April is not only one of the most warm and sweet women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, but she is also extremely talented at what she does. I have extremely thick, crazy, kinky curly hair that needs a lot of taming. She always cuts it exactly right and does the coloring just perfectly. I have recommended her to many people (who are all now regulars!). She makes you feel so comfortable and I felt that she was confident in what she was doing. Not only that, but she worked with my pretty tiny college budget to really maximize what I was paying for!

April is awesome in every way!!! I’ve been to her twice so far and have been extremely pleased with the results. I wear my hair natural (curly, wavy, kinky) and she has an amazing eye for cutting it perfectly. I’ve been to other places before and stylists have either told me they cannot cut natural hair or they would have to straighten my hair first and then cut it. Not for me! I’ve also been going through some medical issues which caused my hair to change and thin out. April was very informative on ways to improve and care for my hair during this time. Beyond being an awesome hair stylist, April is super sweet and has a wonderful personality. Always positive, personable and very professional. I love her energy and see why so many people like her. I recommend her to everyone!!!

I just found April on the web and I got so lucky! Honestly speaking, she gave me the best highlights I’ve ever had. Her salon on 660 Market Street is really nice and I loved the atmosphere she created. We listened to music and talked while she feed me dark chocolate and did my hair. She has such a wonderful bubbly personality. I felt instantly comfortable and relaxed.
Of course the best part was the outcome — the BEST BLOND HIGHLIGHTS I’VE EVER HAD.

It doesnt matter if your hair is thin and dull, curly and whirly, or bald and boring. You can have a high top fade or a lions mane with a duck tail in the back
April can transform your hair into what YOU want it to look like not what she thinks it should look like. April is a visionary and is amazing at what she does. I hate going into a salon and they have superstar prices combined with a superstar attitude. April is by far the nicest stylist u will ever meet. She is also the best at what she does. She will listen to your wants and desires regarding your hair and have a real conversation with you to achieve your look. She also has snacks and tea wooohooo
you will not be waiting around 2 hrs for your appt to start
u will get the personal attention you truly need and deserve. i love april

Cannot tell you how excited I am that April is on Market near the New Montgomery BART! So convenient for me now to see her as often as I can to whip my hair into shape. She is an excellent stylist and fabulous person! If you need quality haircare from a warm and delightful person, get in there to see April!

I cannot say enough about how much I love this smart, beautiful, funny, caring, intuitive woman! And the best part? She’s great at cutting, blowing, flat ironing, conditioning, and finding products that work for your hair needs. She’s also a former nurse, so when she explains what’s going on with your hair she does so in a thorough and informative way. Seeing her is a calm and delightful experience catered to my needs, and it’s done with warmth, smiles, intuition, and expertise. She’s also always on time and has you in and out in a flash, which is wonderful if you’re on a tight schedule like I am sometimes.
All in all, if you’re looking to feel great inside and out, go see April!

April is a godsend. She is a natural, full of intuitive understanding about what would look good on an individual. She takes the time to listen to what you’re describing and has lots of great ideas and suggestions. Working with her on my wedding hair styles has been a pleasure. I feel like I can put my mind at ease, and it’s awesome to have one less thing to have to stress about! Formal up-​dos, soft romantic curls – whatever you’re fancying, April is your gal!

Ladies if you are tired of waiting for 5 or more hours for the stylist to do your hair, then this is the place for you. I have very thick, curly long hair and I am out of there in an hour. April, the stylist, is extremely knowledgeable and so much fun. Salon is very classy and in a great location with easy access to public transportation.

Knowledgeable, professional, classy and convenient are the words I use to describe April. She is a very knowledgeable stylist who is experienced in analyzing what my hair needed when I first came to her. She is an amazing colorist and stylist. I have received so many compliments about my hair. Extremely professional, she is very focused while working on my hair and at the same time she’s a warm and very welcoming person.
She plays really cool, mellow music and this adds to a very relaxed experience while in her studio. The studio is super classy and conveniently located steps from the Montgomery BART station.

April is simply the best! I’ve been going to her for about a year now, and I couldn’t be happier. She does beautiful highlights, and my cuts always look great and grow out well. She’s fun and super friendly, easy to talk to, and has a way of making people feel at ease.
Besides my regular cuts & highlights, April also did my hair and makeup for my wedding last summer, and did a truly wonderful job. She took my fairly vague input and created a style that I absolutely loved.
Five stars all the way!
