Windwood Park

A newly renovated park geared for kids ages 5 – 12 but is still great for the younger ages. It includes swings, a rock climb structure, sand pit, multiple slides and lots of areas to sit and supervise. It’s located next to an open field for games and street parking is available.

My dog found it unbelievable that this park was not listed on Unilocal,and insisted I add it. He (the dog) rates Windwood Park 5 stars because there are things to sniff, room to run and an adequate number of areas to get his «business» done. We reviewed all the parks he visits, and he gave them all five stars. Dog obviously has a severe lack of rating standards and will not be allowed on Unilocal anymore. Bad dog.
Windwood is a pocket park located close to Del Mar Heights Road in the Carmel Valley area. There is really no reason to come here unless you live in the area. You wouldn’t drive down from O-​Side just to hang out here. Its a 3.5 star park. There is plenty of street-​side parking, a large area for dog running, ball throwing or frisbee tossing. There is a kids play area with slides, swings, monkey bars — you know, the stuff that causes children to eventually cry.
