Came in for the first time and had messed up gel acrylics & left the place looking like I got a brand new set. Very impressed! Will definitely be going back again.($ 25 for repair + regular nail polish + coffin nail shape)

Bought two Groupons for myself and the husband and I can sum up our experience as this: don’t buy the Groupon and don’t go here for massages. The massages were unprofessional. We never signed any paperwork. The masseuses for both of us never asked us about our needs or wants(e.g. pressure), past injuries, etc. I had requested the Swedish massage and my husband asked for the deep tissue. We were both disappointed. I have never had to ask for someone to be firmer with pressure and after asking twice and not getting it, I figured it wasn’t going to happen and stopped asking. Mostly my massage felt like someone rubbing lotion on me to the point that her hands were blazing hot(like little oven mitts). She repeated the same motions over and over and over again and never seemed to know what she was doing. In fact, she would rub one half of my body completely differently than the other half. She randomly rubbed me down with hot towels only to then lube me back up with lotion… and there was never ENOUGH lotion. I’ve had lots of good massages in my day, a few mediocre ones but today I had a bad one– I literally thought about stopping it 15 minutes in and just walking out. Also, like other people noted, the walls are paper thin. It was like getting a crappy massage in the back room of a nightclub. You could hear EVERY conversation on the other side of the wall. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place.

READTHISBEFOREGOING… went in for a mani/pedi. I’ve been to this location before and had a good experience, plus it’s really close to my house, so I went in again. It’s very clean and Cindy, at the front desk, is always very welcoming. I was set up right away with Genie(or Jeanie — not sure how it’s spelled). It was pretty busy as usual so she was planning on doing both. She started out with the pedicure. The seats are great… the foot massage was not a massage at all, it was like I was just putting lotion on but whatever the pedicure was fine… she moved on to the gel manicure. This is where everything got irritating… the manicure itself was so bad. I felt her tugging at my cuticles, she was rushing while not paying attention. There should be something done about work ethic because she kept getting up to eat, yes, during my manicure. The first coat(clear) was put on very minimally, the coat didn’t cover my entire nail on each finger. Then she put on a couple layers of the gel color and and she put it on all over my skin around my nails, I’ve had a 4 year old do a better job putting on nail polish than her. This made her use her nails to get the excess nail polish off and she kept having to re-paint because her nails would scrape mine. She also would push my hand into the UV light so that at least one of my nails would bump the machine every time. I could tell she knew it was a bad job because she kept clicking tongue and shaking her head and what not. To my surprise, she started putting the top clear coat on and then asked me if I liked it. I showed her what I thought should be fixed and she started putting more gel color on. Layer after layer, I was getting more irritated. Then she used clippers and a filer to try to shape the polish. At this point it was 1 hour and 45 mins into my appointment and because of this, because I have a baby and actually had an chance to get some me time, because I was planning on heading up to LA in 15 mins, I was so upset! She never apologized. She actually had the audacity to say that gel doesnt work good on my nails because they’re so short. My nails have always been pretty much the same length and no one has ever had problems before… She saw that I was getting more upset so she started to take off the gel as if she was going to start over. Still no apology. I stood up and went to the front desk because of my concerns. If it wasn’t for Cindy, I would have blown up. She immediately went into customer service recovery mode and tried to calm me down and told me that I didn’t have to worry, that I wouldn’t have to pay for the manicure, that I could come back and someone would fix it for free. 2 days later, I was set up with Mary. She re-did the manicure and gel color perfectly without any issues. I could tell she knew Genie did a bad job. She was there by the way, and still, no apology. just dirty looks and talking about me in Vietnamese. I do understand some of the language and others employees stared whenever she said anything. Needless to say, I got a proper manicure without the help of Genie. I would never do a walk-in here. Definitely make an appointment. Mary was good and Cindy handled the situation perfectly but because of this experience, I won’t be coming back. The picture says it all…

Update: my injured nail is now lifting away from the nail bed and I have blood spots between my nail and nail bed. Stay away if you’re planning a manicure, they are probably just as rough and careless with any other nail service.

I have been here a few times for mani/pedi and they do a nice job. I usually make an appointment to ensure I’m not waiting around, with the appointment they get you right in. I bought the groupon for the massage and have heard good things as well so looking forward to using the voucher.

Amazing experience! Made a same day appointment and didn’t have to wait. Came in with messed up nails from a salon who’s name I won’t mention. Christina fixed me up beautifully!

Bought a groupon for a one hour therapeutic or deep tissue massage, for $ 40. Easy to book, but downhill once I got to the salon. The therapist, Tina, did not ask me anything about my wants, needs, medical conditions, or anything, including whether I wanted therapeutic or deep tissue. It started out ok, she checked in with me a couple times. But as she went on, she got a bit aggressive & rubbed the sheets, which were scratchy, on me once she was done with an area. Additionally, every so often, she would go over to the counter, shake the ice in her cup, then crunch a few in her mouth. I would’ve given this 3 stars, but today, my skin is super sensitive & feels bruised, which is the exact opposite of how I should feel the day after a massage! Huge disappointment

Gel polish chipped off within 7 hours. Gina did my nails and injured my cuticle. I called them and asked for a fix. The new person just put one more coat on top of my existing polish. I’m writing this review because that last layer has started peeling off as I type. Needless to say that I’m not happy with the service. Don’t waste your money.

True story. I booked a massage on Saturday for the next day at noon. I showed up 15 minutes early. Freshly showered and minty breath. I’m a massage therapist, so I totally understand how to consider my therapist. I showed up with a groupon code, and offered to pay them directly, because we all know how much Groupon screws small businesses. When the massage therapist came out to greet me, she looked at the discounted rate and refused to honor the price. Everyone(including the receptionist) disappeared and left me standing there until the time my massage started, apparently to call the owner. At some point I called them from the front desk with my cell. They sent a completely different person up to tell me there were no massage therapists working that day. I informed her I had just met the therapist. Then the receptionist came up and said the therapist was indeed there, but unable to help me as she was booked. All that, and here’s why: Groupon just sold their billionth deal and temporarily marked prices down. And this place won’t honor it. Even after I was told over the phone that they would. Phenomenal. I’d be irritated if I was a stressed out patron needing a massage. But as a fellow practitioner who just watched someone bait and switch me, having massive pain and just wanting some relief, doing the math and realizing I was just bumped off the schedule for an $ 8 discount(which would have been made up by my TIP,) and structuring my PRACTICE around one fricking hour of self-care; rest assured. I’m making it my mission to steer people away from this nonsense. Need a good massage? Message ME.

I went to get a massage today and I was not happy with my experience. The lady that did my massage was very inexperience. There are parts of my body she put oil on and parts she didn’t. During the massage she focus on certain area that I didn’t request for a very long time. There are many times she put pressure near my throat. Also, she flicks the dirt of her finger nails many time during the massage to get the dirt out. Wash very disgusting. After my massage I contacted the manager But she didn’t do anything about it. Don’t go here. Find somewhere better that worth your time and money.

I’ll start by saying the woman at the front desk was very nice. I had an appt and they even got me right in a bit early when I showed up. I had a 90 minute massage. I was first caught off guard by something on the girls hand, maybe a callous. Then I got used to the little scratch feeling. She told me I had knots in my shoulders so I wasn’t surprised that she spent extra time on them. The room was calming, other than the paper thin walls. I could hear every word the man at the eye glass place next door said. He talked for at least 2⁄3 of my massage. Fast forward 12 hours, my shoulders hurt so bad. Sore to move my arms or even touch my shoulders. The pedicure was so so. The manicure was as well. I left with polish still around my fingernails. A simple wipe with polish remover would have been nice. I highly doubt I will be back.

To be honest I question coming here every time because it’s $ 27 for a French tip pedicure(which is pricier than other places) but I’m always satisfied and it’s conveniently located, so take my money! Regular manicures are $ 12, but I personally only come for pedicures here. I always wish that they would do pedicures without having to sit on the comfy massage chairs that I never take advantage of, but that’s just me being cheap. I also don’t like how they sometimes hand you a laminated sheet of «specials» which in reality are tricks and add-ons to make you spend more but I simply let them keep it in hand and say that I only want a «regular» pedicure. Like some other places, they also offer stamp cards for regulars which I always forget about, so here’s my reminder. Come here for your hair done, nails done, everything diiiid.

I called three weeks in advance to see if they can accommodate four people at the same time before purchasing the facial and one hour massage on Groupon. It’s my friend’s bachelorette weekend and we wanted to start it off with facials and massages. I made reservations like three weeks in advance because the said they could accommodate four people! One of my friend flew in from FLORIDA and the rest of us requested time off early for our appointment. Appointment is at 2:00pm and they decide to call me at 12:57 pm the same day, to tell me they don’t have enough masseurs. The masseurs were no call and no show. They tried calling and there’s no response. They can only take two people at two and another one at 5 and 6pm! Hello! We already had our day planned out and the facial and massage is one hour and forty five minutes! I told the receptionist(I think) I will have to tell my friends the situation and call her back. I called her back at 1:06 pm, told her we can’t do anything that late and we need to have it all done it the same time. She told us, she will try and see what she can do and call us back. Then we just continued eating our lunch and looked for a back up plan. 1:21 pm, she called us back and said they found a masseur and they can accommodate us now. I told her, we’re going to be a little late now because we’re eating. I thought everything was set again, we finished eating and left. 2:19 pm, they called and asked where we were and I told them we’re on our way but there’s traffic. 2:26 pm, I called them back to let them know that we’re going to be late because we were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on Miramar Road. 2:29 pm, a different person called me and told me our facial will be only 30 minutes now instead of 45 minutes because we’re late. They have other people that have appointments scheduled. WHOEVERCALLEDMETHISLASTTIMEWASRUDEANDTRIEDTOBLAMEITONUS. LIKEITWASOURFAULT! First of all, I paid for a 45 minutes facial and hour massage. Second of all, this happened because your salon had unprofessional masseurs that didn’t show up and you tried to change our appointments last minute! I’m not going to sit there and wait for you to figure what you need to do for us. I did my end and your salon didn’t come through on your end! I would give this place a zero star or negative star if I can. This is my first review on Unilocal because this is the first place that I’ve had this kind of horrible experience with!
