This place has mostly fruit flavors and they are really delicious. The Green Apple was amazing, best I’ve ever had. Strawberry and mango are very good as well. Lots of fresh fruit topping selections and the price is decent. The service is almost too friendly I think. When we asked for sample cups the girl actually came out into the front with little cups and filled them for us. Really appreciates her service but it was slightly awkward.

First time visitor to this place, I was with friends from out of town. At first glance the place looked clean and cute. It’s a corner yogurt stop in the food court at a Mission Valley mall. The toppings weren’t bad but the yogurt was nothing to rave about! I put my yogurt in a cookie bowl, which wasn’t as crunchy as these cookies usually are. The service was blah, and I mean that literally. There was a guy at the cash register and a girl at the toppings’ station. The guy seemed a bit annoyed when I asked for the cookie bowl, but then came around after a few minutes and cracked a smile. What do I have to do to get a smile these days, dance a bit? Food = C Service = C Cleanliness = B Ambiance = D Décor = N/A Value = B THELOWDOWN: It’s just yogurt and nothing else to brag about. I can’t see myself driving over there to get some.

About 50% of the time i visit this place, a work gives me an attitude. but it’s okay, their job is to stand all day & watch people sample yogurt, so it’s understandable. They are VERY strict with yogurt sampling. they only limit 2 samples per person, and they will not let you sample it yourself. The toppings are awful! the toppings [gummy bears, jelly beans, etc.] are all frozen! who freezes gummy bears?! They have about 10 selection of yogurt flavors, not very impressive. If you had a chance to pick between Yogurt Rave & Yogurt World in convoy, i would say go to Yogurt World :)

Yogurt was pretty good, topping were, ehhhh. What I thought was funny is that there was a tip jar, haha what??? Ok you server you own yogurt, top your own yogurt, wait what do I tip for again??? Oh yea for them to smile at me and take my money, haha hillarious. Get rid of that tip jar, your not providing a service, your a cashier, :-p

OK, so after Phở Cali I didn’t want to drive all the way to Yogurtworld so I was willing to «make it work» with the below average Yogurt Rave in the Mission Valley Mall Food Court. I had read a few reviews stating that they finally got mochi added to their topping arsenal. I parked in the garage under the food court and walked up the out-of-order escalator, made my way to Yogurt Rave and grabbed a cup. I looked at the flavors of yogurt and did not see green tea. I asked the girl behind the counter«Where is the green tea?» she mumbled a bit then told me «We will prolly have it next week». NOOOO!!! Someone @ Yogurt Rave is failing to do their simple, college degree not necessary, no brainer job! Do inventory!!! You should not run out of anything!!! Does McDonald’s run out of fries? Green tea is one of the most popular flavors!!! idiots! After not having green tea or taro I made a quick exit and dropped by an AM/PM for a soda and some Rolo’s. I also grabbed a $ 1 lotto scratcher and won $ 15. I’m now done with Yogurt rave. First visit they didn’t have mochi. Second visit no green tea yogurt. Piss off!!!

Red Mango’s full-service froyo failed in Mission Valley; now Yogurt Rave looks to extend the losing streak on the self-service end. It clearly rises to the level of its surroundings. $.35 an ounce may be an improvement, and you do get control over toppings, but there’s little in favor of Yogurt Rave’s long-term survival. There’s only 10 flavors(actually 9 when I was there), and most of them are americanized previous-generation dessert-themed. The plain is not billed as tart, and is in fact quite sweet. The raspberry tastes artificial. Both textures are very soft; much closer to liquid to start and they melt quickly. Topping selection is adequate, mostly fruit, candy, cookies, or sprinkles. The berries were decent, at least: fresh, not frozen, and the blueberries were good size.

Honestly, there is nothing to rave about with this yogurt place. I hope I got the address right. This is in the same food court plaza as Charley’s, Sarku, Taco Bell, KFC, etc. I enjoy trying different froyo places just so I can have a better taste and feel of what types of froyo I enjoy. I was starring at this place for a while because no one really stopped by, hmm. wonder why. It was a self serve, 35 cents/oz place. The pricing wasn’t that bad, and I usually just spend around $ 2 – 3 on yogurt, so even if I hated it, it wouldn’t have been a waste of money. I sampled two flavors which I’ve never had before — banana and green apple. The banana was okay — just tasted like plain tart with a hint of banana. The green apple just tasted too much like candy to me, bleh. Now, reasons why you should go elsewhere for froyo: 1) When I pushed the lever down for my yogurt, a couple droplets of liquid came out first.(uh-oh, bad sign already…) Sorry for the bad mental example. but just imagine bad diarrhea. After a few seconds, after the liquid passed, the real squirts of froyo came out, and it came in a rush!!! I couldn’t stop myself before I had more than I wanted. 2) Any«authentic» froyo place has mochi. This one, nope… all the toppings were quite Americanized.(Yes, I am docking points off for no mochi, even if I’m not a big fan of it.) 3) Usually these places are cash only, I had a little more than $ 2 of my froyo and got to pay with a credit card… Discover card too! Wowzers! What kind of real froyo place allows you to use a credit card to pay for a measley $ 2 dessert? 4) I should’ve known better when I saw that no one even tried their froyo. I know there are plenty of good froyo places in San Diego for around the same price, go there! Not here…
