V Workshop Salon

V Workshop is so fabulous. The atmosphere is fun, relaxing and I always leave feeling refreshed and renewed. I drive down from Newport Beach every few weeks for an appointment because Amanda is the only person who can turn what I want for my hair into a reality. She is a serious genius when it comes to color and always gives me great suggestions that are always more holistic so they compliment my skin tone/​eyes, etc. It also helps that everyone that works there is fun to chat with and friendly.

Amanda is an amazing hairstylist. I came to her with badly damaged hair and the color washed out my face. Amanda has transformed my whole look. She has turned my hair into helathy, long beautiful locks. I can tell her what color i envision and she truns it itno relaity. Come to her and you wont be disappointed.

I love Rebecca~ great customer service and integrity that it so hard to find with any business. Her salon décor evolves over time (beautiful) and she’s always got the best smile on her face. She asks me questions about what I’ll actually take the time to do before she makes her recommendations (unfortunately, my time is limited in the mornings with a busy house and I just won’t commit to spending much of it on my hair). She gave me a great cut and color that will take very little effort in the morning to good look and will look GREAT with a few extra minutes. And, of course, her salon mascot (Roscoe the dog) is a great addition!

Bonus to great looking hair: you will have fun getting it! Amanda and the other stylists are very sweet and a lot of fun. One appointment felt more like an impromptu party with old friends (even though it was my first appointment!); and I ended up with terrific looking hair after it all!
Also, this is in a very cool downtown location. Love their boudoir inspired design. Love the music they have on shuffle, good sound system too. Very reasonable prices too.

I live about two blocks away and after reading the other reviews online, and also after being disappointed by other Aveda hair salons in SD, I finally decided to give this place a try. I have had my hair styled, cut and colored here and absolutely love the ambiance and staff — and the quality of work they do. They only do hair — no other spa services are offered, so you can be sure they know their stuff. Every time they have made sure to talk through exactly what I’m looking for and I really appreciate the extra effort they take into making suggestions on what would work best with my face and hair type. And the music absolutely rocks! I also think their prices are more reasonable than other Aveda salons in the area. Will be going here for a long, long time :)

I visited V Workshop for the first time recently and got my hair cut by Alberto. He did a great job… just a really easy, pretty, natural-​looking haircut which fits my generally low-​maintenance hair routine. He has definite opinions on hair, how to cut it and what would be most flattering and isn’t afraid to express his professional opinion. The space is pleasant, bright, airy, and clean with high ceilings, tall windows, and modern eclectic furnishings. Everyone was very nice and professional. I’d certainly recommend V Workshop and do plan on returning.

I’ve been coming to the V workshop for over 3 years and have been so so so happy with Alberto and Rebecca. I can truly say they changed my life. My hair has never been so healthy and gorgeous since I’ve been color processing my hair. The only sad thing is Alberto’s (hair cutter) is not as accessable as he used to be due to more business ventures he is pursueing. I highly recommend if you want your hair to look fabulous and healthy to come here! I totally love them!!! They are awesome!
