My friends and I stopped at this bar on July 12… during Comic-Con and enjoyed the service. I had a very nice white wine recommended by Matt, and ordered the meat and cheese board and it was tasty. Thanks for excellent service guys! I’ll be back

Thirty minutes for a drink and meat/cheese platter. Nothing is cooked — HOW did it take thirty minutes? My waitress didn’t even check on me for twenty minutes. For such a lovely establishment with a menu that matches, the service falls very short of the expectations.

Nice place, pretty damn good burgers for a hotel bar too. Tried the meat and cheese plate that was good for apps with beer and then tried the burgers, nicely done, juicy with great buns. The tater tots were ok, not great. Overall a good lobby bar with above average service.

This is one of several bars in the San Diego Manchester Hyatt, and somewhere we visited a number times during our stay, partially because of convenience but also because of the great service we experienced. So let’s break it down! Service: Every time we visited we had great service. I have to give a special shout out to Jamie, she was on the evening shifts and just awesome every time, and as well as providing us super prompt service with both food and drinks, even took the time to get to know us. Atmosphere: Well it’s in the Manchester Hyatt lobby, so you know what to expect, huge area with high ceilings and very pleasantly decorated surroundings. It was very relaxing here even when it was busy, tables are spaced out enough you never feel like you are intruding on others(and vice-versa). Food/Drink: Food was okay but nothing special. Favorite item was the Fish Taco’s, very good for bar food. Burgers were just okay — we tried the Angus burger and the Lamb Burger. Drinks were good, but be aware you can get a LOT cheaper if you go to the gas-lamp district for happy hour, but once that’s done and you’ve had enough of roaming the streets this bar is a good option if you’re staying in the hotel and want somewhere to chill out at for a while before heading to bed. Overall: An easy 4⁄5. If I rated on service alone, it would be a 5, I knock off one star only for the limited and uninteresting food choices. If you’re staying in the Hyatt, try it!

Amazing bartenders! Justin and Matt S. were great and so accommodating to my to my picky taste. Morgan is also awesome and super friendly! She made our nigh a delight. Cocktails are a bit pricey but delish. Definitely will return!
Intended to check out Top of the Hyatt but it doesn’t open until 3pm so we grabbed a drink at this spacious bar instead. The name truly represents the bar — it’s grand and located at the lobby. Comfortable seats, non pushy and attentive service. Great spot to just relax and chill, less a view.

Large, open area with high ceilings and ornate surroundings. Plush furniture and comfortable living room style area with large television and full service bar. Sit and watch the evening news and have your congnac and newspaper brought to you. After breakfast down the hall at Lael’s, you can walk to the Grand Lobby Bar and have some after breakfast coffee while chatting with friends or other guests and watch the news or whatever sporting programme is on. I really enjoyed sitting here. Hardly ordered anything. I just sat. Maybe read some of the paper. Had a bottle of water. The bar area is also very nice and open. Friendly staff and attentive to your needs and your drink level. Take a table and bring some Sudoku or something. Even if you’re not a guests, I would still recommend coming by for a drink.
