I got burned for going here in a pinch when I should have waited for a better time from my usual place. Unpolished look. My five minute haircut in bootcamp looked better. He pushed my hairline back and it’s not like I have short hair so I might have to cut all my hair. I’m in the Navy so it probably tipped the scale into «faddish». Expensive lesson

I went to see Ricky Bobby yesterday… AMAZING!!! I let him do a freestyle design on the side of my head and it was FAR better than I could’ve created!
I felt like I wasn’t allowed to go to a Barber, being a girl and all, and I called in and asked… They said, «Yes! Of course you can come in!»
The hardest part about being there was, keeping my head from not bobbing to the hip hop that was playing. It was all so good! I had to keep moving! But i didn’t… I got through the design and I’m in LOVE with it!

New to the city I found Darren at a local barbershop he has sinced moved to Cutt n Edge. I followed him cause he fades me up the way I like it. I’m an Asian dude, Asian hair, black barber, all good. He can cut all types. I like the location chill spot, chill barbers. Not one of those hood shops real cool spot to get cut.

On point!
I have had nothing but issues with getting my haircut since I moved to San Diego just under three years ago. It’s always something: the barbers don’t listen/​understand, don’t have the skills, or they take far too long, no concept of time… mostly I just don’t get the haircut that I want and/​or without the above mentioned issues. On my few visit’s to this Barber shop I have been thoroughly impressed! Darren listens, understands, has the skills, time management, know’s what he is doing and gives me a good haircut!! Not only that he is a nice guy and takes pride in his work. Offered to cut my hair, wet it/​style how I usually wear it, then cut it again just to get it just how I like it!!! Never had THAT before! I’ve seen one other barber in action and he too has skills with some clippers! I would recommend going here to get your hair sorted out!

Just left Cutt’n Edge-​the barber was very meticulous on my cut. I appreciate that halfway into the cut he made sure it is what I wanted since I didn’t explain it too well to begin with. Will definitely be back in 2 weeks. Thank you Ricky.

The cut was great, it’s a little pricey for a male’s haircut but I personally thought it was worth every penny. The barbers were very amusing and funny, overall it was a great atmosphere. Only thing I would probably wish for this place is more barbers! Only two seats just isn’t enough! Last but not least a bench for waiting customers to sit would be cool, but hey I guess when you’re getting a cut this fresh you just can’t have it all.

I came here about 2 weeks ago on a hot day. I had been running around doing errands and showed up at the barbershop all sweaty. Tony and Ricky noticed how uncomfortable I looked, turned up the fan for me, and gave me a glass of water. That’s great customer hospitality! Furthermore, I was in a hurry that day and Tony, who usually cuts my hair, was busy with another customer. I had to be on my way to work in 30 mins. Ricky cut me quick and neat the way I liked it in 20 mins. I got to work with a fresh cut and I was on time. Thanks again, I’ll see you tomorrow.

Not only is Tony talented but he is an amazing business owner! He is always asking his customers if they need anything and going over and above for them. He also plays music or movies if you have kids to make them more relaxed. I have followed him for years & I’m glad he finally got his own shop. He knows his stuff i come in with pictures and they look dead on. I love ya Tony keep up the good work!

Shoutout to Saucy Tony @ Cuttn Edge. If you need a professional business haircut to designs or just something clean for the weekend he will most definitely give you exactly what you’re looking for.
