I travel globally for work and have visited some of the best spas and salons in the world. I’ve gotten infections from poorly disinfected nail tools at those cheapo nail ‘chop shops’ (you get what you pay for!); and I’ve gotten damaged nails from bad manicures at some of the priciest salons in the world. The only person I will allow to work on my nails now is Wendy Wilson. Seriously, she is hands down (pun intended!) the BEST manicurist in San Diego County and the best manicurist I’ve ever been to anywhere in the world, and that covers a lot of salon ground!
Her manicures and pedicures last a minimum of two weeks looking great, and without any fancy or toxically weird products. Instead, meticulous attention to detail and pride in her work makes Wendy stand out far above the rest. I’ve also learned a lot from her about nail health and how to deal with nail issues I have, and in general, Wendy is very educated about pretty much any issue you might have with your nails. Did I mention the amazing leg and hand reflexology massage that comes with her regular mani/pedis…and the complimentary wine or beverage of your choice?!? Ahhhhhhhh!
And aside from the fabulous job she does, and how amazing my nails always look when I leave her salon, Wendy is just a lovely, funny and interesting person. I mean, if you’re going to spend a couple of hours getting a spectacular mani/​pedi, you might as well get it from someone who you enjoy chatting with too, right? Best of all, her prices are very reasonable given the attention to detail, the spa-​like service, and how great my nails look!
