Kept my job. Kept my boyfriend. Lived in Phoenix. Kept sane(i think). Kept working out. Planned to move. Local concerts. Travel. Lessons learned. New beer was discovered and enjoyed. New friends met; others regarded more highly. Overall, 2008 was very good to me. By the end of the year, things were looking great. I put my stuff in boxes — twice. Once in my own condo; the other to move out East. I set no resolutions, except to make the most out of every day. Turns out those days flew by — a blur of a blur. I don’t remember much about 2008, though I do remember it was the year, first time in 20, that KU won the NCAA Basketball Championship!!! Celtics won, too. Red Sox put up a good fight. Eli Manning led the Giants to a great upset(sorry Pats fans). It was a good sports year. 2009 has some big shoes to fill.

Everyone seems to want to make a list of reasons why 2008 either a) sucked or b) was awesome. I’m having a hard time giving it anything less than 4 stars because while the first 11 months could go straight to double donkey dick hell, something changed in the month of December. Reasons why 2008 sucked: –My hypochondria got out of control. I won the award for«scariest pillow talker ever». Yay. –My debt is still where it always was, which is in deep shit. –My ex had my car until April and the stress caused a loss of 10 pounds. –Crappy relationship. COMEON! I’m being honest here. –I dated a lot of assholes. One date each because they almost all ended before dinner came out of the kitchen. –I lost a sense of self on this stupid website. But…then as I continue making this list, I can’t help but think of the great, wonderful things that 2008 brought: *I met some pretty awesome people. To name just a few(this thing has a character limit not to mention your fucking attention span): Keane, Michael J, Amanda, Rye, Janney, Beau, Rachel, Donna, Tinna, Shelly and Eric, Ligaya, Connie, Jessica, Michael H and Jeannette, Joe, and a plethora of others that I can’t imagine going forward into 2009 without. I love all of you for being such wonderful souls, and am forever grateful I got to meet you. *I started therapy for the first time. It took me 14 years after my mom sent me that one time, but this has been more than worth it. My hypochondria is gone, I learned to stand up for myself, and to stop caring about people who didn’t care to get to know me as a person. This has worked well for how I react to you assholes on here. *hugs* *I have a set plan to go back to school and know exactly what I want to do. Which school I have yet to find out… but that’s for next year. *My debt IS going away. Slowly, but it’s getting there. *My relationship with my parents got so much better after not speaking to them for a few weeks this month. See my Chocolatier Blue review if you really care to find out why. *I cleared out all the trash friends I had, and deleted 85% of my pictures on facebook. Who really needs to see me that much? No one. * I got an iPhone and changed my number and am much more reserved with giving it out. «You want my number? No.» *I reconnected with my Star Wars fandom. *I’m starting to play WoW. *Last but not least, I want to thank Amanda, again. She introduced me to one of the most wonderful men I’ve ever met, my current«it’s complicated» on facebook(even though we say«boy/girlfriend» when the other isn’t around for fear we’re crushing each other’s space). Once again, there is a character limit + your attention span so I won’t tell you everything I love about this guy. Even if it doesn’t work out in the end, I will still be grateful enough to have met someone so loving, caring, and overall beautiful.(Anyone who learns one of my favorite songs on the piano to wake me up in the morning deserves nothing less than that) SO. 2008, thanks for being so fucking shitty that I’ve come to appreciate the things 2009 will bring. (asshole)

If I could give this crapaholic year a NO star review, I definitely would. Wait, actually, it deserves just one star for all the firsts that happened this year. First time on Unilocal.Hahaha First airplane ride First time playing poker(and I cleared everyone out, too. Too bad it was just fake money. Drat) First trip to SF and the Bay Area. First train ride(Jersey to NYC. hahaha. got on the wrong train coming back, too!) First time making Coconut Curry Chicken First time running in a marathon(and was sore for 3 days after! Hehehe) First other things. Hehehehe =X As for other cool things? Obama won! Pacquiao won! And just the traveling in general was nuts, but AWESOME.
