«It is at Age Song»… after hearing that I could hear the ocean waves and chimes and nature sound CDs #6 at the display at Target. I came for the Heavy Hitters art show party and instead I got a line up of hot Djs. The space was good, bright, good lighting. They are flexible bc this was an «urban» paint art show and along the hallway leading to the bathroom many artists joyfully scrawled the walls. People were skateboarding through, dancing, brown baggin. Warning: If you’re coming to a crowded show, the bathroom is one bathroom for everyone, so get a beer at a bar down the street and use theirs. The most super-cool thing about the space other than the art in it, is the scion-sponsored elevated seating. Besides having good climby cush, the height-staggered seats will elevate you to the ceiling of the gallery, allowing you to see the gallery from different heights and views. Try not to wear light pants because people step on the cushions. Sitting atop this piece, I lost myself in my thoughts and when called to come down, Orrinoco Flow was playing in my head over the breaks.

I like the conversion from store to gallery as well. Current exhibit is the 5th Annual Altered Barbie Show. I was drawn in by the big windows showcasing some of the pieces. It’s a big space inside too. Yeah, just until the show is over, don’t take the little ones or if you’re gonna pass by with little ones, make sure you are walking across the street. They’ll be scarred.

Best use of a former corner store ever. Sunday: 1 — 5pm Wednesday: 12noon — 7pm Thursday: 12noon — 7pm Friday: 12noon — 7pm Saturday: 12noon — 7pm I’m really not a fan of the Barbie massacre that is going on there right now though.
