Francisco-​trying to take my FTR’s away-​yanked it. Well guess what-​I once was an Assistant Manager at a big retail chain and we had a SMART METER in the store. It would control the temperatures of the refrigerators and freezers throughout the day and night and adjust for usage trends. It was also hooked up to a SDG & E meter that would put us at the lowest possible usage during «closed» times and turn it up automatically during the daytime and heavy use hours.
During periods of extreme energy use, our store would get reduced rates on our electricity bills, if we agreed to voluntarily brown-​out-​if the store was closed. Now I would like Unilocal HQ to AGAIN try and pull this Smart Meter Unilocal review. Smart Meters have been around for a while for industrial users but now they are being spread out to the home market.
I think they are a great step forward in helping to reduce energy consumption and anything that helps you save money on your Gas & Electric bills is alright by me!
