Like Perseus, I conquered the Kraken! This sandwich did not disappoint. The tartness of the slaw, the saltiness of the nori, with the refreshing avocado wasabi, and the perfectly crunchy soft shell crab, all in a buttery roll was a match made in heaven. Their chicken and waffle fries are tasty, the chicken isn’t overly battered and the waffle fries have just the right amount of coating to make them crunchy.

Oh the fries… you gotta get the fries! Just read the menu description, and you’ll know why: Ultimate AGT Fries Waffle Cut Fries, Drunken Pulled Pork, Bacon Bits, Shredded Cheese, Jalapenos, Tapatio Sauce, a Fried Egg, Grubbin’ Asian Slaw and(2) Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets The portion is huge and felt like I was lugging around a pound of food in the carton — this might be a good option to share. Tasty and very indulgent.

The food is good… not great. The great thing about Adam’s Grub Truck is the uniqueness of the menu. It’s a mix of American burgers meets Asian grub. It’s a very unique Asian Fusion. I happen to like it. I first heard about this from a relative of mine who heard about it on from the Food Network. Since then I looked where he was going to be at on FB and chased him down. What you like will depend on your tastebuds. The first«burger» I ate was the Kracken. I am not a big wasabi fan, so I told them to hold the avocado wasabi. It was okay, but I was expecting more. The second burger I had was the Double Dragon. Now this was good. It was perfect on my pallet and had the perfect amount of ‘slaw on there. Who knew this strange concoction of a burger, ‘slaw, egg, chicken, and pulled pork would work so well with each other. If you are in the mood for a Challenge Meal, try the 6 lbs. Ultimate Adam Bomb. If you finish it, it’s free and you get a free Adam’s t-shirt. I’m going to have to smoke some trees one day and try it. But that’s like an athlete taking steroids. So, yes, I am a fan. It’s original menu puts it on the top of my favorite list.

Perhaps I came on a bad day, but the same forces that drove many of these higher reviews were not with me today. I came early during lunch, and there wasn’t much of a line. I ordered their Garlic Noodles, and added some Chicken and some Eggs to it. I have no complaints about the portion size, it was decent, but the pricing was a bit high. The largest issue for me however, was the taste. It was… for lack of a better word… non-existent. I knew I was in for some trouble when they asked if I wanted them to pour Sriracha over the noodles. You need NOTHING on good Garlic Noodles. NOTHING! However, after diving into the food, I found the Five Spice Garlic Chicken to be very bland. Just tasted like any other chicken that was grilled dark meat. The eggs weren’t seasoned, but that’s normal on any addition. But the Garlic Noodles lacked any flavor whatsoever. Compared to many Cajun restaurants, or another local truck such as Little Green Cyclo, their noodles leave a lot to be desired. I probably won’t be trying them again, as wherever they’re located there is usually an abundance of better options.

They might have been having an off day, but there’s a problem if even the fries are soggy rather than crisp and hot. Detected sugar or some unnecessary overload of sweetness on my tacos. The taco shells tasted old and were hard on the edges, having dried out. There were several food trucks in the area, all with long lines but this one. Not surprised why. Update: got a very positive reply back from owner which shows they are trying to improve and take their business seriously. Will try again if given the opportunity with hopes the food will be better.

First review. I never write a review. But when I ate the double dragon I had to post. I got this at work where the food truck came by and it was Literally one of the best sandwiches I ever had in my life. Fried Egg, pulled pork, chicken so tender, top it off with some greens and a slight kick. Simply amazing. Only down side. The double dragon costs 12 bucks. Worth? You bet.

Ultimate AGT Fries: I had really debated over buying this. When I got to the truck I saw it was $ 10 and $ 1 if you wanted to add egg. I didn’t walk for nothing though, so I ended up buying it. It was prettyyyyy bomb lol. Firstly, I didn’t know it was gonna be a sorta spicy. But then again that with a grain of salt, I’m known to be a weenie when it comes to spiciness. So if you’re also like me, don’t be too worried to try it, I still loved it. The waffle fries were also good, especially with the bits of bacon. And it definitely was messy, when the egg broke I had to put my hair up hahah. & It was super filling! Only question I have is that I thought dino nuggets were included? Did they change it? I searched everywhere in my tray and no nugget. I mean it was tasty either way, but still… College students love their dino nuggets yo! Nevertheless, I’m giving 5 stars. If I really wanted to treat myself(it’s still $ 11) I guess I’d have it again(but I really wanted a dino nugget). It was good and the portions were huge which was great for the day.

I had the Falkor and it was so good. The bacon, the egg, the slaw and the fried chicken tasted so good on that soft, yummy brioche bun. I an waiting for a chance to try the rest of the items on their menu

The food truck was at the Treasure Island Flea Market. I saw someone walk by with those waffle fries and decided to give it a try. I ordered the pulled pork and the fries. It came out surprisingly fast, considering the long line. I thought the flavors of the pulled pork were a little more sour than I expected and eating it was fun — i.e. a bit messy. Fries were pretty good. With a bottle of water, the cost was about $ 15, give or take with a tip.

One word: WHOA… Adam’s Grub Truck is one of my favorite food trucks for its delicious food & portion size. All the sandwiches look and sound amazing so it was hard for me to choose. I decided to go with the Kraken and the Double Dragon because they both sounded interesting and different from each other. Kraken: –Lemon Pepper and Garlic Fried Soft Shell Crabs, Pickled Ginger, Hickory Smoked Bacon, Avocado Wasabi, Roasted Seaweed and Sriracha Sauce on a Brioche Bun. Ok, what doesn’t sound good about all these ingredients? The soft shelled crabs were perfectly spiced, the pickled ginger went really well with the overall ingredients, avocado wasabi wasn’t overwhelming and the brioche bun was toasted to perfection. Double Dragon: –Panko-crusted Fried Chicken, Drunken Pulled Pork, Muenster Cheese, Hickory Smoked Bacon and a Fried Egg topped with Grubbin’ Asian Slaw on a Brioche Bun My #1 favorite. What popped out to me about this sandwich was literally everything. I love fried eggs in my sandwiches. The egg yolk just flows out of the sandwich on top with this perfect crusty fried chicken and Asian slaw. The pulled pork was a nice touch to the sandwich but the main star was the fried chicken. I would definitely recommend this one. OH. Have you heard of the gnarly«The Ultimate Adam Bomb Challenge» sandwich? Fist bump to anyone that is able to beat that challenge because whoaa. That’s a huge sandwich. Just all the ingredients listed is overwhelming: (Two Spam, Egg, Bacon, grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Panko-Crusted Fried Chicken, Drunken Pulled Pork, Lots of Cheese, Lots of Eggs, Five Spice Garlic Grilled Chicken, Spam, Shiitake Mushrooms, Jalapenos, Lots of Bacon, another Grilled Cheese Sandwich to help level the Beast, Grubbin’ Asian Slaw, Waffle Cut Fries and Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets) Geez Luis. But if you complete the challenge in 30 minutes, you win a T-shirt, get your photo on the truck and a gift card for a free sandwich! And… a standing ovation. Overall, great food truck! Love everything about it!

Hands down one of the best food trucks in the business! Not only is the owner friendly and down to earth, but the food and his crew makes is just sooooo good! I find it difficult to eat any other coleslaw from other places. The slaw from Adam’s grub truck is… I don’t know what he puts in it or makes it, but it’s simply delicious! Hashasaurus fries, falkor, drunken master, kelekona, especially the kraken, Adam Bomb! They’re all good if you’re looking for a hearty filling meal! Food coma guaranteed afterwards!

This place had one of the biggest lines with Señor Sisig at Soma StrEat Food Park’s New Years Day Brunch. My +1 and I picked Adam’s Grub as the sandwiches they offer looked good. Note that they are not for everyone though(not too vegan friendly!) :-D I’m not a fan of meat or cheese so I asked to remove the egg & cheese from the Vegetarian Wingless sandwich. I was left with 5 mushrooms, 2 pieces of cabbage, a bit of sauce… I basically just paid $ 9 — only for a bun(that was average/good)! The shiitakes tasted good & my +1 liked his chicken sandwich but it was quite small. The staff was super friendly and the ingredients are very fresh so I’ll give 4* as it’s not Adam’s fault that I’m not a fan of meat :-D !

Just a really good place to get good. The owner is such a nice person with the biggest heart. Everything he makes is with love. I got the chance to taste his food many times and I have to say the sliders are the best I’ve ever had. Small enough to get me full and not messy at all. The fries are incredible. Crispy, crunchy and delicious. The garlic noodles are outstanding. You’ll never go hungry here. Everything is tasty and hits the spot. I really admire someone who comes from a office type position to living his dream of opening a restaurant. And knowing what to do with little or no experience. He’s famous now. Go try his cooking, he’s an awesome chef!

No words but DELICIOUS! Adams Grub truck came to our friends house for a birthday. Man, the selection all looked good, but I ended up with the falkor sandwhich & the akc fries. Let me tell you there was nothing left on my plate when I was done. A little bit of Asian a little bit of comfort food = pure bliss!

Definition of GRUB: [gruhb] (n) — food (v) — to supply with food; to eat Real-life Example: Blaine: Hey Jamie, where do you wanna go grub? Jamie: Well, since you said«grub» let’s go get a Kraken at Adam’s Grub Truck! Blaine: Brilliant! You are the smartest person I know! Not to mention, the most good-looking. It must be extremely hard to fight off all the women you meet! Jamie: Yep Actually, I don’t have a friend named Blaine. This isn’t Pretty In Pink nor do I live in Beverly Hills! The rest is true, though. I could go on and on how good The Kraken sandwich is from AGT. However, that wouldn’t be exactly fair since all their other food is just as good. I mean, come on, look at some of the items on the menu: You have a pulled pork sandwich on BRIOCHE with Muenster cheese, delicious Asian slaw, and liquid dragon fire sauce(Drunken Master), a sandwich that has all that, but includes panko-crusted fried chicken, bacon, and my favorite ANEGG(Double Dragon) and of course, the ultimate«side-dish-as-meal,» The Ultimate AGT Fries, which has seasoned criss-cut fries, pulled pork, bacon bits, cheese, slaw, jalapenos, an egg, Tapatio sauce, and of course, 2 dinosaur chicken nuggets to finish it off! As for service, you can’t get any friendlier. Adam is «Da Man!» The times I’ve went there, he’s given me suggestions and helped me out with some tricks to make my food even«grubbier.» I guess my only gripe is that they’re not in the South Bay enough at lunch. Come on, Adam, hook up your SJ fans for some lunch time treats! Oh, and I can’t forget to mention in this review that they recently added a new item called the Sho’Nuff Hot Dog. It’s basically a hot dog with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, avocado wasabi, Asian slaw, Tapatio and topped with bacon bits. Actually, who cares what’s on it. I’d order it on the name alone! Come on, go ahead and FUC my review now. It’s probably the only one you’ll ever see that pays homage to 80’s movies, Pretty In Pink and The Last Dragon in one review!

I’ve seen this truck many times at the Moveable Feast Foster City and finally got around to trying it recently. I’ve heard good things about this truck and had to check it out myself! I went with the Falkor– fried chicken, egg, and bacon with cheese and slaw. All that good stuff in one sandwich makes for a tasty mess. Not cheap at $ 9.50 but it’s a good one! I’d definitely like to try their other sandwiches as well, can’t wait to see them again!

I just tossed my lunch in the trash after eating a few pieces of raw chicken. It wasn’t thoroughly cooked and my noodles weren’t either. My noodles tasted hard, like half way cooked. It was very hard and chewy, my chicken had a very undercooked taste too and I couldn’t do it anymore. The truck had some appetizing sandwiches but none of it looks healthy. I am sure Adam does make a huge effort in making a great meal but the quality doesn’t seem to be as great. I hope to try it again and maybe it will be better next time.

It’s been a while since I last reviewed Adam’s Grub Truck. After all, back then they were still just in their infancy. And since then, a lot of great things have happened: –Created a couple new interesting sandwiches, one of which got featured on Travel Channel. The Kraken — Garlic Pepper Soft Shell Crab, Hickory Smoked Bacon, Roasted Seaweed, Pickled Ginger, Asian Slaw, Avocado Wasabi, on a Brioche Bun This sandwich is amazing! The Soft Shell Crab is tasty, plus the Bacon and Seaweed help enhance the flavor. It’s like you’re eating a Spider Roll in a Bun. It’s a little pricey though, but it’s well worth it to indulge in to every once in a while. It’s so unique that it was featured on Travel Channel’s Deep Fried Paradise 4( ). The Kelekona – Grilled Spam and Egg topped with Hickory Smoked Bacon, Grubbin’ Asian Slaw and Roasted Seaweed, on a Brioche Bun. This actually became my favorite sandwich when Adam first put it on the menu. It really is a crazy combination of meats that works to well together. It’s all about the spam really. And like the Krakken which tasted like a Spider Roll, the Kelekona kind of tastes like a Spam Musubi, but in sandwich form. –Created a ridiculous food challenge which as of today I still believe it hasn’t been conquered. I have not tried the Ultimate Adam Bomb Challenge and I probably never will unless someone pays for me. It is a beast with Spam, Egg, Bacon, grilled cheese sandwiches on top and bottom, fried chicken nuggets, pulled pork, jalapenos, two eggs, five spice garlic grilled chicken, 3 slices of spam, more cheese, and loads of bacon surrounded by Slaw and Fries. Just reading all that feels painful! Kudos to whoever is the first person or any other people that will conquer it. –Opened up his own pop-up in the Richmond. In partnership with Chug Pub, they brought their Asian Fusion grub to their menu. It’s great to see that they’re giving it a test run to see if they open up their own brick and mortar some day. Recently, I stopped by AGT when they were at SoMa Streat Food Park and tried out their Grubbin’ Garlic Noodles with Five Spice Chicken, which was their special of the day( ). It’s a really solid garlic noodle plate and they gave a huge amount which was plenty to satisfy my noodle cravings and more. I hope it becomes a regular menu item. All in all, it’s been an amazing 4 years for Adam’s Grub Truck. Kudos to Adam for staying humble and for all the success he and his crew have been having. It’s earned a well deserved 5 stars!

Their AGT waffle fries always hit the spot for me. Portion size is huge and I can never finish it by myself in one sitting. The only thing about it is that the portion size changes, can range from a large to go tray(if there’s seating area around), or medium compostable box or a LARGE compostable box.(I might have pictures to show) Absolutely freaking flavourful and delicious. I have yet to try their burgers(mostly because I didnt feel like getting my hands dirty with no wash area around), but I’ve heard many great things about them. Overall, Adam’s Grub Trucks is on my list to frequent if I ever stumble upon them.

Coming up to San Francisco from LA, I did some research for food spots and trucks that have been on tv, as I always do prior to a trip Adams Grub Truck came up but we did not seem to have a chance to visit. Luckily, they stopped by Walker Stalker Con on Sunday and I was still there Sunday! yay! after perusing the menu, I spotted the«As Seen on TV» sign for the Drunken Master. and that was my order! it was ready rather quick, but figured everything was made on the go for the crowd the Drunken Master has drunken pulled pork with asian fusion sauce, muenster cheese, jalapeños, «liquid dragon fire», with asian slaw and toasted bun! the bun was fantastic! greatly toasted, crispy yet soft, and warm, very good bun! the pork was delicious; plenty of meat, juicy, flavorful, and not too messy but messy just enough! the coleslaw was crunchy, fresh, and not too mayo-y which paired well with the spicy sauce and jalapeños, but the sauce was not THAT spicy. still a great balance! the cheese was thick and delicious, creamy, and paired well in this sandwich, BUT I wish they broiled or did something to make it actually melt; would have been nicer to have ooey gooey melty cheese! still, besides the few mishaps, a 4⁄5 and would gladly return if I run into them in SanFran again!

I have to start by saying that I was very dissapointed with the hamburger this food truck sales, based on Unilocal reviews I really thought the burgers were going to be extremely delicious. I had told my friend about this food truck and we were planning on going to San Francisco to try their burgers. Well we were lucky because the food truck came to us, my friend calls me and he was like«hey that food truck that you were telling me about it’s here by Stanford clinics.» I started calling them so I could place my order over the phone, I called them over 8 times and noone answered. I had my friend order two burgers for me. I order the Double Dragon and Madd Phoenix, both of the burgers had a weird taste sweet and salty, the bread tasted like if it was the cheapest bread that they could use. The burgers are extremely SMALL expensive and they don’t even come with fries. Everyone has a different taste on food and that’s why this truck has a lot of positive reviews, but this food is Definitely NOT my taste.

One does not simply walk into 6 lb sando. Freeze! Background: Been wanting to try this truck since like a year ago. F i n a l l y caught it on a day it 1) was in town 2) not in the middle of my work hours 3) in the rain BUT3.5) didn’t cancel like they otherwise do for rain. Unfreeze! Flashdance just shuffled in on my headphones. So ready for this. Aaaand denied. Turns out neither the Ultimate Adam Bomb(6 lb’er) nor regular Adam Bomb can be ordered when Adam isn’t there; he likes to be present to «set you up» for #challengeaccepted. Fair enough. Yet even without challenges and just wanting it simply to-go, those items are still #hallandoatesstatus*. They’re nevertheless displayed with the rest of the menu. #teaseoutwithyourcleaseout So I didn’t get anything — I left because #gogrossorgohome, son. ++ Call ahead or make an appointment. ++ *Can’t go for that no can do.

Very nice and friendly guy! He asked how we found out about him I told him I saw him on the travel channel and had to hunt him down. I ordered 3 and he looked at me like I was crazy but I told him they were for some friends he gave us fried eggs on the house! The kraken was light and crisp. The soft shell crab was light and delicious. the egg was runny(how I like it) and perfect! The slaw was refreshing. The wasabi mayo was on point I love that extra kick. It may be too much of a kick for some but for me it was right on!

Man, OH man. The hashasaurus fries are not only the cutest thing ever(with dino nugget hidden inside), but also the best thing I’ve ever eaten from a food truck. I may be a little biased, since corned beef hash is one of my favorite foods and AGT does an amazing Asian-fusion twist on it, but there is something so homey and special about potato on potato with some sriracha and wasabi slaw to balance out the crisp potatoes seasoned with meat and more potatoes + fried egg. I know that seems like a lot of things in your mouth, but you’ll just have to try it to get it. I’LLBEBACKFORYOUHASHASAURUS. :)

The Falkor, which was the chicken slobbered with cole slaw, runny egg, bacon and packed in between a brioche bun, looked mightily good to the eye! However, one bite of it, left me wanting for more flavor to get out of it. It was tasteless. They offer other messy burgers, which is great for grub food. You do strike up a bargain if it is your first time there and you make your purchase on Square! Nice! If the Falkor is like the others, then I wouldn’t care for it.

AGT is a pretty ridiculous truck, so I can understand the appeal of its food. There’s some novelty with their messy sandwiches and Ultimate Adam Bomb Challenge, but I can’t say that I really enjoyed their food. I’ve visited their truck a few times, and I’ve tried the Shrimp Kraken and the Double Dragon. The Shrimp Kraken is like the regular Kraken but with deep fried shrimp instead of a soft shell crab. I should’ve read the full description, because I had no idea it had pickled ginger inside until I took my first bite. I immediately tasted the pickled ginger, and its cloying flavor overwhelmed everything else. That combination really didn’t work for me. I’m pretty sure pickled ginger is suppose to be used as a palate cleanser, not as a condiment. The Double Dragon has a fried chicken cutlet, pulled pork, and bacon. I’ve had it twice, and the chicken was overcooked and dry each time. The pulled pork was tender, but not really flavorful — just kinda sweet and salty. It was made with some sweet soy sauce(kinda like a less complex Chinese red braise) that turned the bread all soggy. The thick cut, smoky bacon was good, but it wasn’t enough to save the sandwich. The portion sizes are fun and all, but I don’t think the food tastes that great.
