Ordered the Cali Club Sandwich with fries. Food came quick but the fries were not even hot or warm to the touch. The place is clean & at 4pm not too many diners. Server is efficient and friendly though. Not bad for the price & convenience.

I’m always in this part of San Dimas because a lot of the businesses here give really good service but this is the worst Denny’s I have ever been to! I am a server at Denny’s and I know the POS system and when you order a slugger you’re able to change the drinks to something else if you aren’t feeling a coffee. She probably thinks I don’t know that… two guys at a table next to me ordered two well done T — Bone steaks and here I am 15 minutes shy of an hour waiting for mine and my boyfriend’s breakfast… Update: she took a complete hour to bring our food the hashbrowns were cold and the sausage was undercooked… I tip on a scale of $ 1-$ 10 depending on how well you did and today is the first time I don’t tip at all.

Slow service, food was over cooked. Don’t get Eggs in a Basket. The pumpkin pecan pancakes were very good. You can do better Denny’s. It was 11:30am on a weekday, not very busy.

THENIGHTSTARTEDOFFWITHTHESERVERTELLINGTHECHILDNOTTOEATTHECRAYONS??? ITONLYWENTDOWNHILLFROMTHERE… I ate here, and it was sub-par. I wish Unilocal would allow zero stars. The salmon was undercooked. It tasted as if it was warmed in a microwave with no decernable flavor or seasonings. I ordered a Santa Fe Skillet just like the picture. It was anorexic, at best, when compared to the picture. The kids pizza was served cold. When this was brought up to the server, we witnessed it was put in the microwave until it was petrified pizza. Rock hard and fully dehydrated. Server totally screwed up the order but I felt bad for her. She was stressed out and gave us the price difference from her own money. We left it at the table, realize everyone has bad days. This dennys loses two stars becsuse some shady sexual activities happening in the men’s restroom. I am sorry but do that sh! t in your car or get a motel room.

I’ve been coming here ever since I was a child. Unlike some of these reviews I LOVE that they preserved the vintage décor. It’s comforting and reminds you of «back in the day.» As for the food, everything is DELICIOUS. Even if you so happen to have a dilemma or you think you got a wrong order,(which chances are you didn’t) the waitress/waiter, will gladly attend to your needs. Everyone here is so friendly! Great for families or a late bite. They are also open 24hrs and very affordable.

I told the lady that I want to have the burger with out Onion Togo. And she said alright, when I go home I figure out that she didn’t pay attention to me. Okay, everyone can make a mistake. So, I didn’t complain. The next time I went I talk to a guy, that I want the burger WITHOUT onion. And thank you very much, they done it again… if this restaurants was not closer from my work to home, I will definitely go to another place. And I am not going back anymore. I can drive a little bit farther to another Denny’s besides 10 freeway to get the attention and service I need.

WORSTPLACEEVER !!! BADSERVICE. We had to wait 20 min for the waiter come take our orders and to be told they had ran out of the kids menu. AppleBee’s Bar &Grill, right next to Denny’s has excellent service and better tasting entrees and appetizers at a much better price. WEWILLNEVERGOBACKTODENNY’s on ARROWHWY in DIMAS.

So reviewing a Dennys may seem weird but when you’re in San Dimas and have only fast food options, Denny is a great pic. I am a trainer and health nut so finding healthy food was a little difficult in this part of Cali. Denny was clutch. It has an awesome fit fare menu. Simple, clean, and affordable. Shoot eating healthy can be expensive. I order the Grand Slam and got double egg whites, wheat pancakes, and chicken sausage. Total calories for this meal is 488 and the macros are decent. Yes I said macros on Unilocal.(told you that I am a health nut). Service at this location was quick. My sister and I cam Saturday morning during the«brunch» rush and only waited 5 minutes for a table. Our server was good. Attentive and friendly. I mean its Denny’s. Cant complain. Decent food, decent price baby!

Worst. Service. Ever. My server was Libby. I don’t think she’s waited tables in a «real» restaurant before. Denny’s doesn’t count — I know that seems harsh, but I have RARELY had good service here. Everyone seems to treat their job as if they are an order taker, not a server. There’s a difference. When I came in, I was greeted and sat by Libby. Originally I was sat underneath an a/c unit, and the place was cold as an icicle, so I moved a few tables over. I’d had a very long day and needed some time to decompress, so I placed my drink order, and then asked for a few more minutes because I had not looked at the menu yet(decompressing, thinking, processing, etc). Libby smiled and said, «Sure». I didn’t see her for about 9 – 10 minutes after that. Finally, she was taking the order at a table nearby, and she stopped by my table, and I placed an order for the half-sized nachos. I know, I know. Why am I getting nachos at Denny’s? Because they are probably the best nachos I’ve ever had. No kidding. My nachos took quite awhile to come up, and the table which ordered directly before me got their food a good 6 – 7 minutes before I did — full entrees. Yes, they ordered before me, but she didn’t ring in their food before coming to my table. She took their order, and then took my order — so I would assume she placed our orders together. Finally, after about 15 minutes, my small order of nachos was delivered to my table. Apparently at this restaurant people don’t run each others’ food. Glad to know everyone has a sense of teamwork(sarcasm). How do I know this? Because after my first bite, it was obvious these had been sitting in the window for awhile — the chips were chewy, and the meat and melted cheese were both lukewarm. I didn’t say anything though, because I had waited so long for my food, I was hungry, and just wanted to eat. To her credit, she did ask if I wanted a refill. Although, a REAL server wouldn’t have asked. She would have just brought it out when it was half empty not after it had been sitting empty on the edge of the table for 10 minutes. When I placed my order for the nachos, I told Libby I was going to possibly order more food later, so she left the menu with me. Not once did she check on me to see if my food was okay, or to see if I needed anything else — like a refill(which I needed), or extra napkins(which I needed). Sure, I could have flagged someone down for a refill, or found some napkins myself, but that isn’t my job. As a customer, I sit in the booth, order food, and get waited on. In return, I give the server a tip. The problem with service in California is servers are making minimum wage + tips. Which means, even if they do absolutely NOTHING, they are still guaranteed minimum wage. Clearly, that is not enough to live on, but in most states, servers make $ 2.13/hr, plus tips. And they have to claim their tips. And they have to tip out bussers, bartenders, and sometimes the host staff. Which means, they know how to actually WORK for their tips. After sitting at my table with an empty drink, and no food for about 15 minutes, I decided to leave. I hadn’t seen my server in over 20 – 25 minutes, and I just wanted to get out of there. So I went to the front to pay, and explained to the other server what happened. My meal and drink came to about $ 8.00, and I left a $ 2.00 tip. Yes, I tipped. Because it was the right thing to do. Because I didn’t want my server to think I was spiteful. When I got home, I called the store and spoke with Dawn, the Manager on duty. She listened to my story, and apologized, and then told me she would gladly replace my nachos for free the next time I came in. The thing is, it wasn’t about the nachos. I had actually forgotten the nachos were sub-par. I was more concerned about the lack of service. I wasn’t the only table affected. When I left, I noticed Libby’s other tables were looking around, wondering where she was. Maybe she went on break, or lunch. A responsible server would have checked up on all her tables FIRST, and then notified each table she was going to go on break, and introduced another server near her section so if her tables had any questions, concerns, or needs, they would know who to ask. Actually, a real server would have waited until the rush had died down, or she didn’t have any tables, because waiting on customers is their JOB. Last time I checked, it is because of customers like myself that servers have jobs. A real server would always be cognizant of that, and thankful they have a job. A good server can make $$ no matter where they work. It’s all about being polite to your tables, anticipating their needs, and being ready when they need you. A good server won’t hover, but will keep a mindful eye on all her tables, so when they see someone start to look around, they can be at the table in a heartbeat. But I didn’t have a good server tonight.

I’ve never had good service here that I can remember. This is probably the ONLY place I don’t tip, and every server has earned their Lack of tip. I go into every place with the intention of tipping, but it’s like the servers here are intentionally trying to be so bad to the point where there is absolutely no way I can justify giving them any extra money. But today, our server, Ryanne, set a new standard in awfulness. She started out ok. she seemed bored and rushed, but it’s Saturday morning, I’m not expecting to be treated like queen Elizabeth. This girl is young. She doesn’t want to be here. I get that, we’re good. But then she took forever to bring our waters, and when she finally brought them, she just slammed them down and ran away. Still, not the end of the world. So we order. And we wait. and wait. We’re waiting 45 minutes and she never comes to fill our coffee or check on us or anything. Finally she brings our food with the promise to return with the fruit that came with our meal(she never did. I never got that fruit.) since we’ve been waiting so long, were in a rush. Plus our 2 year old son wants to eat. But alas, we have no utensils. I wait a while, figuring I’ll remind her when she comes with the fruit. But like I said, she never came back. Finally I approach the area where the servers get the drinks and say«can we have some utensils? We can’t eat without them.» Im trying to be as nice as possible. She gives me this disgusted, horrified look as though I was eating her firstborn in front of her, doesn’t apologize or say anything for that matter, and tells her coworker«go give them three sets over there» and walks away. Wtf?! I’m annoyed now. We eat quickly, and go to pay(she never brought our check either.) the girl ringing us out seemed totally incompetent and it took her a while to figure out which table was ours and she didn’t give us a receipt. I asked for it, so I can fill out a survey, and she seemed annoyed by the request. My standards are low: bring me everything I order and don’t be an asshole. That’s it. Do that, and you’re getting 20%. Apparently that’s asking too much of the employees at this establishment.

Employee Susan took our hot sauce and gave it to another table. Never asked us or replaced it. We also happened to be the only young Hispanic couple there. I don’t like pulling the race card but it is what it is. Never coming here again

The food was mediocre which could have been overlooked had the service been up to par. Ordered a South by Southwest skillet and it was pretty good. Though the chicken was a bit rubbery in some bites. They didn’t have the potatoes that go with the meal but hash browns made a good replacement. I could look over those two things but when my bill was brought out within 5 minutes of getting my meal I felt rushed. They didn’t offer a refill on my coffee which had been empty for the length of me eating my meal. Manager came to register after waiting for a while, did not apologize for the wait just took the money and walked away. Guess if you follow by example employees have nobody to show them good techniques.

Well lets start by saying it’s DENNYS lol it’s everything you expect it to be. Well first off this Denny’s is in desperate need of a renovation like bad floor to ceiling front to back not excluding the bathrooms. The food is Denny’s decent portions for what some may consider a decent price. I’m a fan of the $ 2 $ 4 $ 6 $ 8 deal they have everything’s on the special menu so that’s where I start and finish with the food. The service is great a little slow but when I was at the restaurant it was busy so I guess it’s understandable. Food was Denny’s everything I expected Denny’s to be nothing more nothing less. I gave this Denny’s 3 stars not because of the service not because of the food I didn’t have a bad experience solely based on the fact it’s time for corporate to step it up and renovate the place it’s 2014 make this location feel like it.

It was my first time here, but will definitely be my last! I visited this Denny’s 2 days ago because it was conveniently located by the Gymboree Play + Music gym that my baby goes to, and decided to have breakfast. Big mistake! The interior was outdated, and they were very poorly staffed. 2 waiters, 1 acting manager who was hiding in the office until my incident(will elaborate later), and 1 chef whom needed everything translated to him in Spanish by one of the waitress. They were quick to seat me, but I had to wait forever for them to take my order. The one star was for how quick my order came out. I was done within 30 minutes, and the waiter was quick to hand me my check. He went straight to assist me at the register. I pretty much had my hands full because my very active baby was running around so I was chasing after her. I handed my credit card to my server but right away he handed me my reciept and said«you forgot to put a tip», and handed me the receipt. The total for the entrée was about $ 10, and I put down a $ 2 tip, and signed the receipt. He then handed me my receipt, and since my baby was running off, I stuffed the copy of the reciept in my purse and just rushed out. About 10 minutes later, while I got to the play gym, I was fumbling around for something in my purse and found my receipt — That idiot overcharged me about more than $ 20!!! I work in retail and I know there may be times you accidently add an extra number before or after the total by mistake… but the all the numbers charged were completely different than my original $ 12 total — he even added the $ 2 as tip. I was sooo mad and dragged my baby back to Denny’s to confront him. He saw me and he somehow looked embarrassed… and I explained to him what happened. Instead of apologizing or even speaking a single word(like telling me to wait while he look into it), he proceeded to look all throughout the cash drawer for the signed receipt… which he couldn’t find. Really!!! I was just there 10 minutes before and my signed copy of the merchant copy of the receipt just magically disappeared. He then just walked off and went to get the manager… they both pretended they had found my receipt, or my order… but I knew they didn’t because he asked the waiter what I ordered so they could charge me correctly. They even had the nerve to put in the $ 2.00 tip in there. FINALLY, the manager offered a quick apology but the whole time, the waiter never said a word to me and acted like I was the one who was at fault that he tried to charge me for more and thought he could get away with it and not notice it because I was busy with the baby when he charged my card. EVERYONEPLEASE beware!!! This location is SHADY! The customer service sucks! I would never come here again!!! Please double check your receipts before you leave the restaurant!!!

Haven’t been to Denny’s for some time but after visiting this particular location, I’m definitely coming back!!! Our server, Am was the epitome of customer service,& hospitality. Her SMILE alone lit up the room!!! We were never left wanting because Am was consistently checking on us, fillling our coffee & water glasses. We were there for breakfast & our selections did not disappoint. I can highly recommend the Red, White & Blue Slam. Two eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns & two blueberry pancakes topped with strawberries, whip cream then drizzled in a melted cream cheese frosting… COMPLETELYOFFTHEHOOK!!! With the combination of killer food &AMAZING service, AM has made me a Fan of the Slam once again :) THANK U AM!!!
