As international student couple, we had so much time spending to find a place to live. We finally was really affordable according to other accomodation options. Tina has made our reservation. We moved in and met her personally. She is really kind and welcoming. We are so glad we made this choice.

Well my friends. If you need to be taken care of and need to feel safe and you are on a budget but love to walk to Embarcadero, GasLamp, and Nordstrom’s and Ralph’s … Then check in to the Inn. Staff– caring. No none sense management and quick response made this Single Mother feel comfortable in a brand new town. There are some Lifers here 11 – 20 years. They love it and so do I. Have appreciation. This place will work for you if you let it until you decide to move on. Thank You Island Inn, Chris, Tina, Caryle, and Cesar and the rest of the staff for being awesome and making the place feel like home.

STAYHERE! I’ve always been a firm believer that the point of visiting a city is NOT staying in your accommodations and actually stepping outside of those four walls… to visit aforementioned city. SO — if you are also a firm believer in this simple philosophy — you should stay here.(Also, you should message me so we can travel to exotic locations together and save some mad cashola.) It’s simple and no frills. You get what you pay for… which gives you more $$$ to play for! Besides the obvious bed and bathroom — there’s also a mini fridge, microwave, and the option for underground parking — for a steal. I stayed at these properties 3 separate times — twice on business at J Street Inn and once @ Island Inn while permanently relocating from out of state. Island is my favorite. Not sure what the actual walkable score is but it should be 120%. That was probably my favorite part — the accessibility and convenience to everything!(most importantly: Ralph’s) The staff is responsive and charming :) Overall a +++ experience. Just tread with caution — this is not for the fancy pants crew but it’s perfect for the frugalista/o with priorities.
