I’ve been dropping off packages at UPS stores all over San Diego and Chula Vista for a couple years now. My job requires me to do this at least twice a month. It’s always been a simple process. I drop off the package, get a receipt for the drop off and am on my way. Today I went to a UPS store I had never been to before and was charged a handling fee. I asked why the fee was being charged. Was told its just the rules. Why don’t I encounter these rules elsewhere? The response was that they don’t know but everyone should be. So after more than 30 separate visits to UPS, I am just now encountering this fee? I’ll go ahead and state the obvious. That’s bull. What is more likely is that this is a 3rd party UPS and they’re using an adjustable SKU to charge their cram fee. I couldn’t reasonably get to another UPS in time to ship this package so I paid the fee. But my resentment over that is high enough to write this review. And btw: I intentionally waited a decent amount of time before posting this to make sure nobody would mess with my package. So don’t waste your time guys.

Extra fees due to the proximity to the convention center. The staff was extremely polite and offered to cut the handling fee in half. And it’s on the third floor of the hotel if you’re having trouble finding it! Thank you for your help Daniel, keep up the good work.

Paul was extremely helpful. We were here 2 days on our trip and had to send some things back East. He was very nice & patient. A+ service.

We visited this UPS store in the Hilton several times throughout the San Diego Comic Con even though we were non guests(we were in a much classier joint near the Mexico/US border. Right.). Time and time again, we encountered absolutely incredible service. On the first visit one of the employees(sorry I didnt catch the name) helped us obtain some poster tubes which we desperately needed and quickly checked us out. Friendly no-nonsense service. On the 2nd visit we needed more tubes, which one of the employees Jackie happily asked a colleague to bring up from downstairs. I then asked about obtaining some kraft paper because anyone who knows anything about art prints knows they need some good kraft paper to roll them up in. Jackie pulled out a giant roll of the stuff I needed and for the next 10 minutes proceeded to measure out and cut out several pieces of this paper to fit the tubes that were being brought up for me, all free of charge. Once the tubes arrived we were on our way to more geek wonderment. 3rd visit a nice gentleman named Kyle quickly provided us with yet another tube(obviously we came completely unprepared for this trip). Finally on the last day of the convention we stopped in yet again(on a Sunday!) to mail off several of our pickups. Jackie once again along with another employee helped us securely pack and ship the items home and I’m happy to report they arrived this afternoon safe and sound. Restored my faith in humanity all around. Happy to be the first review and to give them all 5 stars. Jackie for president!
