Note that my complaint is not specific to this store, but rather, to the brand of Alexis Bittar. I purchased a pair of Alexis Bittar Lucite Sliver Earrings(in gold) at a boutique in Vancouver. The second time I wore them, the hook came out of the earring and the earring fell to its death. So, I asked for another pair for my birthday in order to match the wedding outfit for which I had initially purchased the earrings. My dad bought them at Nordstrom. Upon the first wear, the hook once again, fell out and broke. $ 200 later, I emailed Alexis Bitter Customer Service asking for them to replace or repair the earring. They responded that I could not prove that it was a manufacturing error and mitigated the blame to the retailers. I find it pretty unlikely that, as they proposed, an error on both retailers’ end would cause my earrings to break in the same fashion twice. Granted the high-end nature of the brand, I found it very unsettling that they refused to take care of me as a customer because I could not prove it was their fault. Considering I am now $ 200 out, they have certainly insured that I will never buy from them again. Even if they are Too Big to Fail, they should still take care of their customers.

Wonderful customer service. Rochelle the store manager was very patient when I spent 30 min trying to decide which sale pieces to buy. :) Alexis Bittar designs are whimsical — definitely statement pieces but still fun. Check out this place when you find yourself on Fillmore.

If heaven had a storefront … My friend turned me on to Sir Alexis Bittar’s creations and my my my, for someone who’s not a jewelry addict, I sure have turned into a Bittar addict. The girls in the shop are absolutely lovely — even when I stroll in looking disheveled in my puffy North Face jacket with no intention to buy(looking never hurts, ladies). They always make sure to show me little finds that are not on the shelf but that are on sale, and they urged me to sign up for the newsletter where you get deeper discounts — and 15% off your first purchase online or in the store. Love.

Alexis Bittar is most well known for their chic lucite and jagged statement jewelry. Sure you can find a few pieces at Neiman’s or Shopbop, but at this boutique on Fillmore, you have the entire collection at your finger tips, displayed perfectly in sparkling glass and mirrored shelves. Gorgeous unique quality pieces, yet still somewhat affordable. I came in for last minute options on earrings for my wedding. I wanted something different and unexpected. The staff was so warm and helpful and best of all not pretentious! They helped me find the perfect earrings to match my dress! A.B. also always have amazing sales so always worth dropping in when you’re shopping on Fillmore. Thank you so much for you help and your advice!

Alexis Bittar is phenomenal. I’ve loved this funky lucite statement jewelry forever. The sales staff at this particular store are great. Jessica and Ashley have been super helpful – never pushy! Fun place to stop by when walking around Fillmore.

Great designs, but don’t tell me that something gold-plated is gold, and then don’t tell me a $ 400 necklace isn’t silver because you want to keep prices down.

Can’t believe nobody has reviewed Alexis Bittar yet! This store has been on Fillmore Street for over a year now. I love Alexis Bittar and while pricey, a lot of his pieces are hand painted and/or finished by hand in the US. The rhinestones are set well-nothing feels flimsy or like it’s going to fall apart on you. Prices range from around $ 45 for a plain painted lucite ring to around $ 700 for a very fancy statement necklace. The store is decorated with taxidermy animals so not for the PETA members. They also offer amazing antique jewels-a small selection but everything is hand selected. Not gonna lie, I can be a cheapass and honestly hate paying a lot of money for costume jewelry but I will always make an exception for Alexis Bittar. His pieces are collectible and hold their value. The colored lucite has this amazing unearthly glow. I could go on… let’s just finish this review by saying I APPROVEWHOLEHEARTEDLY.
