Danzone

i took some beginners salsa classes in college and decided to keep taking some more. My masseuse therapist told me about a small studio in San fernando, it was a little far from me at the time but i am so glad i gave it a shot. I Love Lenny, shes such an amazing fun but very professional salsa instructor. if your thinking about learning this is the place to go!

I love this place! I’ve been going to Danzone since 2008 and Lenny’s way of teaching and incorporating socialization into the class definitely makes it one of my favorite places to be. Lenny is a wonderful instructor, always there to help and give her students and community a helping hand. She is more than just an instructor because she becomes a friend to you. I have taken her salsa classes, been on her performance team, taken her zumba classes, other fitness classes and have had the privilege to teach some classes as well. She also does great choreography for quince’s and weddings, or anything else you might want. This place is a positive business to the community, providing high quality dance classes at a very reasonable price. Lenny has given more than 100% to her business and it shows. Definitely a place to be in the San Fernando valley.

Did Zumba with Lenny, oMan, she is krazy energetic and fun! The hour flew right by… before I knew it we were stretching to cool down. Great class!

Lenny is an absolutely great teacher! Stick to it, be patient, try, get it wrong, she’ll give you what you need to get it right, just don’t give up! Fun classes usually filled with laughter!

I have been coming to Danzone on and off for over two years and I have to say that I love it and look forward to each and every class I take. Lenny truly provides a great environment for people that want to explore a new passion and she constantly looks for new and exciting classes to offer the community. She is very precise and detail oriented in her instruction of Salsa dancing and wants her students to excel. She also works with professional and skillful instructors to offer classes such as Yoga, Zumba, Bachata and now Kizomba. What is even better is that students get to practice their newfound skills during monthly socials where they can demonstrate their knowledge and meet great new people. It’s a great place that provides happiness and a sense of art and community. Check it out– you won’t regret it.

My daughter has been taking hip hop and a chiquitas classes for the last five months. I can tell she really enjoys it. Lenny has a lot passion for what she does and it comes out in the kids that take her classes. My daughter can be shy about performing in front of people she doesn’t know… but the passion and love of dance that Lenny displays effortlessly; offers my daughter the chance to forget about it all.

only giving one star for miss Emily she was the main reason of signing my child and was good with the kids ever since she left down hill … poor management … recitals very unorganized kids are starving by the time they go on stage. costumes bought a week before show some parents complain on how the shirts fit very very very poor management

I really dont want to share Danzone with the world, but I have to be fair and say that Lenny is the best instructor ever! She cares for her zumba girls and adds an extra challenge each class which makes us all sweat while having fun. The vibe is really good! The class is filled with good energy!
If salsa is your calling, dont doubt to ask Lenny to teach you! This girl knows all the moves! Also, the ballet instructor, Miss Monica, is awesome & professional. I have to say, teaching little girls is a challenge, and Miss Monica does an excellenT job! I give them 10 stars!

Wow Wow Wow!!! Zumba class with Lenny is GREAT! I sweat buckets within minutes and that is something that 30min on the treadmill can’t even do. This is in my opinion the best form of cardio.

Lenny is the best!!! Really great workout and yes boy does she make you sweat!!! She makes Zumba so much fun. She makes it a very welcoming and comfortable environment to go get your dance on. I recommend Danzone highly, especially Zumba classes. Try it! Once you do you won’t stop!!!

I checked the reviews before I took private lessons from the owner/​instructor, Lenny Castillo. I paid for 10 private lessons for $ 400.00 On the 4 the appointment Lenny was a no show. I called the business 3 times and finally a month later she called me. I was very disappointed and asked for $ 200 back since I was no longer interested in getting lessons from a flake. Mind you I already paid upfront and politely told her I expected my money back or I would write an honest review. The check was supposed to be in the mail over 2 weeks ago so she never refunded my money. I also made a formal compliant with the BBB. What kind of business owner expects no consequences If she is unethical and not a trustworthy person.

I really think it’s time that I update my review considering I’ve been going here, on and off, for about 2 years. Lenny, in my opinion, is the best Zumba instructor. I drive all the way here from Chatsworth twice a week to attend her classes. She is fun and she is funny. I like her little jokes every now and then during our classes. I like her songs because I feel sexy dancing to Daddy Yankee. Now I didn’t say I look sexy because maybe I look a bit dorky but I feel hott! Nothing feels better (with the exception of a few things), than Zumba with Lenny, shower, and bed. I have the best sleep Monday and Wednesday nights. The classes get pretty full nowadays but I try to get there early to keep my spot. Other than Lenny being so awesome, I like the ladies in the class. I tried a Zumba class that was right by my house but I didn’t feel comfortable with the other ‘classmates.’ I feel comfortable to shake it here and I’m sure everyone else feels the same way. I 100 000% recommend Lenny’s class to anyone who is looking into getting in shape and stay in shape. She will make you sweat!

Lenny is the best dance/​workout instructor I have ever seen.
I first started going for the Salsa classes, which are so much fun. Lenny is such a great teacher. My Husband and I tried other Salsa classes before, and he never learned how until we came to Danzone.
Then I found out they had zumba, and body-​sculpting classes. These are way better then any other aerobic class I have ever taken. I have a membership to 24hour fitness, but I don’t even go anymore, because I get all the exercise I need from these classes. Lenny is the best, she makes working out so much fun. I really look forward to going to all her classes.

I have been taking zumba for about a month now with Emily and I love it. This is my second time taking zumba and this is so much better than what I was doing at 24 hour fitness. Emily has great energy and is really sweet. I love that she incorporates different styles of music and keeps it contemporary. It’s never boring and I look forward to every class.

I’ve taken classes all over Los Angeles County and can say that one of the area’s truly hidden gems is Leny Montes at Danzone. She’s clear, patient, enthusiastic and friendly. Her energy and enthusiasm are clearly evident not only in the excellent instruction but in the students as well. I’ve taken more than my fair share of Salsa Classes and can honestly say that the students at Danzone get more than there money’s worth. If you’re looking to learn to dance Salsa, this is the place to do it.

This place is sooo awesome. I really wanted to take salsa classes with my bf, but he is in his last sem of grad school, so I have to wait… But I found out about their belly dance class on their website and took my best friend with me to a trial class last night and it was awesome! Great workout! Can’t wait to try their other classes. It’s super affordable and their schedule is pretty workable with mostly evening classes. Check it out!
