Wouldn’t stand by their product quality. Defective clasp on a silver necklace and rather than fix it, wanted to charge $ 8 for a $.50 clasp.
Owner called back and offered to repair at no charge, much better customer service.

not impressed. the service was awful. a bunch of young girls just stood around and gossiped relentlessly, not stopping even once to greet me or ask me if i needed any help. i finally asked: «hey can i have some help here,» but they kept on laughing about something and treated me like i was a nuisance interrupting their juicy gossip. to make matters even worse: i bought some earrings there they claimed were made by a «a local artist» which i found out later to be utterly false. uh, the identical earrings i bought for twelve dollars there, were selling for a dollar in a small shop elsewhere. so hand made by local artists my ass, what a joke and rip off! total frauds!

We came to Tafoya & Son on our recent visit to Old Town. This store was filled with unique pottery and jewelry. We’ve heard that most of their items are made by artists throughout South America and Mexico. We thought the art was really beautiful here.
This little store has a great selection of jewelry. We found tons of pretty rings and necklaces, and we were tempted to buy everything. They even had a great sale going on which made the jewelry even more affordable. We eventually decided on a lovely black onyx ring that we knew my mom would love.
We enjoyed looking at all of the beautiful paintings. Out of all the paintings, the lighthouses were our favorite. When I asked the sales associate about the artist, she said he paints outside of the store during the day. We thought it would be nice to come back and see what the artist would be working on when he got there later that afternoon.
The customer service was friendly and helpful here. When we asked tons of questions about the paintings and jewelry, a staff member seemed pleased to help. When I was buying the ring and mentioned that I wasn’t sure of my mom’s ring size, she said they would be happy to resize it at anytime.
The cute store has some wonderful things. It’s another fun stop when shopping at Old Town!
