I make a point of visiting scrapbooking stores in whatever city I am visiting. The Stamp Addict came up in a google search, so off I headed to check this place out. The first thing I noticed was how warmly I was greeted by the staff member who asked what I was looking for and what types of things I am involved with. The store isn’t large, but it’s filled with great product, which fills the walls, side tables, and racks. The owner did say they had hundreds of stickers. I’m not entirely sure that’s correct based on what I saw. However, they did have stickers that I have never seen elsewhere, so that was a huge plus. What they do have in abundance are stamps, hence the name. I highly enjoyed just strolling thru the store, making two full circles around. I found some interesting cardstock and stickers to purchase. I also liked the fact that I was given a traveler’s discount which was very kind of the owner to give. I’m glad I found this place and probably will be making a return visit when next I am back in San Diego.

I’m going to give this place 3 stars. Pros of this store were the amount of scrapbooking items. Their stamp collection was decent and sufficed my needs. However, their ink selection was less than desirable.

The best part of the store is its staff. Wonderful, and talented people who welcome you warmly. The next best part of the store is the fresh ideas the designers come up with for their classes. I have a lot of supplies, I like that with a little ingenuity I can use what I have in new ways. This store has new, but even better, they show you what you can do with what you already have.

Extremely friendly staff! I needed a specific stamp for my upcoming wedding and while they have a great selection within my theme, they didnt have the one stamp I have my heart set on(although after seeing the assortment I may mix 2 or 3) however they offered to order it and took all my information to contact me when it arrived. Great customer service and very helpful, I will be back!

They have supplies for card making, scrapbooking, and arts and crafts. They used to carry more, but now they just carry enough to please every crafter. They keep it stocked with the latests pens, stamps, assorted colors in stamp pads, paper punches, craft books, they offer classes by instructors that are very inexpensive $ 25.00 and the staff is friendly. They often have sales and discounts. They are not a huge store, but it is fun to look around and you could easily spend more than an hour looking at things.

–Not a huge selection of rubber stamps, had more scrapbook stuff. –Decent selection of stamping tools and inks, more than Michaels. –The décor of the store is very plain, not very creative, mostly old-fashioned style. –Friendly employee.

Great store and great selection. Very up to date with manufacturers, supplies, and techniques –which is exactly what you would want from a true rubber stamp store.

This store has a knowledgeable staff. The owner loves what she does and to me that makes all the difference in the world. The selection of stamps is wonderful… easy to find what you are looking for and if you don’t see it right away… do no hesitate to ask. Embossing powders galore! I have begun using embossing on my scrapbook pages now too. Large selection of other stamp related and scrap related goodies. I plan on coming back for more. Their class selection is to die for!

I originally found this place from the Hero Arts Website. They listed them as one of their retailers. The store isnt too far from where I live, so rather than purchasing stamps online and paying for shipping, then waiting for them to arrive, I thought I’d check out the store. I walked in was immediatly overwhelmed with how many stamps they had in stock. They had stamps in every which direction you looked as well as paper punches, emblishments, stamp pads, scrabook papers, and more. Their entire stock of stamps isn’t as hip & trendy as alot of the newer stamp companies, but they are getting more and more newer stamps in stock with really cute images. I found most of the stamps I came in for, and I even found a few extras I decided I wanted to get, that weren’t in stock. They easily special ordered the stamps I wanted and gave me a call a week later when they came in. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowlegeable about all of their stamps and supplies.

They do have a LOT of stamps, but I don’t think their selection has very modern/trendy/cute/fresh styles. What you would find at Paper Source you would not find at this place. However that is not to say it is a bad thing. Just something to know if you’re looking for a particular style of stamp. They do have a lot of stamping tools and supplies though. Their embossing powders are cheaper than other places(they also sell their own). Their stamp pads are more expensive and they do not carry regular-size Color Box’s(what?) – only Cat Eyes and other brands. They do have a lot of classes going on throughout the month though. So for those learning, this would be a great place to check out!
