This is one of my favorite Starbucks. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and prompt with service. The ceiling woodwork is amazing, cool old building.

I hope when you stand in line to order your venti sized sugar drink, you can see at least one of the local coffee shops looking back at you. Yes, they see you. You live here in SD, even wear your chargers gear on game day, and would rather go to a local craft brewery than to buy a 30pack of Budlite. So why not make a local decision when it comes to your coffee too? Have you been suckered with the ridiculous amount of Starbucks swag they pump down your eye-sockets? Probably made for pennies from the same people that grow their beans on leased land. Yes, I’ve heard… they treat their employees really well. Could care less about that. Good for them, but shame on you Starbucks. Shame on you for needing 3 locations in less than a mile in north park. Shame on you for being a neighborhood bully. Local shops have character you can actually feel. Please support your local businesses! P. s. Thanks for the public bathroom and water refills. At least you’ve got that going for you Starbucks. No more money from me though. You are only a watering hole and a bathroom to me now. –Cheers

This location is small and the parking is terrible. Small lot and not a lot of open street parking. Other than that– it’s just like any other Starbucks.

This location is definitely one of the friendliest and hard working teams I’ve ever seen work at such a busy Starbucks! Big Up’s to Courtney for always keeping it real!

not all starbucks are created equal even though they all look the same and serve the same stuff. What makes this one special are the employees. They remember your name, your drinks, tell you about their lives and ask about yours. This before Starbucks inc made it a mandatory thing for them to start conversations. The people who work here have been here at least 3 years(most of them) as that’s how long I’ve lived in the hood. Yeah, there are many coffee places on the street. The people who work here are what makes it my favorite.

Location is great! This outlet has a neighborhood feel and like te fact that locals rush in and out here as part if the routine. Nice to people watch whole enjoying the treats and coffees Busy busy baristas as foot traffic is hectic. 4 legged friends expected to be seen. Wish they close later in the night.

This location provides great customer service and atmosphere! My usual espresso beverage has a few customizations, and the friendly baristas here were more than happy to accommodate my needs! This location preserved it’s beautifully hand-designed wood ceiling, which for me being a visual person, is quite a plus! The seating area is spacious while having many accessible outlets to plug in your electronics. Thank you to baristas Tre and Jenn for your world-class service! I will be sure to come back to this starbucks location in case I need my coffee fix!

Came here and while a Starbucks is just a Starbucks, this place is a little messier and dirtier — doesn’t quite FEEL like a Starbucks. Get a coffee, grab a seat and ignore the gnats in the corner.

When it comes to Starbucks stores, this one comes to mind for that cozy feel, though not quite the«third place» experience. It’s never really packed though rush hours are typically hectic. It has a descent amount of seating and a good sized patio. The store is also kept pretty clean. I found the customer service professional though not all that friendly. Also, my orders usually come out a bit slower than other stores. As usual, prices could always be better here. I would like to see the customer service step up a bit since I’m paying what I do for a drink! Overall, Starbucks is more hit and miss these days. This location is ok. If you’re going for a relaxing time, then this is nice. But if you’re going for just about anything else, I’d suggest trying other coffee shops in the area.

I haven’t been to a Starbucks that I haven’t liked. This one in particular is by far my favorite. They have the best customer service and for people that are like me that appreciate personal touches– they definitely add that every time! I used to live close, but I moved to Mira Mesa and I still drive all the way to Normal Heights just to hangout and relax. If you’re in the hood you need to stop by!

This is a true neighborhood market store. We see each other every where even when the baristas are off work and out and about. This store cares… PERIOD! They are professional, playful, helpful, fun and quick without compromising quality. really going to miss Trey, LeAnn, Brandon and Justin when I move 8(…you make my day brighter even when you have to figure out what I want but I can’t say how grateful I am that you pull it together and when I say Marco you say Polo… you know exactly what drink that is and exactly how we want it made. That’s true love, and the love that you’ll only find at a neighborhood store. It’s, its… just family man.

This location is a great neighborhood spot. I stopped in before heading for brunch at the Rabbit Hole across the street for some coffee and a pumpkin scone, and more importantly, to get some work done. I had the Grande Veranda with no room which was good and one of Starbuck’s lighter coffees, if you can call it that. The coffee was pretty good, however that pumpkin scone was fantastic( )! The scone came with a delicious vanilla frosting and several strips of a pumpkin frosting which was great( ), but what was great was the inner workings of the scone. The scone was moister than moist and packed with great pumpkin and a mild spice flavor( ). This scone is a winner in my book. The young ladies who were running the counter were great. One of the girls made me a whole new brew of Veranda when she noticed it was down to its last few cups. I had to wait a bit, but I liked the consideration. This Starbucks has a lot of large tables for study groups and a good amount of seating outside. Oh Hail the Pumpkin Scone…

Obviously I love this place, I’m here on average of 5 times per week. But what can be said about«Starbucks» without sounding redundant and trite? Instead I’ll just comment on what makes this location stand out. Of course, the neighborhood. But I suppose that is an extremely biased statement. The fact that it is 2 blocks from my house probably isn’t relevant to anyone reading this, either. But that *is* the most awesome part for me. The baristas here are all super friendly and nice. They go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. On the very rare occasion where they get the order wrong, they replace it immediately, no questions asked, even if the drink you ordered is more expensive than the one you actually paid for. Also, on the(probably rare for non-klutzes unlike myself) occasion where you drop/spill your drink, not only do they not get mad at you for making a mess, they give you a whole new drink and insist upon your accepting it. It’s a great haven to escape the heat during the summer, as they will have the AC blasting, and free wi-fi for you to sit and write Unilocal reviews, or whatever you do on the internet. The outside patio is also a great place to sit on a Saturday morning, sipping a latte, eating breakfast, reading, and watching the going-ons of the neighborhood. There IS the awkward guilt of seeing Lestat’s right on the opposite corner and feeling like a sellout for opting for the corporation over the privately owned business… but here is the only place I know of where I can get a hot yummy breakfast for $ 3 and 300 calories(Reduced-fat turkey bacon & white cheddar breakfast sandwich FTW!). Parking can be a bit tricky during the rush hours(ie: morning time), especially in the pre-coffee daze that most people arrive in. Usually you can wait about 30 – 60 seconds in the lot and someone will walk out and you can take their spot. There’s also usually parking along Adam’s and around the corner on Felton where there are two green-curb spots. Just look out for the street sweeping signs, as those meter maids prey on our precaffeinated oversights for city funds. Love this location and plan to be a loyal customer for years to come.
