After my initial bad experience, I was contacted by someone from the studio hoping to rectify the situation. As a result of a very nice exchange, my boyfriend and I recently had a portrait session with them. Our La Jolla Cove plan was foiled due to yuck weather, so we headed for the studio. I was a bit bummed as I envisioned a bunch of ugly pull-down backgrounds. Nope! Michael(the owner) has a very cool studio with paint-chipped doors, a brick wall, a couch, and more… plus, he takes you out to an picturesque dirt alley filled with old fences, weeds(weeds that look good), and vines. He made us feel comfortable during the session, which is no easy feat since we both detest being in front of the camera. At the portrait viewing session, the pics are projected up on the wall for easy viewing and picking/choosing. We were shocked that there were more than a few that both of us actually liked. This is the kind of studio that’s an investment in your special memory… and, based on our experience, it’ll be worth it.
