I have been showing work with ArtSpan for over 20 years. Recent changes in it’s staff and polices have changed my opinion. I have donated Thousands of dollars to this organization with not one acknowledgement of doing such. Artist’s who donate to ArtSpan should be honored as donor’s! Now they want to charge a $ 45 membership fee on top of other fees($ 250 fall OS).

I liked ArtSpan’s panel discussion before this year’s auction. I thought it was going to be about auctions but it turned out to be about the art world of San Francisco. Some other audience members(people I ran into at the event) also seemed energized by it. I wish there were more of these«review the art world«kind of events.

Hands down BEST Arts organization in the Bay Area! I’ve been to several of their events in the last year and each one is better than the last. As an artist living & working in the bay area, it’s been a breath of fresh air to get to know the staff at ArtSpan and to know that their passion for art and their support of artists is the real deal. They work tirelessly to support hundreds of local artists with opportunities to showcase their work and make direct connections to collectors. If your an art lover, collector or an artist yourself, you must check out ArtSpan. So many great workshops, events and opportunities to be part of a thriving art scene.

ArtSpan provides a great service to up and coming Bay Area artists. Not only is Open Studios a terrific event but the publicity we receive as artists(through Open Studios, the Catalog, the Preview Show and Auction) is invaluable. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work.

The mother of all art events in San Francisco: Open Studios held in October each year. Not to be missed. But a lot more is going on at ArtSpan than just OS. Some of the best art social mixers in the city. Check out their website for details on the next monthly Mixer. They also sponsor a number of juried art events, the annual auction and have been supporting youth art in San Francisco for many years — «Art for City youth». Very vibrant volunteer community so check them out!

Two words: Open Studios. That’s what Artspan is all about. The organization creates venues and events for local San Francisco artists to get out in front of bay area art lovers and get great art at prices anyone can afford. Art span puts on 3 big events each year Open Studios(Every Oct. check out the site for the program), Art Auction and a preview night where you can see work from the various Art Span artists all in one venue and sip cocktails, meet the artists and nibble on great food.
