Rain or shine, this show was going to go on. Luckily, the sun showed up just in the nick of time. I bleed Orange & Black and a die-hard Giants fan. Hard to believe, but this is my first Fan Fest; and rain or shine, I wasn’t gonna miss this one. Got to see the Panda, and boy I hope he sticks to his diet and workout routine. And there’s The Franchise, John Lennon lookalike and probably a Bob Marley fan in Tim Lincecum. Dude deserves his 13 million a year and maybe more. Got autographs and pictures from Sergio Romo and Madison Bumgarner. Romo was hella cool and was very playful with the fans; and the wifey thought Bumgarner was cute. Funny thing is we got in line for Buster Posey but they had rotated them in the middle of the signing. But it was all good… beggars can’t be choosers. Got to check out the dugout and the pitcher’s mound. Even checked the right field wall where many a balls would carom off the wall with crazy bounces. it’s definitely a different feeling when you’re on the field compared to the stands. Makes you feel like a kid again. All in all, a great time to enjoy the day and best of all, it’s free. I can’t wait till the season starts and it can’t get here soon enough.
