This park is pretty big, very peaceful especially if u go for a walk in middle of the day. They also have a popular hiking trail which I and other friends have enjoyed. Feels safe too.

I don’t really know how to play DG, A stroll in the park + frisbee = fun. And the course is well maintained.

Great DG course! Plenty of parking. There’s a store for buying and renting discs. They sell snacks and refreshments and the staff is super friendly. Keep any extracurricular behavior on the DL. Don’t litter. Have a fun time! Its $ 2 a person to play for the day.

This is my favorite course in Southern California. It just barely beats Huntington Beach and easily beats La Mirada. The pro shop features a world champion, Steve Rico #4666 who sometimes works here. I took my noob buddy Dan once and Rico gave him some tips and sold him some discs in the excellent pro shop. Dan got his 1st ever birdie, and got to meet one of the best ever athletes in the sport. One day my daughter and I came here when Rico and Ken Climo #4297(12 time PDGA champ) were here shooting an instructional video with a small film crew and some other pros. I told her to get his autograph while he was eating whatever their caterers were serving. She went up to some weird older guy and I yelled out, «Not HIM, the OTHERGUY!» and she embarrassingly turned around and got Ken’s autograph. I love to embarrass my teenager whenever I get the chance. That was the 3rd time I’ve gotten Ken to autograph discs for me here in California and he lives in Florida. Another time we came here, Rico and McBeth(#1 ranked) were playing the final round of a tourney on the extended course design which features an additional several dozens of acres of Veterans Park. McBeth astonished everyone including Rico when he threw a driver uphill off the 11th tee that went well past the basket for a birdie. I’d never seen anyone throw that far uphill before! On another shot which was a downhill, McBeth threw a disc further than I’ve ever seen a disc fly on an actual course without a tailwind! Another birdie of course. I believe McBeth won that tourney. I’m surprised he’s never won a world championship. Oh wait! I just looked it up, he won in 2012AND2013!!!

This is a nice park. The disc golf course feels a little bit smaller than some of the other courses I’ve played on, but it’s still quite a challenge to navigate through and around all those trees! The people I’ve met on the course and in the shop are just super rad, sweet people. I love coming up here, and a game is only $ 2.

Update time! New tee pad has been erected for Hole #18…although it’s not officially in use(sign remains where old tee pad is). New tee is maybe 30 feet behind the old one, making the last hole quite longer and more difficult.

Decided last night to roll out here with the homie. We left around 930 from bellflower got here around 1030 My homie came from HB I drove from anaheim. The dudes who ran the place were cool. They give you a map to find the pins, but red white and blue is all you really need to remember. All other courses should really adopt this style. It was windy as heck but on and off so it took some luck & consistency to win. A few holes you need to almost go down from tee to look, unless you got a group in front. By noon you had someone on each hole but it didn’t feel crowded at all. Fun course and not far from la/oc. I would recommend this as a getaway from your normal local course… and its worth the drive… If you live in la/oc and have not been here before you are sleeping. Remember also this course us strictly for disc golfers. Wooooooooooo.
