I highly recommend Jose, I’ve been going to him for years, anybody who wants a great haircut, go here, always friendly, always polite, you will never be more happy with Jose, he is a very respectful person, very excellent stylist, he also offers you drinks if you want…

I’ve been seeing Anthony for 13 years. I started with long hair and over the years I’ve been going shorter and shorter (and thinner and thinner, but I can’t blame anybody for that! :-)) I’ve gotten good cuts for all the varying lengths over the years.
It’s not «upscale», it’s not fancy, just good solid barbering (if that’s a word) at a reasonable price.

I found this barber shop by accident. I wanted to get a haircut and it was Sunday. I was walking around the Castro and saw a sign advertising a stylist. That stylist could not take me, but referred me to the place where I did get my hair cut; which was a stones through from his place. He told me to ask for Jose.
The haircut turned out awesome. Jose was warm and personable. He really did a great job and I will be back again. And get this, it was only $ 20!!! He also gave me advice on care of my hair things not to do… just routine stuff, not trying to sell me anything. I just moved here from LA, so I can check off the, «Find Stylist» box in my mind. I have already done that now.

I have been going to Anthony’s as a barber for about 10 years now. He offers a great precision razor cut and trim. I have thick hair and Anthony is one of the few barbers I have ever met who knows how to do a crewcut that can grow out and you can re-​groom so you look daper! I have people comment on my hair all the time. When I asked Anthony to cut me a faux hawk he did and there was the time I tried to trim my own hair (bad idea) Anthony was there to the rescue. Anthony works only a couple days a week at this location as he has another shop in Piedmont.
Very reasonable rates!

It is best to call ahead and set an appiintment and Anthony is always good at maeking reminder phone calls.
