I ate here a few years ago and i remembered it being very good. Stopped in tonight for dinner and it was terrible. I got a cheesesteak with wiz. Extra cheese. There was so much cheese on the sandwich it was inedible and torturous to eat. Mind you i asked for extra but this was beyond excessive and extremely gross. There was fat in every single bite. Fries were flavorless. Feeling ripped off for a $ 14 meal alone.

Where’s the beef? For 8.99 I would like to have a lot of meat not all cheese on my philly. Not enough meat, if I want people to skimp on the meat I will go to subway.

Just because the food is ok doesn’t give the manager a right to be a jerk… I ordered a to go sandwich he asked me what I wanted on it and I get to the office and it was wrong!!! I call up and he blows me off on the phone! I guess I’ll take my business to an establishment that cares about there customers! So rude!

If you want an authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwich, then Philly’s Best is the place to eat! Their sandwiches, with all the fixings, will leave your tummy filled, and wanting more. Their fries are good, and there’s cans of Old Bay seasoning, at every table! Best on the fries, as well as the sandwiches! For dessert, have some Tastykake treats!

I have come in here and there and this place is always the same the staff in the back takes a good while to have some one finally take the order. today the guy at the grill saw a line forming and decided to start cleaning the grill because the server hadn’t taken the orders yet too busy in the back room talking and having a fun time back there. no apologies for the wait no warning that the sandwiches would take 15min to make because of the cleaning process at 2pm .no consideration for the customer… I like phillys best but the service at this place is the worst in have ever seen i don’t recommend this place if u have a 30 min lunch I don’t recommend this place at all if it wasn’t 5the sandwiches I would of given it zero stars

There $ 5 deal is pretty good but the sandwiches themselves weren’t that great. I got myself the chicken and mushroom. I was really excited to try this place out for a while and j finally got my hand on a sandwich and some fries. The sandwich looked beautiful but when I ate it all I could really taste was cheese no chicken and not mushrooms. It felt like I was eating a expensive grilled cheese sandwich. Plus the mushrooms that were in the sandwich were canned which explains the lack of flavor. There fries I was very disappointed when I got my order of 3.25 fries(they where pizza fries) the amount I got for 3.25 was sad I could get more for a $ 1 at any other place. This place isn’t something I would see myself craving or going back but it’s worth a try when they got there deal going for you Unilocalers The servers is what is saving this place from getting a 1 star rating from me

This place is awesome!!! I ordered a mushroom chicken, and it did not disappoint! I love coming on the 5th, 15th, and 25th since i’m on a budget. Great price for such a delicious selection! Beats Subway any day!

Pretty good, I have been here twice now both times were really good. Once was a few months back, the most recent was yesterday. They could improve by giving you more meat it’s mostly bread but whatever meat you do get is good. They also had a sick worker at the register she sneezed all over her and and boogers came out she washed up immediately but she should’ve been sent home since she was sick and around food. Over all good place though.

Love the buffalo chicken sandwich! Delicious! Don’t care for the fries, but love the two varieties of pickles! Service is always good, love the guys who work there, always cool, and we always tip ;) Also…on the 5th, 15th, and 25th of the month any sandwich is $ 5.55! They have a loyalty card, with a stamp for each sandwich, and the will give you stamps on the promotion night, very cool!

I love this place. The staff is so accommodating. I order an item not on the menu and it’s never a problem. The one young man knows our order every time we go in. It’s crazy busy if you go on a day with a 5, due to lower pricing. They do take phone orders but it’s usually not necessary as they get orders prepared very timely. Great food & great service.

Like to go to a particular Mom and Pop Philly place but have to say today’s sandwich was of the best philly cheesteaks I have ever eaten and the fries are very tasty. Great job San Dimas location.

Servers were nice, their bathroom was amazingly clean, and both their plain and with unions Philly cheese steak was awesome. It tasted like a good ratio of bread to cheese to steak. They got plenty of tvs to watch all your favorite sports. Nice interior design.

Pretty good philly cheese steaks that are flavorful. I loved the bread used. The pepperoni cheese steak was delicious. I can’t eat my cheese steaks without pepperoni now! Also, there’s a deal on the 5th, 15th and 25th of every month. Who doesn’t enjoy saving money on some sandwiches? They have catering too, which I found to be pretty awesome because you can have your guests assemble their own philly cheese steaks. The ambiance is casual and there is Philly décor plastered all over the restaurant. Service was okay. Not super friendly but helpful. They already had chairs up and everything about two hours before closing. But I can’t be mad at them. I know that sometimes you just want to be ready to leave. I never felt pressured from them to rush or anything like that. They are not the best philly cheese steaks I’ve ever had but they are pretty darn good. I like how they also have a loyalty stamp card. I would go back if around the area!

Should I start with the good news or the bad news? Okay, bad news first: Both times I have been to this Philly’s Best, I have arrived at what would be peak dinner time, around 7pm, and both times, even though they close at 9pm, they had already put almost all the chairs upside down on top of the tables, like they were getting ready to close. So we didn’t get to choose where to sit, because there was only one option available to us. Then, while we were eating our meal at 7:15pm, the girl working was straight up mopping the floors around us. Nothing sends the message, «We don’t want you here» like the whole place closing down around you two hours before actual closing time. It is such a turn off. We ate as fast as possible to get out of her hair so she could close up like she’s clearly eager to do. Nevermind people who want to eat there, I guess. The good news? This place makes a dang good Philly Cheese steak. If there was a place with better service nearby, I’d go there instead, but there kind of isn’t. When I’m in the mood for a good sandwich loaded up with steak and cheese whiz, their stuff hits the spot. Maybe next time I’ll just take it to go, so I can have my steak and eat it, too.

Is it just me or do others feel the same way. But, it seems that when I unwrap my sandwich, the bread is a bit soggy! Maybe its the paper they wrap it in. Maybe, I should stop being so picky… because, I like the flavor of the steak in my sandwich. No complaints there.

The very first time I ate food from here, I was in love. Can’t say that I’ve had a Philly Cheesesteak this good, aside from a Philly Cheesesteak in actual Philly. The food is delicious. After trying it when my brother brought it home, I’ve gone a couple of times myself. I can’t say the service is amazing. The one time I went, it was around 7pm and it was closed. I was truly disappointed because I was craving the cheesesteak so badly. I guess I should have read what time they closed… that was definitely my mistake but I mean, what place closes at 7? The next couple of times, I can’t say the person behind the register was very friendly. They do their job, they take your order and get you your food, but they don’t seem very happy, can they smile every now and then?

It’s a 50⁄50 chance of getting good food here. Depends on who’s working. Fries are often twice cooked, and the amount of meat they put on the Philly cheese steak is lacking. Halfway through your sandwich there is no meat inbetween the bread ends of your sandwich. Lacks meat, twice cooked fries, but packs flavor. Guess that’s why we keep coming back. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s soso. If the owner is there, and his ‘daughter’, you should beware, give you twice cooked fries –THEBOTTOMOFTHEBARREL! Every time we’ve gone there and they are working. I walk right out if they are working. Not worth the high prices.
