What can you say about Subway that sets it apart from another? This location is clean and the staff is always friendly.

I would give this review zero stars if that was possible. The service here is terrible! I know my experience with one employee doesn’t reflect the rest but this girl really knows how to treat customers kindly(SARCASTIC). I walk in looking for a quick meal and as soon as I walk through the doors she yells across the store«do you want a sandwich or not». I looked a little confused but me being polite I smiled and said yes but can you give me a minute please(as I’m looking at the menu). She then starts smacking her mouth and rolling her eyes at me. I feel so uncomfortable that I just order the first thing I see which by the way wasn’t good at all. So then she asks me what bread I want I say jalapeño she gives me some weird shriveled up old stale bread. I order my vegetables that I want and she’s so rudely throwing things that the food is going everywhere except for on the sandwich. She bags it all up which she doesn’t do a good job at either and slams it on the counter. I then ask for 3 cookies and she’s pulling and pushing the trays so brutally the cookies are flying everywhere. As all of this is happening I’m still standing there with a friendly smile and thanking her for everything she’s helping me with(which really isn’t much). It was the worst experience I’ve ever had and will definitely never go back. I’d rather starve then eat there again. Oh and by the way her name is Ariana, so for those of you willing to eat there; whatever you do, do NOT order with her!

Typical subway. Sad they dont have $ 5footlong any more. Not sure if the register lady was falling in love with me because the way she stared at me from outside the store(i was on the phone), in line and checking out — its like she was putting a voodoo type spell on me – made me really uncomfortable. Anyways i ordered the foot long tuna — made it into a combo. I chose 3cookies and the lady only put 2 cookies in the bag. i said isnt it 3 for a dollar? she said no thats ridiculous theyre 75cents each. Im like Ok lady calm down — the one in mission valley is 3for1 $. She said oh, well that’s a diff owner. Went home and enjoyed my sandwich :)

The staff at this Subway are poorly trained. I stopped in a few weeks ago for a latte after picking up my dry-cleaning next door. The man behind the counter could not find the milk for the drink. Then, he could not figure out how to use the machine. Five minutes later, I was handed a luke warm latte. I left and went to Starbucks instead. I have been here at lunch time when the staff seemed dazed and confused. Better training is necessary! I love the Subway on 3rd and University and will be going back there in the future.

I’ve been going to this location for over a year. The staff is always welcoming. The resturant is clean. Lines, when they do form, move along quickly. This location is typical in size for the franchise. The paid lot is small with tight spaces. Its an honor system but they do patrol it.

Subway Café? Sorry, this is just too weird for me. I came in here to grab a quick sandwich and was offered. coffee? Who wants fancy coffee drinks with their footlong? I don’t. My sandwich was fine. made the same way any other Subway would. But really? I still don’t even get it.

Subway goes hipster with their latest marketing ploy… the Café. Some added coffee options, free wifi, and more inviting furniture. Definitely upgrades, but the food is still Subway so expect boring footlongs for 5 bucks, and probably a couple of weirdo sandwich artists.

Seriously the nicest, most efficient, cleanest and normal staffed Subway that I have ever been to. I hate to say it, but most of the subways seem to hire ex-crackheads to work there… but not this one! The location itself is brand new so everything is spotless, well laid out and very welcoming. So much so that you actually want to eat inside instead of ordering and running like you do at most Subways. Hopefully the rest in SD will follow suit with this new ‘café’ theme.

Was really surprised how quick this place went in. Used to be a yogurt shop before it was turned into subway café. It really nice inside they have free wifi and pastries along as their typical subs. They serve Seattle’s best coffee and its not that bad. Try it out alot better than the other subway that is across the street from American apparel for sure.

Who doesn’t love Subway. Unlike the cramped, old, lack of parking Subway in Hillcrest this location is spacious, brand new and has plenty of parking.(and is a lot closer to my house.) They just opened on Wed. Nov. 16th. Besides sandwiches… they offer coffee, espresso, croissants, muffins and more. Free WiFi along with comfy chairs. Right next to Albertson’s that has a Redbox out front. Movie, sandwiches and groceries all in one stop.

Innnterestingggg. 5 buck footlong and a coffee. It’s a cool concept, but really just stoked there’s a convenient subway to me with good parking(it’s next door to Albertson’s), for when I need a quick cheap sammich. Throw in the café-edge with wifi, coffee and other goodies and it makes for a nice little combo i think.
