Excellent artist work displayed and sold here. I have been shopping at Taboo for over a decade and found some amazing gifts for my wife. I make approximately two-three purchases a year for those special calendar days and have never been disappointed with the product. However during my last visit the person working seemed oddly judgmental towards me. As if I could not afford the piece I was inquiring about. This is 2014, who does that? I made my purchase anyways, the piece is amazing and yes it was my last. It is worth a visit to support your local artist but if you are a 40yr old man make sure you shave and put some hair gel in before you shop here.

I really can’t believe that I haven’t reviewed this before. I have been shopping here for years. I bought an Andrew Cooperman ring for one of my significant birthdays. Very fine artist-made jewelry. The latest show had some amazing work by a Korean artist — intricate and flowing earrings with seed pearls and silver and necklaces. Did I mention this is artist-made jewelry? Right. This is art to wear. If you are looking for mass-produced jewelry; go to Zales already. :)

This boutique and gallery is such a treat. The owners and staff are artists themselves and it’s so great to just hear about the stories of each piece. I recently bought a necklace from artist, Deb Stoner, and now, I wear it every day. Every piece in this boutique is special and unique. You’ll find silver, gold and other precious materials. It’s also located in a great shopping area in Mission Hills.
