1st class customer service! The Starbucks associates are respectful and thoughtful, and they make an effort to exceed your expectations. They are very sweet and always make your heart feel warm. Going to this Starbucks feels like going home, and it is simply the best Starbucks in San Diego!

I’ve been coming to this location for a couple months now, I always come during my lunch and gotta say that I really like it, the staff is really nice and friendly and well they already know my name! That tells you just how often I come here. I work with toddlers, so for one hour I find the peace and quiet that I need before going back, my drinks are always good, and I’ve had a few recommendations by the staff and I always end up liking what they recommend, thou I have my favorite drinks, like the tuxedo and passion tea with pineapple, this last one I especially love it here! I’ve had it in other locations and is just not that great

Bring the coffee snob that I am, refuse to drink coffee at Starbucks. I mean, there are dozens of local coffee shops and micro-​roasters all over the area that serve much better tasting coffee beans. But if a friend insists to meet up at one, this is usually the one we pick as they have their «Reserve» selection of single origin beans that are up to par with what you’d expect at your local spots!
And this location always has plenty of seating and a large sized patio. It’s not overly crowded like the other ones and has that ambiance that Starbucks was once known for back in the day!
They’re one of the few locations with a clover machine so it’ll make your cuppa joe taste much better than any drip machine.

This is the Starbucks I visit most and I like it. The employees are very nice and friendly. They recently re-​did their outdoor area and got some new chairs and tables that are comfortable. I enjoy the outdoor area; there are big leafy trees overhead which give some shade. It’s just a pleasant corner to sit on.
(I’m not sure what would make me give a Starbucks 5 stars! Guess I gotta leave room for improvement.)

Still a «home away from home» when it comes to stopping in here for a coffee.
The staff although a few has changed still continues to be pleasant and cheerful when dealing with the customers.
Drinks and food are always spot on — comes with a smile and a thank you.
A great combination to start your day with.

I don’t normally like reviewing corporate chains but this location needs a special shout out. The staff here are better than any other Sbux I’ve been to. They are superior baristas! If you’ve been there more than twice they remember your name and make an excellent drink just how you like it every time. There is literally no one here that is ever unpleasant or less than excellent. The manager is the best in the biz. Also there is a huge semi enclosed outdoor patio where you can bring your dogs. It gets pretty chilly inside because the AC is always cranked but on those hot days you’ll revel in it. There’s a huge table inside so it’s great for singles or big groups. They also do special Kensington-​only events sometimes.

So it’s a Starbucks. They are all pretty similar but… This one has an amazing employee named Ash ;). It’s my first time to this location and she’s at the register helping me. I ask about the new sparkling tea drinks. She honestly gives me her opinion, tells me that they are 50% off right now (some promo), recommends a flavor and gives me a stamp card for summer beverage promos. It was just good customer service and her vibe was awesome she looks like Janelle Monae’s little sister with a green bow tie. I like her style. Starbucks is lucky to have her. Keep up the good work! … Oh and the passion sparkling tea drink is pretty rad too ;)

When it comes to Starbucks stores, this one comes to mind for a place to enjoy the neighborhood. It’s usually mellow with high traffic volume during rush hours. It has a good amount of seating both inside and out. The store is also kept pretty clean. I found the customer service professional and some are friendly. Also, my orders come out fairly quick, pending the line of course. As usual, prices could always be better here. Though the majority of the customer service is good, I would like to see the partners here a bit more peppy rather than just a few good ones. Also, parking is a bit rough, especially for the area. But I don’t see where Starbucks can help out there unless it added a drive thru. Overall, this Starbucks is a pretty good location to grab a drink, whether on the go or wanting to enjoy the scenery for a bit. Would recommend checking it out for anyone in the area.

I’m lucky enough to live a block away from this Starbucks. The coffee is never burnt and they’re quick with orders. The place is clean and the people are friendly. I’ve spent a lot of time here online on my computer and it’s always be comfy. What else could you want?

The usual Starbucks. This one is located on a busy corner. So for me that equals to a lot of good people watching to be had!
The service was good, nothing that really stood out. This location seemed to have a larger space inside for sitting. And a good amount of outdoor seating too.
This location was pretty clean. They had internal marketing saying that they are now in Instagram. I guess this means that I should pull out my social media skills, take a pic of my coffee tag it to Instagram and Unilocal

Nice and clean, and in the great location of Kensington. As any other Starbucks, you know what you’re getting but what makes the difference is always WHO works there. The ladies in this Starbucks were really friendly, in a good mood and service was very nice. It’s clean, open, comfy and they also have a nice outside area with tables and chairs where you can enjoy the art of people-​watching :) we came in at 8am, and although they were busy, we got our drinks and breakfast fast and found seating.

Beautiful Starbucks in a nice, safe neighborhood. I enjoy coming here a few times a week just to get out of my ‘hood in University Heights. Service is genuinely friendly and the quality of the drinks I’ve ordered so far are excellent (think Starbucks back in 1998). My only gripe. which would have made this a 5-​star review is the Google wi-​fi is UNACCEPTABLY slow. Now the first few times I figured someone was sucking up all the bandwidth the way entitled people do… downloading feature length blockbusters and the entire iTunes library and such… but I’ve come at various times and it’s always about the same. The connectivity is so slow that I usually end up tapping into my phone’s hotspot out of frustration. I talked to the counter girl about it but she really had no clue. Can management please look into this?

There’s a jerk of a barista there who is pissy because I asked her to open up on time when the door was still locked at 5:05 am, and it says they open at 5 am Sundays. (I had work to get to, and I actually have to be on time.) She tries to get «revenge» by making my drinks extra, extra hot, but little does she know I like them extra hot! They last longer and taste better. She doesn’t EVER wear a name tag or else I’d thank her personally.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks! The location is great, the baristas are professional and sweet, they always have what I want. The store is always clean. I hate hate hate that it is sooooooo cold in there! Why? Why? Why??? At first I thought it was because all Starbucks have the a/​c turned on high. But after visiting other local Starbucks … I now know that this is the only one where a polar bear must be living in the storage room or something. The patio area is perfect! I can be here for hours and forget I have to get back to reality.

This Starbucks is a great place in such a cute location. The outdoor seating is comfortable. You can sit outside and sip your coffee and enjoy the view. There’s also free wifi. Awesome!

I like this Starbucks it’s got good AC especially crucial during the summer bit bad during the winter. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood with a café across the street and a park and a library. I guess it’s bad for local business owners when corporate coffee shops open across the street from you. One other good thing is they have parking in back.

One of the few stores in SD that has the clover machine. Regular brewed coffee will never be the same after you try the reserved selection. It costs a few more cents but well, well, well worth it if you appreciate fabulous coffee
