Not only were the beans bland and the rice dry, but the woman working at the cash register was ridiculously rude to both me and my sister. She had a horrible attitude, and made every request seem like we were causing her so much trouble. I’m definitely never going back.

Great lunch! Had the Ocean Reef burrito w/spicy griled fish that was tasty and pretty filling. A little too much beans, but they were tender and thoroughly cooked. The chips and salsa was outstanding. Great flavor. If it was later in the day, I would have had a beer. Sat out front on the patio. Nice sunny weather, well worth it!

Came here with a friend since we were craving fish tacos. It was good yet slightly expensive for a fish taco? I wish I would not have gotten the combo plate since I didn’t eat the rice and beans. In the future, a la Carte a couple of tacos and keep it moving. My friend loved his shrimp taco… said it was better than the fish.

We get take out here quite often for lunch. Today, they messed up on our order and did not put everything in that we had ordered and payed for. We had called to inform the manager, Sonia that our order was messed up and her response, «The order not being correct is your fault.» Who says this to customers. Customer service is horrible, poor management skills.

Went there for lunch today with an old friend who puts up with my shit, and still wants to hang out with me. That’s love right there! This parking lot has a retarded layout, that is the only way to put it. Anyway, we showed up shortly after opening, and both had the two grilled wahoo plate(one spicy, one regular) with spicy slaw. He got Cajun beans and white rice, I got brown rice and black beans. The Cajun beans were tastier. Plates were about $ 12.00 with a drink. I got passionfruit black tea, unsweetened, which is pretty much my all time favorite. Restaurant was clean, staff was very professional and polite. Food was decent, but underwhelming. Fish was a bit«fishy» and dry. The tastes were not bold and brassy compared to say a Rubio’s or Chipotle, to compare to peer restaurants. Would not eat here again, not because it was bad, but because it was so bland.

Healthy Mexican food. Great fish tacos and I love their beer battered onion rings. Good selection of plates and bowls and like the green creamy sauce. I wish they had a spicy flavorful salsa like Roberto’s Taco Shops then I’d be eating there a lot more. The rice and beans are tasty and healthy too. Nice staff and love the surf décor.

Stopped by on my way down from a road trip. Very chill vibe, a mix of SoCal surfer/Mexico. I ordered the Wahoo salad with shrimp and inhaled it. Pretty healthy and hearty portions.

This place is really one of a kind– Mexican food, but with a flare. My go-to is always the cajun chicken tacos, much more flavorful than just regular chicken. Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. You can call in an order, which saves some time if you’re in a rush. Friendly staff, and in a great location.

Wonderful place for fish tacos. I enjoy the double shrimp tacos with brown rice and black beans. The French fries taste different but extremely yummy. Friendly price. There are not very much people and they have very cool decorated walls full of stickers and skater boards.

Not sure how I feel about Wahoos. I used to love Wahoos when I was in high school. I stopped going though, not for any particular reason. However now I think I know why. My mom and I decided to go last week. I ordered a carnitas taco and a carne asada taco, both plain, just meat. My mom ordered a fish taco with double rice. And we also ordered the cajun fries. Our fries came first and were pretty good. However, all they really were regular fries and some cajun seasoning on top. But it was only a dollar more so I didn’t really have that big of an issue with it. Plus we finished them. When we got our food, my mom’s was perfect and mine was not. Both tacos were not plain like I asked. So we let our waiter know and he took them back. When he came back I noticed that all they did was scrape the slaw and sauce off my taco. I was kind of shocked by this. What if I was allergic to something in the slaw, thought they had made me new tacos, and ate them? There were remains of the slaw and sauce in my tacos and I had to remove them all. My order was not difficult. All I wanted was the tortilla and meat. Plus there was only one other couple there so it’s not like they were too busy to remake my food. Almost the entire time of us eating the employees were cleaning. I’m all for cleanliness but I don’t appreciate having people clean while I eat.

Wahoos is always a go to spot. Food is fresh and delicious! The employees there are always friendly. Can’t go wrong with anything you order! I always love the vibe, tons of skater, snowboarding, etc stickers but not in a tacky way.

I used to come for lunch with coworkers. Thought it was over-priced and not that good. I recently moved to the area and received some ‘welcome’ coupons or something for some free food. I’ve been to this location now a good half dozen times or more and boy was I WRONG!!! Sure it’s a little more, but you get fresh food, clean(not fried), good variety and a lot of it! I’m a good sized boy and I always leave full. And I have to say that the people that work here have been some of the most helpful and courteous I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant like this. I’ve never felt ripped off, that the employees were anything but helpful, and if I owned this place, this is EXACTLY the experience I’d want my customers to have. Really well done guys.

Food really good and fresh. Disappointed that they were running a gift card promotion — buy $ 30 in gift cards get $ 10 in gift cards. However they were out of cards and didn’t know when they’d get more. My stylist would have loved them. Poor planning on their part as Christmas is still a few days away.

Fresh and made to order. Just delicious and nice and hot. I shouldn’t have eaten so many chips. This is a fish place but Ito had the choice of protein and chose the carne asada. It has diced zucchini, mushrooms, onions, peppers and broccoli. Almost like I was at Mongolian stir fresh. It’s great because it’s across the street and I forgot about this little gem if it wasn’t for the free coupon. I guess I’ll be stopping by again soon.

Wow, this place is totally righteous. We got a coupon in the mail for $ 5 off our total order so we decided to hit up Wahoo’s for lunch. The interior is decorated in skateboard, snowboard, surfboard décor and stickers galore. We ordered a #2, a two taco plate with beans and rice, and a quesadilla. Carne asada as our protein of choice for both. Plates came out quick and fully loaded. Cajun beans and brown rice with the tacos, sour cream and glorious guacamole with the quesadillas. Food was flavorful and quality and quantity of food were above par. Service was great too. You order at the front counter, take a number and find a seat. A server will bring our your food to your table. When you’re done, your table will be bussed. Totally gnarly. In a good way. There are tables out front on the patio for good weather and dining with your doggy.

The portions are quite large if you get the combo plate. I was pretty impressed with the quality and the taste considering its on the fast food side of things. A great place to go if you are looking for some fish but not so much ready to strap on your Sunday’s best! Will for sure be back.

Ambience is typical Wahoo’s style… as if the décor team is armed with packages full of skate and snowboarding stickers and a few cheap cans of paint. Clean, youthful, a chilly AC blasting. Tacos are on point. All served with a crunchy slaw mixture that is lively and full of great flavor. I choose fish, always. It’s much like when I order steak in a place called Moo.(that was bad, sorry) Great selection of iced teas unsweetened, polite and fast service… will definitely hit this place up after my blowout at blobunny and shopping for Moroccan spices at World Market.

I love Wahoo’s. I can’t explain it. But back when they were open in Mission Valley, it was my favorite«fast food» spot. Simple ingredients and simple health conscious food. That rice… so addicting. Mix some of that fresh salsa into it and that alone I could devour. Glad I’ve moved slightly closer to this location so I can stop in here more often.

Even if trying to give the surfer cool vibe, I get cold every time that I visit this fast food taco place. And not only because is really cold inside, is just nothing to remember. I was running some errands today with a colleague during lunch time and this was the only place where we could eat fast(normally they have considerable lines, but we were already passed the lunch time, so we were ok). We got the salmon with rice entrée to share and the new churros chips. Salmon was ok, nice portion at good prices(less than $ 10), so good amount for the value, but nothing remarkable in flavor. The churro part of the chips is the only thing that attracted me. I was expecting something different, and I regretted this load of carb, sugar and cinnamon. 1 or 2 were ok, but not sure if that was supposed to be a dessert, is kind of strange product. It was only $ 2 but would not order any more. Our table was dirty and one of the servers told me she would come and clean but she didn’t(i saw her too busy, so no blame on her for that). Just prefer Rubios over this place, but will go when in the area and nothing else in the fast track.

Love Wahoo’s! Not much else to be said really. I’m appreciative that they serve healthy grub here and not a lot of fried choices. Love the flavors of the white rice and the spicy beans. They’ve added a few new items slowly and I think that’s a good method for them. Just tried the salmon bowl today with a side of citrus slaw. Pretty tasty, but I’d prefer personally not too many onions. Seemed like a lot with my order and I didn’t feel comfortable going back to the office with onion breathe, but oh well??? Service was just ok today. I ended up calling in my order since I would’ve been arriving right in the middle of the lunch rush. Sure enough, I walked in and the line was around the back of the partition right up to the door and all of the table were occupied. When I called the person on the phone said my order would be ready in about 12 minutes. Seemed a little longer, but I wasn’t really counting. Friendly staff helped me out and all went well. Keep on Unilocal’n!
