Rose of Asia Spa

I recently started going to a boot camp and am extremely sore. I found rose of Asia today on Unilocal and I am so happy that I did! I met with the owner, Amy, and she asked where I was hurting (neck, shoulders, back). She recommended a combo massage: deep tissue and shiatsu. I received my massage from May, and it was amazing! She just seemed to know exactly where I was hurting and applied the perfect pressure. I even fell asleep at some point. I left feeling amazing, limber and so relaxed. I definitely plan to come back, it was one of the best massages I have ever received!

My husband got me a massage for Mother’s Day and it was my First time getting a massage and I must say it was amazing! Very clean and professional! The woman who did my massage was very talented! I have serious back issues and I walked out of there feeling new! Will return many more times :)

This is the first time coming here and Amy did a wonderful job kept asking how I felt and was it strong enough, I don’t really get massage after one place messed up my neck. oh yeah the oil felt great wasn’t to oily after didn’t even need to take a shower. And amy was so nice she told me to leave a review only if i liked it and told me she didnt want no lies or fakes reviews. Best massage in my life.

I scheduled a 1 hour deep tissue massage on Saturday at 3pm, upon arriving the spa door was locked and there was a bell. The place was completely empty and dark with no lights. She made me pay before even receiving the service. The lady who opened was nice and guided me through a long hallway that included a shower. He took me into a room that was dark an told me to undressed and cover with a sheet. When she walked back in, she kept walking in and out of the room talking to another person in an Asian language. She finally started her service by climbing the massage table and straddled me and began to apply pressure. There was a lot of heavy pressure over the sheet and then skin rubbing, with no moisturizer. She seemed to be truly trying, but she did not know what massage therapy is. She kept climbing up and down, and didn’t even notice she was kneeling on my hair. She pinched a good portion of my skin including the tendon above ankle. Her nails were so long, it was very uncomfortable to feel deep pressure with her hands. It was not worth my $ 60 plus tip to this place. I live within walking distance of this place, so I was hoping to be impressed, especially with the great reviews Unilocal offered. I’m quite disappointed and very creeped out by a place like this great city San Dimas is. Definitely don’t recommend it to anyone. Too bad there are no inspection of places like these.

Great spa! They offer everything from massage to pedicure to body wraps. Excellent service and they offer a groupon too!

I met with Miss Amy today, principle Spa owner she was very professional and helpful answering questions about my health and body, she gave a EXCELLENT massage and my body felt 100%better after she completed the hour session. She exceeded my expectations and it was a pleasure to have visited her health spa, I strongly recommend Amy and you should make arrangements to visit her Spa and experience her wonderful service and healthcare. This place is great. I drive from Orange County for a great deep tissue massage. The massage was so rejuvenating and amazing. Their prices are reasonable and the staff are wonderful.

I had significant knee and shoulder ligament pain from past injuries. After trying physical therapy and acupuncture for several months, I went to visit Amy. She carefully evaluated my symptoms and recommended infrared heat lamp, cupping treatment, deep tissue massage therapy and a new vitamin regiment. After several visits the pain is all gone. It is incredible! I highly recommend Amy. She is excellent, her attention to detail is amazing! The spa is super clean with great customer service! This place is the «Nordstrom» of spa’s in the area!

Holy cow this was amazing. I’m not new to the experience but they did such an awesome job on both my friend and I. I had injured my shoulder and they were able to work out the kinks there. I left feeling like a bowl of jelly. You are missing out if you haven’t been. Plus they were able to fit two people into the schedule just two days ahead. I’m sure coming back.

Amy really has the best hands and the best attention to detail. She spent the time to understand our specific needs and well tailor the message experience to make it not only just extremely comfortable, but more importantly customized to treat and alleviate our body pain, ache and fatigue.
My husband and I visited Amy after our three day trip to Disneyland with our five year old. You can imagine how exhausted our shoulders and legs were. The message sessions we received from Amy really made the pain and fatigue disappear. The combination of an awesome relaxing message session, light pleasant conversations, as well as the beautiful music and clean environment made our experience at Rose of Asia such a wonderful one.
We would highly recommend the Spa and give Amy a two thumbs up! We will certainly come back!

I came here for a pregnancy massage. Amy was terrific. She employed acupressure to ease my terrible migraine and she knew where my sore spots were. At the end of the massage, she prepared ginger tea for me to relieve my cough. I like the spa’s ambiance. It is clean and inviting. I will be back for more.

Rose of Asia is a great place for a massage. I’ve had back problems for years which have shown up on MRI’s. 2009 was my most recent MRI until last month. In the intervening years, I came to Rose of Asia. My favorite massage person, Grace, does a great job. Included in the massages (especially if you ask) is that they walk very carefully on your back, your spine, using pipes (above) to guide them. My MRI last month is now perfectly «NORMAL» for my entire back. I can only attribute this to Rose of Asia and their excellent massages. Thank you, Amy, Grace, and the team.

Just a few other NEW comments regarding Amy and her Rose of Asia Salon. My boyfriend and I publish a community newspaper, La Nueva Voz, a bilingual publication and we are also on Unilocal!Yesterday, was our monthly «massage» and spa treatment day after the hard work we both do. I can no longer have a massage due to my current health situation, however, I get a pedicure from Amy. I always call to make sure Amy is working. If she isn’t, then we wait until the following Sunday or whenever time allows. Amy is the best and her Sunday staff is also excellent. We get treated like Royalty when we stop in at the Rose of Asia.
If you want a really good massage and/​or a pedicure; look no more. Amy has the best customer service, her staff is very friendly and will make sure you are comfortable and her prices are very reasonable. You might want to call first and make an appointment.

I went to get a pedicure. I wanted a relaxing experience since my back and feet have been bothering me. I should have left as soon as I saw the massage chair I was expecting did not exist, but I was the only person inside and I felt too awkward to leave.
The women are very nice. Do not get me wrong about that, but the issues and awkwardness that ensued made it not worth ever going back.
I sat in the chair and waited while she came back with a bucket of water she had poured into a trash can bag. This was definitely not what I was used to. There was no music playing. It was so very quiet. Then the other woman that works there came and watched as the woman started on my toes. They chatted amongst themselves for a while. Strange.
Not too long after, a man came to visit my pedicurist while she was doing my toes. It turns out he was the nursing assistant to her husband. She tells me he just passed. I feel very very badly about that, but the visit did slow her down when she was working.
He eventually left after maybe twenty minutes and she started to elaborate about her husband’s passing and the situation she was currently in. I am not a callous person, but I didn’t feel that was the right time. I just wanted to relax and not think of anyone’s problems, including my own. She had tears in her eyes, which of course made me tear up too. She asked about my family life, so I shared some. It was just too much for a pedicure. I could understand if she knew me and I were a regular customer, but this was my very first time there.
The massage was great. She did an overall decent job, but I can’t say I enjoyed myself.
When it came time to pay, she told me $ 20. All I got was a spa pedicure. No design. Simple color. Those are usually 17 or 18 dollars and I had seen on their website it is listed as $ 18. I thought okay, maybe I look like a bad tipper since I’m young, so I didn’t question it. I gave her $ 23 cash and went on my way. I see on the website it says prices subject to change, but maybe they should have a board somewhere to advertise prices. I feel pretty sour about the whole experience, though I feel terrible that her husband passed and my heart goes out to her for that.
Oh, and the reviewer that mentioned the excessive amount of time spent in there is right. It was about one hour and 45 minutes for me to get out of there all done. That is way too long.

My wife and I came here for our 2^nd couples massage yesterday and it was another great experience. I am not sure who gave me my massage (new since we had been there last) but hers was from Amy. Being a sufferer of chronic migraines, my wife has been there for a number of massages, trading off between Jasmine and Amy and always comes home headache-​free, happy with the great massage and noticeable results.
The pros: Focus on the areas of tension and you can tell they have a lot of experience with their technique. The rooms are very clean and the ladies are professional. The price is also a great bonus!
The cons: No music during the massage and a little too much conversation between the two therapists during our massage. This may have been due to mine not speaking too much English and getting translation on if I was happy with the areas she was focusing on.
Overall it was another great experience, full of relaxation followed by a great night of sleep! My wife and I would definitely recommend Rose of Asia for a massage.

I have been going to Rose of Asia getting my nails done and having massage for the past year. The spa is clean and nicely decorated, more importantly, the services are amazing! I live in DTLA and think it is definitely worth the gas & time to drive over, because I’m very picky about spa services.
Last weekend was my first time doing facial. Grace quickly cleaned all my blackhead and pimples. My skin have ever looked so smooth and tight! There were a few red dots initially after cleaning, because my acne was really tough and big. But it is normal. After couple days skin is recovered, my face looks like I never had acne and blackheads. I am very happy with the result! Thank you Grace!

A hidden gem! Hila gave a $ 60 for 60 minute deep tissue massage that was soo relaxing, I would give her 5 stars. Only 4 stars because mani/​pedi couldve included a little bit longer massage that you didnt have to pay for by the minute. Pedicures are done with wooden buckets lined with disposable plastic and are more sanitary than the foot spas. Staff is friendly, place appears very clean and well maintained. Ample parking in the rear. I will definitely come again to try a dermalogica facial or body scrub, AND a massage! Open late too.
