Terrible Cleaning. I brought in over 20 items, slacks, jackets & plenty of dress shirts. The price was great for a dry cleaners. The dry cleaning was horrific because none of the articles of clothing were taken care of correctly. I do not recommend this place!

People tend to only write reviews for good or bad service but then you dont see what the average Joe experiences. I was searching Unilocal for a dry clean place nearby and every place had all the same bad reviews so I just picked this one. The price was reasonable, the service was normal, there was nothing exciting or notable but also nothing bad to point out. Expect a run of the mill dry cleaner. Actually turn around time was relatively quick, next day, end of the day if you drop off before a certain time(basically 1 – 2 day service).

I called this place twice to ask if they dry cleaned blankets, they gave me a price quote of $ 14 for a queen size. When I drove all the way there(15 min away), the ladies at the counter said they don’t dry clean blankets. Rude much? Thanks for wasting my gas.

I truly reserve giving one star reviews for exceptionally bad service. I have gone to this cleaner twice. Both times I was incredibly disappointed when I got my clothes back. Both times there were wrinkles in the shirts and I questioned whether they were cleaned at all. My clothes should look pressed when I get them back, not just no longer stinky. The crease on all of the pants were off, noticeably. One pair of pants developed a small hole exactly on the new crease. This really upset me. One of my suit jackets had some sweets spilled on it, I noted it when I dropped it off, after supposedly dry cleaning it, stickiness still there. To make matters worse, aside from the horrible quality of the work, the gentlemen working behind the counter on my second visit told me they could not locate my ticket. He just simply pointed to their rotating stand under«T» and said«sorry no ticket». I had to convince him that I had just dropped my clothes off the day before and they most definitely had my clothes. He had to go get the employee that checked my clothes in before they believed me. SERIOUSLY! All of this just to get my clothes back with wrinkles, stains and crooked creases. There are plenty of cleaners in SD that will do a much better job for the same price. I would say you get what you pay for here, but you don’t. There is simply no excuse for such poor quality work. I’m sure if you have simple laundry and don’t really care about how your clothes look this place would be quick and cheap. But not for me. Again, I give very few negative reviews on Unilocal; and when I do take the time it is for good cause.

I’ve been here twice and so far, I am pleased. If you bring in more than 10 items, you get a special rate, which I LOVE as i have a ton of dry cleaning. I haven’t dropped off anything expensive yet as I want to bring other stuff as a tester first. Cash Only, be prepared.

I dropped off two nice suits Monday afternoon and they were ready the next day at 4pm! They did a good job cleaning my suits and the store was clean and the workers were polite. I will use University Cleaners again.

This is where I get my laundry done on most of my button-up shirts. This place is cheap, which is why they get my daily business. Occasionally, it seems like they don’t fully wash the shirts; instead just pressing them to make them look cleaned. The buttons on several of my shirts are becoming cracked. This irks me, but again, they are cheap in price and the shirts I bring here were all bought at really good deals. I don’t intend to keep my clothes forever so I figure if I’m saving $ 8 — $ 15 a trip here, then I’ll just buy new shirts eventually with the saved money. For the shirts of higher quality or that I just care more about, I bring them elsewhere.

I went out recently with a hottie who talked with her hands. She used them to say more than she did like flipping off some dude who almost ran us over. Well, anyway her hands had lives of their own and somehow found a way to spill Sangria all over me. The stains wouldn’t wash off my best shirt and I had a job interview in days. So what do I do? I took them in for cleaning. I found this little branch of what appears to be a local chain of garment cleaners. The girl behind the counter had a cute accent, which I’ve heard before from Thai people, only she’s Cambodian. Well, without asking for rush service, she said my shirt would be ready in a day. Sure enough, I went back and picked up my order. The service and quality of work get high marks. The price is average at about $ 2.50 for dry cleaning. Not bad and from what I saw, all the buttons were still intact. Pluses: — Average prices, I’ve heard of $ 1.50 dry cleaning in El Cajon — Good quality spot removal — Fast service — Friendly Minuses: — Parking is hard to come by Overall, a decent neighborhood dry cleaner. Note, they advertise $ 1.00 laundry service on the storefront.
