Wow! I had no idea what to do with the family portrait with the missing five inches of very intricate frame. Peter told me it would be $ 500 – 750 but fixed it for $ 400. You can’t even tell where he was working!

I love this place and this review is long overdue.
Peter helped me save a painting frame that wasn’t extremely valuable. Only about 1k.
What struck me was he also told me that the age of my piece wasn’t correct and then I took it to Bonhams and they that it was a colonial school piece.

Peter is a wonderful frame artist of the highest caliber. His sense of frame complimenting the art work is most helpful, and when relied upon has proven to be perfect. A fine frame is more than just the finish, it in most cases enhances the art work and gives it a presence that it astounding.
Because of the forgoing comments a custom frame is worth far more than simply going to a ready-​made store and adding an inexpensive piece of wood. Dealers understand the importance of «presentation» — the frame usually makes, and completes the total work of art.
…and Peter is a very fine and pleasant person to deal with; he is very patient in working with you in selecting an appropriate frame… and within your budget.

Peter did a wonderful job framing my husband’s diploma. Peter built the frame himself, I don’t think anyone else in the city can do that. The end result was amazing. Highly recommend.

Peter at Aedicule was a life-​saver. I inherited a piece of art, and the frame broke in transit. (Thanks FedEx art-​pack.) The main concerns are that the frame has a beveled outer edge where most frames have flat outer edges, and a silver paint that would be difficult to match.
I took the broken frame to 3 frame shops and called a 4^th, before bringing the it to Aedicule. None of them could come close to replacing the frame. One frame shop owner commented that she hadn’t seen a frame like that in the 34 years she’d been in the business.
However, in 15 minutes, Peter knew a place where he could purchase a custom cut frame edge, from which he could manufacture a replacement.
