I live four blocks further up the hill at Sutter, but gladly walk the extra blocks(and past other corner stores) to shop here. I come here at least once a week for veggies, Mexican sweetbreads, spices and other basics. The place is clean, the staff are always friendly and the prices are low, especially for the fresh produce. They have recently reorganized the dry produce, and it makes more sense, too. Thanks for being here, Amigo’s!

My favorite corner market to go when I need to pick up a few produce items for dinner! Service is always with a smile and a friendly«How are you?.» For a tiny market, they pack as much as they can, with produce and veggies spilling out onto the sidewalk. Dirt cheap prices, and fresh tasting veggies. No wilted lettuce or darkening fruit here! Plus, they sell Vietnamese baguettes to make banh mi at home! The crazies will come in here a lot, but the owners take no bs. There’s no liquor or alcohol sold here so you won’t have a problem with drunks coming in and harassing you… usually. I can always count on Amigo’s market for helping me out with late dinners. Thanks guys!

Love this little shop. They seem to have all the foods that one might need for that«emergency» stop when they realize, like I often do, that they forgot to buy the tomatoes… or salt… or bacon… or potatoes… or onions… They have a pretty decent veggie and fruit selection, sodas, spices, lots of junk food and a small refrigerated section of dairy and deli meat products. The guys at the register are nice, and the place is open pretty late. I cannot complain. Amigo’s is just awesome.

The elder Middle Eastern who goes by «Robert», is openly homophobic. I was shopping for a rather large purchase when a transexual entered the store and purchased something. When she left, I heard Robert making disparaging comments«f*cking gay», etc. In addition to that he was previously heard cursing about«pussies». And it’s not even like he was talking to anyone. He was OPENLY and loudly saying it to himself, seemingly to make his bigotry known to the world. I put all of my merchandise back on the shelf and left. I WON’T be back. The young guy who owns the store is a pleasant guy. He should be ashamed of his father. I should also add that when I told Robert why I was leaving and wouldn’t be back. He said, «I don’t care». Perhaps his son cares. I would hope that he does.

Best store in the area with friendliest personnel. Their produce section is amazing and the prices unbeatable. I love going to Amigos!

For 6 years the amigos market has provided quality fruits, vegetables and other necessary products for my basic cooking. Their is a wide selection of candy, chips, drinks, and seasonings plus a decent selection of pet foods. The owners are cool guys and they attract the most customers of any market I see in the area .and they dont even sell alcohol .a good idea. the late night crowd on the corner is already sloppy enough. i will continue to snag some groceries, the occasional morning coffee from the hot pot provided. and purchase the most affordable American spirits in the city(until I quit) from this store I was blessed enough to have moved in above.

Largest selection of produce on my block and cheap too, so that’s an easy 5 stars.

this is right next to my job. The owner and employees are friendly and not lecherous. I give them big stars for having casa sanchez chips and selling eggplants for 99 cents each.(almost $ 3 at Albertsons last time I checked). And they really do have produce there!

Basic corner convenience store in the Tenderloin. I wish they could combine about ten of these and get a real grocery store.
