ABC Imaging

While frantically trying to find a custom copy/​printing place before the end of business day, I had called around a few places to learn that either 1) the price was way too high or 2) they are not able to print any 17×22 copies and esp. not on the same day. Finally, I was recommended to go to ABC Imaging by a nearby print servicing store (that I also found through Unilocal) who couldn’t help me print the size that I wanted as well as complete my print request on the same day. So. they were nice to recommend ABC Imaging! Although this store was a little out of my way, especially during rush-​hour traffic. I’m so glad I came here! Not only did someone with a friendly smile greeted and attended to me right away but I was told that the print job would be finished in 1-​hour or less. That sounded amazing. But, guess what? We were in and out within 10 minutes! Talk about awesome! We got exactly what we needed and at an unbeatable price. Will definitely be back for any kind of imaging/​print service in the future! I will be kissing Staples, Office Depot, Office Max any other big name chains goodbye! This is the place you want to go to for any personal or business/​professional printing/​imaging service!

I worked with Bobby at ABC to have some booklets printed for one of our hotel properties. The turnaround was incredibly fast, and he made sure to stay under our budget. I had looked into using Fed Ex and other copy shops to try and save money, but ABC beat their quotes and delivered a much higher quality product. Will definitely be using them in the future!

These guys do a great job with large format printing, and have a quick turnaround time. Including speedy delivery to your doorstep, if that’s what you choose.
I needed my most recent order ASAP and they had it ready for me to pick up within an hour and a half. Friendly and personable staff, excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

My bf have searched high and low for a printing company that can accommodate his 9×14 newsletter. We walked in here after work one night and surprisingly they said it should be a piece of cake. That means a lot.

I’m glad to be the first to review this establishment. Normally, I don’t post much on here as it’s all subjective; however, when I feel strongly about a place, whether good or bad, I can’t resist the urge.
Background about the establishment: formerly known as Graphic Reproduction in SOMA, they merged with ABC Imaging and are now located in the FiDi near Pine and Battery Streets. The old place was a total dive; the new facility while seemingly nice looking is small and cramped. Nice looking does not equate to good service. Never judge a book by its cover, right?
Previous history/​experience with Graphic Reproduction: while working in marketing coordination for a design firm in SF, I repeatedly had issues with the quality of service and output. Color was always way off, I repeatedly had to give them new instructions and give them pointers on how to trouble-​shoot a variety of situations. In some instances work was so badly produced that I had to ask for a discount; once my work was returned to me so late that I almost missed the deadline.
Fast-​forward to nearly two years later: I took a design class and needed some color plans and sections to be printed for my final project. I looked these folks up and thought they’d be better after talking with them a bit and learning of the merge. New company, new identity — new «image!» Not at all… the image of my work was way off: pixelated and the color was horrible. I pointed this out to the gentleman and he said that every screen is different it will be fine we’ll color match — blah blah blah. Needless to say, when I got the final print it was so bad — even after I brought in the original drawing for them to color match. The graphics person was the same as well — she would sit at the computer, using Photoshop, and would just stare at the screen without knowing what to do. After many hours there trying to work with them, I hastily left.
Also to note is that their computers run super slow. The graphics person would click to open Photoshop and it would be about 5 minutes before it actually opened. This translates to an inordinate amount of time spent to execute and produce anything you ask them to «design.»
Despite the fact that they did such a poor job, they ran the charge for the horrible color scan. When I asked if they would reconsider, they declined.
Since I was there a few hours, I also saw a couple of instances where large jobs had been brought back by other design and engineering firms due to the poor quality of product and customer service. In one instance, a very large job for an architectural firm had apparently been dropped by them, belaboring receipt of output. They ended up staying open very very late on a Friday night as a result of their neglect.
The lesson learned: spend the extra money and go to BPS Reprographics to get your work copied, printed, collated, stitched, bound, etc. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND PRECIOUS $$$ HERE!!!
