Employees obviously don’t understand the validation policy when they treat it as a flat discount.

Easy place to park and affordable

Finding parking space right next to Ferry Building, Embarcadero is a pain (we have been here a few times, and it never fails to happen — No street parking available!).
PARKING AVAILABILITY: ⁹⁄₁₀. We came here on a weekday, after work hours. We parking was around half full. The guy at the booth was pretty friendly and asked how long would we park for.
PRICING: 7.5÷10. If you are visiting any place in the Ferry Building, make sure you have your parking ticket validated (basically means, if you buy something from any local business at Ferry Building, they will put a sticker on the back of you parking ticket, which says, «Validated»; you need to ask for this validation sticker from the store/​restaurant at Ferry Building when you buy anything from them), so that your first 2 hours pricing is $ 2.50.
I docked 1 star because of the pricing from 3^rd hour onwards. Coming to Ferry Building, I doubt if most people would be there for just 2 hours. The flat rate from 3^rd hour is $ 6.50 per hour to a $ 55 maximum for the day (or if you lost your parking ticket).
LOCATION: ⁷⁄₁₀. It is an open parking space (no shade or roof) so plan accordingly. The good thing is that it is right next to the street and next to the sidewalk.
If you are visiting the Ferry Building, this is a good spot to park.

Pulled in to charge my tesla. But it was not working. Attendant said I have 7 min grace period go to rush out. But two cars ahead stuck at exit gate and that same attendant went to help him. After several minutes they get gate arm up and I’m forced to pay all because I entered end neither the tesla charge station or gate arm worked right.
This place is a scam!

Is parking ever good in SF? We parked here for a meeting way across town (10 minute walk) and they had a spot for our driver’s monster truck.
Everything was in one piece when we came back, that’s good news right?
I suppose it’s a good location for touristy stuff, not so much for business meetings.

this lot sucks!!! for a little over 2 hours cost me $ 19.50!!!
when i came in, the guy asked me how long. i said a few hours, not really sure. he says they close at 7:30… almost trying to discourage me from parking. well i had a meeting in 15 minutes, so didn’t have much choice.
well my bf came along about an hour later, and the guy offered him flat rate $ 20… what the heck dude!!! so after my meeting, i go back to get my car. as i’m pulling out of the lot, he has a sign for flat rate $ 15. my bf had only parked there about 15 minutes earlier.
so yeah… expect to get screwed. they seem to make up their pricing as they go.

not necessarily because of the lot itself or the location but simply because of the worker there! I just got back from the ferry building, and I never write reviews unless the business was a wow or a «I’m never coming back and I don’t want other people to suffer». This business was DEFINITELY the latter I’m sorry to say. Getting there wasn’t so bad it was on the way back that was terrible!
The attendant didn’t tell us we never used validation on arrival, and so when we got back, and he saw we had things from the farmers market, he told us that we owed $ 19.50, we stayed maybe minutes over two hours, don’t get me wrong i understand that if you go even a minute over then they charge you for the next hour; but then he decided to be rude and say ‘weeell I’ll let you off this once” and then charged us the price with validation, which i believe was about $ 11. Over all it was just a very unpleasant experience and I DON’T think I’ll be coming back…
Also, he needs to be more careful while driving in the parking lot, he was whipping around the parking lot, with people standing right there! In someone else’s car no less, he even peeled out. Bad experience aside it wasn’t very safe, even if his job was to move cars in a timely manner.

After unsuccessfully finding parking on the street and not wanting to pay a $ 20 flat fee at another lot, I happened upon Ace Parking. I pulled in, got a ticket, and left my car with another attendant. I was thrilled to only have to pay $ 5 for two hours of hanging out at the Ferry Plaza (validation needed). Thanks, Ace Parking!

Convenient to Ferry Building with $ 2.50 /​hr validated parking.
$ 2.50 for next hour (validated) but beware 3^rd hour ($ 6.50).

I think this is an EXCELLENT lot and the ‘only’ great parking solution for the Ferry Building. I have been parking here for several years now, on average 1 – 2 times a week, and the staff, in particular Mr. Rahim, are great. Rahim is a very nice and hard working man, and I trust him with my vehicle, both supervising as well as driving, as there are some ‘overflow’ busy times when they ask me to leave my key so they can move cars around as needed. Rahim recognizes me as a regular customer and he is really a great guy and I am a very happy customer of his. Anyways, this is a great location for the Ferry Building (as well as La Mar) and they take both cash & credit cards. *** Don’t forget to get a validation sticker from the Ferry Building vendors!

DO NOT PARK AT AN ACE PARKING STRUCTURE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR BUMPER SCRATCHED.
For the past three years, I have been a monthly parker at the Ace garage located at 1776 Sacramento Street. I have never had an incident.
However, recently I bought a brand new 2009 Toyota Corolla. When I bought the car, there wasn’t a scratch on it, obviously. One night in late May, when I went to pick up my car I noticed a scratch on the rear bumper. The scratch looked like it was another car’s front license plate imprint. It looked like someone had tried to park a car really close to my car, and bumped it. I brought it to the attention of the night valet, Loel. He said he was so so sorry. He said it was one of the other valets. Loel said he would start putting my car in a safer place, so it doesn’t get bumped by another valet again. Loel walked me into the garage and showed me a spot tucked away in the back where my car would be safe. He said «from now on», he’s park my car there. However, over the next couple weeks when I went to go get my car, it was never in the spot he promised.
On June 2, 2009, I came to pick up my car from the garage and noticed an even bigger scratch on the rear bumper. Again, it looked like someone tried to park right next to my car, but bumped it with the front license plate of another car. I brought this immediately to Loel’s attention as well. He said he was so so sorry, and it wasn’t him, it was another valet. He gave me the number of Victor, his supervisor.
I called Victor and made a plan to meet with him on June 3 at 1:30 p.m. so I could file a claim and he could take pictures. But Victor didn’t show up. I had to call him and wait an hour for him to arrive. When he arrived, he took a picture of my bumper with his iPhone. I filled out the claim paperwork and gave it to him. I told him my car was scratched before and I was promised a safe spot. Victor said he was sorry and showed me a new spot where my car would be parked «from now on.» However, when I went in the very next day, my car was not there. I then called Victor and asked what happened to the second safe spot my car was promised. He said he was so so sorry and I should call the manager, Ted Tran.
On June 5, I called Ted Tran the manager of the garage and he was very rude and abrupt. He said he’d file the paperwork and I’d hear back from him in two days. However, I never heard back from him. I left him three voicemails over three days and he never called back.
Moreover, I called the corporate office today and Ace Parking INC’s Claims Manager, Clay Adams’, assistant said no claim had ever been filed. She emailed Clay and asked him to look into the matter. Clay Adams never called me back. I left him 2 voicemails.
I have not yet heard from Clay Adams, Ted Tran or Victor. I’m wondering what happened to my claim. I’m getting plenty of apologies, but what I’d really like is a solution to fixing my bumper.
