I stumbled upon Apollo while on Divisadero and looking for parking and boy was I glad I did. A super quaint coffee shop that was really exactly what I would look for in my local corner coffee shop. I can’t say I’m in the NoPa area too often so I’m sad to see they’ve closed down. I suppose the location was just too difficult, but thanks Apollo, I really liked everything about this location and coffee shop.

I took two buses to get here on weekends a few months ago. This was a great place to pound out my grad application essays. The space was great– very ideal seating(small 1 – 2 person seats) and great lighting from large windows facing Eddy and Divis. The coffee was spectacular, got a soy latte every time and the latte art always brought a smile too my face. They have lots of sofa and comfy couch seatings for those of you who want to relax and chat with friends. I’m glad to enjoy Apollo while they were around, such a shame when I drove by last week and saw it covered up :(

Apollo coffee, otherwise known as «my office». Fabulous place to get work done, good coffee, ample seating, nice staff. Only bummer is the 5 pm close time.

An open and bright space with individual table seating and couches for lounging and group meeting/discussions with low ambient background music. Conversation tends to remain on a low buzz and the clientele tend to be respectful of others, but I would suggest headphones if you have difficulty focusing. In fact, on my visit there were a group of professionals brainstorming in the front lounge area, a student studying and what seemed to be an instructor holding a teleconference meeting providing feedback on computer programming platform. WHOA. The coffee is decent, although, if I were to visit again I would most likely just get a regular coffee and pass on the overly sweet Mocha. They serve Intelligentsia coffee. As mentioned, there are plenty of outlets compared to other coffee houses. What I like about this place is that it is really accessible and conducive to productivity. All in all, I would recommend as a good study, conversation and meeting spot. I’ll definitely be back!!!

Their hot chocolate is truly amazing. And FWIW I’m Belgian and quite obsessed with chocolate :) The place is cozy and a great place to read and relax.

Average café. Although it is a Saturday afternoon, I was expecting a little more business than five other people here. This is a great place to study if you’re looking for the silence of a library with some background music. I personally like working to the white noise of coffee machines and drinks being made with music and light talking. The place could be better for a tea drinker like me if they had freshly brewed tea on ice instead of pre-brewed cold tea served with ice. I will not be coming back here on a weekend. Too boring.

This is a nice little coffee shop in NoPa, but nothing really special about it. My bf stopped by for a latte while in the area. They have a good selection of teas and the standard coffee and espresso drinks. My soy latte tasted like your average soy latte, but this would be a good place to study or do some work at since it’s quiet there is a row of desks and chairs lined up in the middle of the shop; it reminded me of a classroom. There are also comfy looking seats around the place.

I have never been to a coffee shop where someone comes to my table and asks me what I want to drink. Obviously when you go to a coffee shop you are there to find a quiet place and to have a beverage, but I would prefer to get my own drink whenever I am ready to order one. Anyway, the owner, who was working the counter alone, came up to me and asked me what I wanted to drink. I first asked to get a vanilla late, which I have purchased there once before a long time ago, and he said they do not have it! Then I ordered a green tea. I was immediately thrown off by his approach. I give two stars because I like the seats and the size of the café, but to overall experience I give zero stars. Sadly I wont be coming back here again, the drinks are at best average, would much rather go to a friendlier environment like Café Abir down the street or Café Oasis.

Super cute. Wonder hot chocolate. I’m sure their coffee is amazing too but I’m not much of a coffe person so I can’t help much there! Great for meeting with friends or sitting down to do some work /read a book.

Clean, small, nice. Nothing fancy. I might come here for no frills studying as it’s a few blocks down from my house. Aside from that, it’s no place to venture across the city to. Empanadas were pretty good though.

Found this little café as I was driving down Divis the other day. I think there have been a few business on this corner, so it’s great to see a local café settling in. Aramo definitely has local vibe, the owner is really friendly and the coffee is very good. Definite plusses are: plenty of outlets, free wifi and lots of table space. The only negative is that their selection of food is not all that big, so it really is more of a sit and snack than a meal café. Every time I have been in there, there has been plenty of room and has not been all that crowded. While this is great for working, it might not be all that good for business. I will def stop back in whenever I am in the area.

Nice neighborhood coffee place; nice alternative to all your other Starbucks and Peets chains. One star gets cut for having a 25cent surcharge on all card transactions(makes it awfully inconvenient if you don’t have enough cash and plan on you and plan to stay there for a while [aka buy multiple coffees]) Another star gets taken off for the lack of baked goods options.

Wifi was solid/free, latte was good/fresh, décor was very clean/modern, service was speedy/friendly. P. S.5⁄6 patrons at this establishment were using a mac while I was rockin the HP so you know what you have to do if you want to feel accepted/hip.

Five stars for creating an inviting environment for the laptop crowd. The décor is attractive and modern and the interior has high ceilings and natural light. They’ve got the essentials for the laptop crowd: free wi-fi, comfy seating(especially the couches), bathroom, good strong coffee, tasty eats, power outlets, and non-annoying music. It’s so quiet that I’d feel weird about making a phone call inside. The cases showcase various pastries(muffins, croissants, scones, cupcakes) and treats(tiny truffles). The menu includes paninis($ 7.50), tea, coffee and a granola bowl. They also sell snacks like chips and chocolate bars. And beer: Amstel, Sierra Nevada, Heineken, Chimay and some others. * Latte($ 2.80/$ 3.50/$ 4.20): Pretty good! Not the best in town but better than the average coffeehouse. * Ham & Cheese Panini($ 7.50): Delicious! Made to order, the Panini featured thinly slice smoke ham, Parmesan cheese, Gruyère cheese, very crunchy buttered bread, mayo, and fresh basil. Good ingredients. The bread was too crunchy/hard and the filling a bit salty. The hours aren’t the most convenient(they don’t open early enough) and I’m not sure how easy it is to find parking here on a weekday. Okay, it’s not easy but there are some all day spaces if you look on the side streets. Credit cards are accepted.
