Tiffany Patton from Thomas Realtors is a very experienced property manager. If you’re looking for one, go no further. I’ve worked with many, believe me.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Thomas Realtors to friends, family and Unilocal readers. After three years of renting from them, I have no complaints, only praise.

In my opinion, Thomas Realtors are the worst property management company I have ever encountered.
We lived in a property managed by Thomas Realtors, and a major plumbing renovation was initiated. The owner of the company, Travis, contacted us and basically told us that the owner of the building had contracted plumbers to do 2 – 3 days of work in our unit, but he would be out of town during the whole ordeal and we would need to contact the plumbers ourselves to make the arrangements! This complete mis-​management [or utter lack of management] of a major renovation led to an extended two-​week fiasco in which our home was nearly uninhabitable and all of our possessions were covered in dry-​wall dust including an entire pantry full of ruined food, not to mention that our downstairs plumbing was left inoperable [washer & dryer disconnected, toilet in back yard]. When we dared to ask for some kind of compensation for the two weeks worth of being forced to eat out at restaurants, dry-​cleaning expenses for dust-​covered clothing and bedding, professional cleaning of electronic devices, ruined food and the general discomfort and inconvenience we had to endure, Thomas Realtors told us [and I am paraphrasing here] that if we didn’t like it, we could go ahead and break our lease and move out!
This was the most heinous of their inept management skills, but our entire experience with them was filled with a multitude of poor responsiveness to our needs as tenants; when we called to complain that the weeds in the walkway were now above our heads, the reply was that the landscaper was some guy the owner hired and they didn’t know anything about it. Completely unacceptable! A property management company’s responsibility is to manage the property to the satisfaction of both the owner and the tenants; all Thomas Realtors managed to do was pass the buck.
If you are a tenant searching for an apartment or house to rent, avoid it at all costs if Thomas Realtors is the property manager. If you are a property owner looking for a management company, there are undoubtedly a hundred superior companies in San Diego that are more competent and will represent you and your property with professionalism and consideration for your tenants.

I have been renting from Thomas Realtors for years. They are the best property managers around. Always understanding, always looking out for you and your comfort. Tiffany and Juli have always found places that exactly fit my needs. I recommend everyone I know looking for an apartment to seek there rentals and know you will be satisfied! !!

Travis is the best Landlord ever! We have been at his property for 7 going on 8 years and i am always impressed.

Last year I was searching for the perfect place that felt like home and in a good area to feel safe when I get home late at night. I came across a condo on craigslist that Thomas realtors were the rep for. I contacted them and spoke with Julie. Let me tell you, she is amazing at her job and deserves more recognition than this review. For the past year any silly problems, questions, concerns I have had; she had taken care of me minutes after contacting her! Not only always getting the job or situation fixed she always has the best attitude. Once I get my own place again she is the reason I will go through them for renting out any place they represent. Also the people they hire to fix a/​c, light fixtures are all amazing and genuine. It was a good unforgettable experience working with Thomas realtors!

My husband and I moved to San Diego from out of town and have owned our own home for years. Renting again was not a task that I relished. We had worked with many property managers in northern California and we knew that there can be some real problems with property managers on both the owners’ and the renters’ sides. We prepared for the worst. Fortunately, however, we answered an ad from Thomas Realtors for a charming house that ended up being the house we chose over many others that I looked at, not only because the house fit our needs, but also when I met Tiffany, I felt comfortable renting from Thomas. Throughout the terms of our lease, Tiffany and Thomas was always there, even when the water heater quit working on a weekend. They always answered our call regardless of when we called. In addition, move-​in and move-​out was easy. I never rate anyone 5 stars and do so without hesitation for Thomas Realtors. They are awesome.

I’m still living in the apartment I rented through them and Craig has continued to be an awesome person. the apartment is fantastic, and any maintenance I need I just need to call.

I am writing a review as a property owner and couldn’t be happier with my start with Thomas Realtors. I know for a fact the tenants are happy as well. They manage two properties for me in San Diogo. Travis and Juli have been attentive to all details and delivered everything they promised.
I rest easy in New York knowing the properties and tenants are in great hands. I interviewed a number of agencies and Thomas has proved the best. I would recommend them highly to any other property owner looking for a management company and to tenants to rent a property managed by them.

Thomas Realtors is the best. I rented from them for five years and never had to wait at all no matter what needed to be done. They made sure that all my needs were met and helped me a great deal with the move in arrangements and even when I moved out they were helpful in making sure that they personally walked through with me to make sure that anything the landlord might want to deduct was brought to my attention so that I could fix it. I received my full deposit back quickly and they even went out of the way to let me know when other apartments became available while I was looking for a new location. My only complaint would be that I wasn’t able to find one in one of their managed complexes. I hated to lose them as my property manager. They are the finest I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They are honest, professional and very kind and compassionate. Thank you Thomas Realtors for a great five years.

I have been renting from Thomas Realtors for almost 3 years. They have been the best landlords I have ever had. Any time there is any kind of problem they are very responsive to fix the issue. Ed Patton has always been very helpful to me.

We rented our first apartment in San Diego from Thomas Realtors, Tiffany was our contact person. She was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. I had originally called about a different property which turned out to not fit our needs but she made some suggestions for other properties we might like. She also made an effort to get me more detailed info and let my friend go and take photos, since we were moving from out of town.
When we decided to sign the lease we were required to post an additional deposit, since we could not provide income verification (we were moving from another state and did not have jobs lined up.) I was a little worried that we would have trouble getting the deposit back, but once we sent in pay stubs from our jobs we got the extra deposit back right away, no hassles.
We did have some maintenance issues and the quality of the building itself was less than stellar, which is why I deducted 1 star. But can you really blame the management company if the owner refuses to invest in fixing it up? When we had to call about maintenance issues, they responded promptly (for the most part) and did their best to fix everything.
When we moved out, Tiffany said we would have to pay to get the carpets cleaned but she had a guy that would do it for cheap, and the guy was there when she was doing the inspection. She also told me on the move out exactly what I would be charged for a few small items (light bulbs, oven pans) and when we got our deposit back she included the Home Depot receipt for the items (we were not upcharged some outrageous amount.)
In general I felt they were very responsive, Tiffany was super nice, but most importantly they were honest and did not try to rip us off. I have had some horrible landlord experiences (really unbelievable) and Thomas Realtors is the best thus far.
