Been going to Addys for a couple years now and it’s just as great as ever. The staff is friendly and really goes the extra mile to get your hair looking just the way you want it. Marsha in particular is great. I’m really picky about my hair and she gets it right every time!

I happened to drop in here for a haircut without an appointment. I was pleased I did. The staff were very attentive, engaging and did a fine job of cutting my hair to my satisfaction.
It’s not cheap and a men’s cut and wash will set you back $ 40. Maybe for SF that is ok but where I come from it’s a bit rich for a haircut. I did not hesitate to pay once I realized how well they had done the job and I walked out satisfied.
What more can you want in a hair salon? It’s clean, well equipped and good staff.

Been going to Addy’s Hair Salon since 1999. Addy knows how to cut hair and that is why I keep coming back. Just recently had highlights put in since I have been in the process of gradually going lighter in my hair color. Naturally my hair is black and gotten my hair to a golden brown in the past year. Since I felt I needed some dimension, Marcia suggested I get lighter pieces put in. She is awesome and trusted her expertise. The end result was amazing and very pleased how it turned out and I highly recommend her!

Ok, so I’m really not one to generally do this but I’m sorry this is necessary. I went to Addy’s about a month ago. Marcia did the color, Addy the cut. I asked for a shoulder length ombré bob. My hair previous to this was my natural dirty strawberry blonde that I had been growing out from a pixie cut for close to two years, with minor trims to cut off dead ends. Marcia told me she would be putting the highlights up higher to make it last longer. Ok, fine. Cool, I’m thinking I won’t have to come back for a while. However, once my hair was styled it was not what I asked for (even considering her change of plans that she informed me of). It was way blonder overall than expected. I commented that I thought the darker portion of the ombré would be longer, that it would be more of an ombré. Marcia and Addy assured me «that it was such a drastic change it would take getting used to». No, actually I was ready for the drastic change, it just doesn’t look anything like the reference pictures I showed you. But ok, even though it’s not what I wanted, seemingly, it didn’t look that bad. She could tell I was not that happy about the end result so she ended up giving me a slight discount. Ok, fine, I can deal. However, today as I straightened my hair for the first time since this cut and color (I have naturally curly hair that I generally just put curl product in and let dry naturally), I found that there were SPOTS of my natural dark blonde color throughout the layers of the bleached blonde and a huge one at the bottom of my top layer of hair. SPOTS. Like chunks of hair that she had missed entirely during the coloring process. I did not notice this until now because of the curl in my hair. It blends pretty well to hide this when I wear my hair curly. But I should be able to wear my hair straight or curly, and still be comfortable and confident with it. In addition, the blend underneath the top layers are distinct and just looks like a grown out bleaching, not a well blended ombré. Cut was good enough but overpriced.

It’s been a year! Last year Marcia gave me vibrant red, this year super cool turquoise my hair looks shiny and smells amazing, and it feels as soft and healthy as before! Thank you Marcia and Addy!

I walked in cause another salon was over booked, best accident ever. Best hair cut of my life. I have curly hair and Addy new what he was doing with it. I walked in on a Saturday morning and was immediately treated to a deep condition, cut and style (at a really reasonable price, wellllll under $ 100). After the cut, I asked them to blow it out straight with body, and it’s the best blowout ever. I have yet to style it curly with my new cut (since I just got it) but I’m sure it will be fantastic.

I have been coming here for a couple of years now. Because they always do an amazing job. I always get my hair colored by marcia and she does this very unique red on my hair. I have extremely thick hair and it’s a lot of work but she always takes her time and makes it look great. I get so many compliments on my hair. Definitely go see her if you want some amazing hair color. She also recently styled my hair for my anniversary and made me look so pretty for going out on the town with my boyfriend.
Addy, the owner is really great at what he does! See him for a cut. My sister, my mom and I have all gotten many hair cuts by addy and he really knows what he’s doing. If you don’t want someone to mess up your hair then go see addy. He’s one of the best in the city!!!
I wouldn’t see anyone else but him!

I only moved to SF a month ago and back home my aunt is a hairstylist, so after having the same woman cut my hair for 22 years I was definitely nervous about having to find a new stylist. I walk past Addy’s every day to and from work and after seeing good reviews decided to give it a try.
Addy himself did my hair, and he was a total sweetheart. He instantly welcomed me as I got to the salon and was extremely friendly the entire visit. I showed him some pictures of what I wanted but also said I trusted what he thought worked best for my face and he ran with that. He did end up leaving my hair longer in the back than I originally requested, but I’m okay with it. The cut he gave me frames my face perfectly and is exactly what I needed. I’m definitely going to be a returning customer.

The first time I came here, it was a complete accident. I had booked an appointment somewhere else in SF to get my hair cut short for the first time in my life, and by the time I got there (20 minutes late) they had understandably dropped me. I’m so glad they did, because I was so determined to get my hair cut that day that I searched for a different place and found Addy’s!
Addy’s is absolutely fantastic. I’ve been here several times and I’ve never received anything less than a wonderful haircut! I love the atmosphere and energy, and I love watching Teagan and Addy interact with each other and with the customers. Every time I come here I feel really welcome and comfortable — and I always receive compliments afterwards.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Everyone here knows hair really well and knows exactly what to do to make you look great and to make you feel good about yourself!
