I dropped into the Taoist Sancturary on Friday morning, and was greeted warmly and given a brochure as well as having my questions answered fully. I returned the next day, today, for a complimentary class in Taijichuan. I was nervous about how one of my knees would tolerate the exercises, torn ACL and some bone on bone contact. After a very thorough 20 minute warm up led by Bill Helm, Director, I was introduced to Janis, an instructor who gave me a private introduction to the first movements for about 20 minutes. She was patient, clear, concise and very understanding. We then spent the rest of the hour observing Bill lead an class for intermediate/advanced students. I heartily recommend the Taoist Sanctuary!

I have been practicing at the Taoist Sanctuary for over 6 years and enjoy it very much. Chen style Tai Chi Chuan is the perfect balance of movements, extremely challenging and fun. The environment is welcoming and the people are warm. The things I like most about it are: There is always a scheduled master coming to do a seminar at the Taoist Sanctuary, there are philosophy classes to connect deeper with ones practice and whether you’re looking to get in shape or mild easy movements, this is the place. The beauty of tai chi chuan is that it can benefit anyone and is conducive to a myriad of people. Come by and check it out!
