This is my first Unilocal review and really wanted to say something about this place. I was a resident at Stepping Stone for 6 months. It was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. They gave me an opportunity to figure myself out and discover the reasons I was seeking solace in substances. As a straight female I was asked many times why I chose Stepping Stone as my ‘rehab’. Their philosophy is to help people in need. Regardless of your sexual identity. It is a safe place for ALL. As an atheist, I was encouraged to seek out what works for me. My counselor and I had many talks about ways I could use the twelve step program for me and to incorporate what ever works. AA isn’t the only answer, for me, and they helped me find what was. They turned what could have been a frightening experience into the hardest and most joyous I’ve had. I’m coming up on 2 years sober.
