My espresso machine is broken, so I called these folks. They gave me some very helpful advice-she asked me what type machine, checked for me and discovered that they do not carry parts, and told me where to go on-line to locate someone who might. Most important here was the wonderful customer service provided. My machine is a lower end($ 150) device, and I appreciated her candidness in letting me know that it would likely not be cost effective to try and have this machine repaired. I will proceed with buying a new machine, but should I ever be fortunate enough to get one of the high end machines-I will remember how nice these folks are!

I have owed a coffee cart in San Diego for over 13 yrs. Shad and his company have been my parts and service provider since the beginning. There have been a few times when I’ve had to call their emergency line for help. It’s nice to know, help is just a phone call away. I am leaving the coffee business now, and before I go, I want to give credit where credit is do. My Pasquini espresso machine went on the blink. Didn’t want to have to drive to the Pasquini store in LA, so Unilocaled espresso machine repair and came up with Solutions. Not too far, near the 805 and 5. It’s located in an industrial/commercial park, you have to drive way around a building to find it. Very minimalist — just a couple of offices and a big warehouse space with a million espresso machines, most of them commercial. Tammy and Peggy run the place, and Trevor is the technician. At first they said it would be 8 – 10 weeks before they could get to it. Then I said I’d be glad to pay extra for a rush job. They were finished the next day and I swung by to pick it up! Money talks! I had to pay the hourly rate($ 90) to get it done sooner, but never better spent. A girl gets cranky without her espresso machine. One of the best things about a visit to Solutions is Dune, the dog. He is a great big, older, beautiful golden dog who is happy to be petted and caressed, and gets a treat every time there’s a visitor. I was glad I didn’t bring Joey, though, ’cause they told me he is people-friendly but not dog-friendly. Another cool service place in my new hood!

I picked up a restaurant-quality espresso machine in a restaurant supply store. It turned out to be like owning a Ferrari — high performance, but high maintenance! After another service company wasn’t up to the task, I found Solutions. The owner Shad and his crew run a first-class operation. They are friendly, quick with follow-up, reasonably priced, and full of expert advice. When that old machine finally gave up the ghost, I bought a new machine direct through Solutions. This is an outfit that serves huge corporate accounts, yet makes a guy like with me with one home machine feel like I am their top customer.
